Let's just get our hopes realistic.
The new year could be good but we are not sure. Suppose we go back to 230 dollar. Then what?
For me I am focused on steady price increase.
Every new year we are optimistic that that year will be all about bitcoin. This time 2016 can be the year of bitcoin if many big companies will use/implement bitcoin as one of their payment method. Every year there always new company accepting bitcoin , and it's really help to bitcoin development. Bitcoin transaction increased every year but the price shown remain the same as past years because there is some big holders play with this I believe. Let's hope 2016 will be the real bitcoin year! |

A stable price would surely be good for bitcoin, but i think the price will go up or down a lot in 2016.

I know it has happened before, but a Bitcoin price of 1000 $ would probably mean that fiat money is somewhat in danger.
yes you are right,it already happen some years ago,but if you think fiat in danger,what exactly make fiat in danger? do you think bitcoin user more and more,and fiat adopter not interest again to fiat?or what? |

But with halving we can say, prices will go up. When we have up side momentum, then there will not be any chances for prices to go down. That's true, now the Price of Bitcoins is going up and will go to peak rate in 2016. All the lovers of Bