Bayer Leverkusen are now chasing Bayern Munich in the league standings; they are behind Bayern Munich by 6 points, which is enough points for Bayern Munich to be at the top of the standings.

However, Bayern Munich are not showing any signs of weakness in the Bundesliga currently, so I doubt Bayer Leverkusen can overtake them in the table; there is still a lot to do in the Bundesliga, and the competition is getting more interesting.

For me to consider the league in competition, there needs to be one game difference, right now the difference requires Bayern to lose two games, or tie three more games and I do not see that happening, and even if it does, that also requires Leverkusen to win every single game. Which means I already consider this season over, Bayern Munich has won the title.

The mathematical finish isn't there yet, the cup hasn't been lifted yet, there are so many things that we need to see before this happens, but at the moment we could consider that it is not going to be easy. Next weekend have exactly the same resemblance as two weeks ago in that both Bayern Munic and Bayern Leverkusen  played against teams that they are stronger than. Funny enough, all the big teams lost their matches including Borussia Dortmund. The champions league match may be seen as excuse for such losses which is why I think such will not repeat this week. So it is a good option to combine few of these matches for good gains.

I agree with you and although statistics are the basic reference in determining predictions, but if that is the reference then of course no team has managed to beat another strong team. Bayern Munich in the previous five matches against Inter Milan is also different from now because as far as I see they are slightly lower based on match statistics so it is difficult to say that Bayern Munich will beat Inter Milan.

The reality that I see is that Inter Milan's defense is much better and we can see how they played against Manchester City in the previous seasons in the Champions League, even though they ended up losing narrowly.

Hmm... an interesting option, although it seems to me that it is literally not beneficial for anyone, maybe only for Liverpool, but even then in the short term. Bayer can now focus entirely on the Bundesliga, they don't have any prerequisites yet to hope that they can defend their champions title, but they have to try to do it, and for that they need to win all the matches, they can't lose points, so even though Bochum is not the easiest team, I expect Bayer to beat such an opponent. Despite losing and dropping points I feel Bayern Munich have a better chance of finishing top of the league this season ahead of Leverkusen. Leverkusen are lacking consistency in their performance this season it’s not like Leverkusen will be able to win all their remaining games if Bayern Munich lose more points in the remaining games. This six points gap gives Bayern Munich a good advantage over Leverkusen in the race.

I don't see any comparison of Leverkusen's performance this season to what they did in the German league last season. Leverkusen was an undefeated team last season and from the beginning of the season they performed very well and gradually moved forward and ended the season with good results. Their results in some matches this season seem to be erratic and it is because of their erratic performances that Bayern Munich always have a good chance of winning the league title. To catch up, there is a slight difference in Leverkusen's points with Bayern Munich, and the way Leverkusen is performing, I think for now, their points gap with Bayern Munich will increase. If the points gap increases, the end of the season will see Bayern Munich winning the league title and Leverkusen finishing second or third in the points table.
