As a long time Dortmund fan I can't express how disappointed I am about this match yesterday. So much dominance and unable to score for 75 minutes. They had like 70% possession over the match, 3x shots and yet nothing.

I guess planing the championship party in advance and also reporting about it was not the best idea.
Now the undeserving Bayern "fans" that left the stadium 15min before the end against Leipzig can celebrate whil the loyal BVB supporters can cry. Guess the BVB stock tomorrow will drop quite a bit as well, good job BVB.

Not only did they mess up, Bayern scored short before the end to seal the deal, what an irony.

I agree, don't celebrate too early if you can't deliver - Dortmund totally deserved to lose this championship and I am so glad to not have bet any money on the games yesterday. Most of my friends told me that it's a done deal and there is no way for BVB to not become champions. Being a bit more sceptical helped me to avoid a loss yesterday. It was definitely a very interesting last day and that is what it's all about for the fans. On paper BVB should have won easily against Mainz, same goes for Bayern vs Köln. It was kind of clear that Bayern wasn't going to lose and everything was in the hand from Dortmund to make it work. Being decided on the goal difference in the end is a bit sad, but also deserved for Bayern after managing to score the goal in 89th minute. At least it's not getting too dull in the Bundesliga with Bayern winning so many times in a row the championship several games before the end of the season.

I saw that the Dortmund supporters were very disappointed with the results of this match. Even at the end of the match, the coach and a number of players and fans were sobbing, this was really very touching, I was even moved to see the video footage circulating on social media.

Indeed, Bayern Munich got lucky in this last match because Mainz was able to hold Dortmund and Bayern were able to beat Koln. Everyone on social media is comparing Dortmund fate to Arsenal this season.

Everybody were sad because the title is almost in their hand but Dortmund were failed to win from Mainz which is on the paper the strength is below to them and Dortmund have to wait for 10 years to reach this moment because they were never been so close with the title before so it's normal if the players and the fans feeling dissapoint to this result and i think it's about the mentally and luck because Dortmund had good chances to win the match especially after they got penalty kick in the first half but in fact Haller was failed to scored and this result is very hurt for Dortmund and i am sure it won't be easy to forget it

It was so unexpected and emotional on my side, I was even more sad than I should be and then I had to put myself in the shoes of the players and fans and then I became more sad. The deed has already been done, they should put themselves together and wait for next season to try their luck again.
Comparing Dortmund and Arsenal is an understatement or under comparison, Dortmund case is worse than Arsenal. Assuming Arsenal's opportunity was at the last match, they wouldn't have missed it.

You are right it was a team error, we can't blame just one player. This way if Borussia Dortmund can create more than 2 goals without penalties or they don't concede, then they will still win the match. But the fact is that they had to be 2 goals behind and that made them fail to become champions this season. It really hurts that their struggle had to be stopped by the last 1 match and it hurts even more that they have the same points and only lost to goal productivity.

You can't be so critical of the players, each of them understands the price of this defeat, it will be difficult for them to survive this, but this is a sport, there can only be one winner. The penalty is not the only opportunity Dortmund missed in this match, there were a lot of chances, and besides, their mistake was that they went on the attack and forgot about the defense. They have no one to blame but themselves, the whole team is to blame, not just one individual player.

my prediction is a little bit right that Bayern Munich remains the leader in this bundesliga and Dortmund failed to win the bundesliga this season even though victory was in sight but unfortunately Dortmund suffered a carelessness which ended in a draw.
and on the one hand Bayern Munich is also not going to give up just letting go of the defending bundesliga champion by putting in a strong performance and Tuchel's strategy is very good in this bundesliga putting mental pressure on Dortmund because like Dortmund's hopes will come true but it turns out that Munich strengthened its performance against Koln .

I agree with you. I don't think penalty misses were the main reason for Dortmund's defeat. Dortmund's performance in this match was not good. Dortmund trailed 2-0 in the first half. And they scored the first goal in the 69th minute. And they scored the second goal in 90+6 minutes to draw the match. Dortmund's defense was very weak in this match. And so they conceded two goals in just 24 minutes. If Dortmund's players performed carefully from the beginning of the match, they could have won this match and become the champions of this season.

You shouldn't blame Haller for missing the penalty. But I think it's more correct to judge the team as a whole. In the final match which was very decisive, the whole team should have understood what the target was. I think that the Dortmund players have instilled in them that the title is already in their hands, so they don't apply the tension of the match like a final. Behind 2-0 in the first half was clearly a heavy blow for Dortmund, they were completely unaware of the shortcomings that occurred so they were not aware of the real threat from Mainz. Dortmund players did not cooperate well in this match so they deserved a very painful punishment. It's a shame that Dortmund have to bow down and weep bitterly with their fans at Signal Iduna Park!

Years later, there was a possibility that a different champion would emerge in the league. I have always liked the quality of the leagues where the championship is determined in the last match. This year Dortmund and Bayern competed for the title. If there was a penalty goal in the match, we would be writing very different things. Not being able to win the match with a great support from his own field caused great sadness. I'm also sad that Reus didn't win the league title.

Football gives us many different emotions. This year too, Dortmund and Bayern gave us these feelings.

As much as we want to hate this guy over that missed opportunity, we have to ask ourselves if there is any player out there that has never missed a penalty..nobody! Even the players we consider as the greatest of all time such as  Pele, Messi, Cristiano etc have all missed their penalties because they have a 50-50 chance of being converted!

Besides this Dortmund did try their leave best to the the game 2 all, had Bayern to found a winning GOAL in the dying minutes of the game after Koln got an equalize it would have gone BVBs way.

That Dortmund was not able to win that game yesterday and therefore throwing away that huge huge chance to finally become Bundesliga champion again after so many years is extremely tragic for them in my opinion. I mean Bayern Munich was playing such a bad season in the Bundesliga for their standards. I doubt that this will happen again so quickly. Dortmund also had a lot of luck in quite a few matches that they have won even though they were the weaker team. So those two things came together at the same time and still Dortmund was not able to become Bundesliga champion. I doubt that Bayern will play such a bad season again next year.

It was quite a dramatic result for Dortmund. I think they were this close to the championship for the first time in many years. They missed the championship with only 1 goal difference. Bayern, which has been champions for years, managed to finish the season first. It must have been a very boring and sad day for Dortmund fans, it would be depressing to come this close and not be champion

Unbelievable what happend yesterday on the last matchday of the season and how close , crazy and strange the things went for some teams.
Disappointed a bit from game of Dortmund and as it was as so many times they dont have got the luck on there home game , at the same time
Bayern Munich got it and Musiala made them with his nice goal to the Champions.
Also a crazy game with Schalke and Leipzig , sad that they dont have made it and got relegated.

It was not surprising when finally seeing Dortmund fail to win the Bundesliga because previously they also had several opportunities to get away from Bayern Munich but instead, they also made mistakes. What made Dortmund hard in the last match was that they had to win because Bayern Munich would very likely win against Koln. A draw would not be enough for Dortmund to win because Bayern Munich has a surplus of goals compared to Dortmund.

Maybe many blamed the Dortmund players when they failed to execute the penalty properly, but weren't their defenders also making a mistake because 2 goals with an interval of only 9 minutes was also a mistake, the point is this is the team's fault. In the second half, they struggled to catch up, but when witnessed by Dortmund, they had time to reduce their attack when they found out that the Bayern Munich match had become 1-1 and not long after Bayern Munich's second goal, Dortmund's players again intensified their attack, unfortunately, this opportunity was wasted several times.

Congratulations to Bayern Munich for being able to determine the title in such a sweet way, and something like this is actually really fun for football fans because the intensity is not only on the field but also for the fans and of course the bettors, but it would be rare to see something like this any season.
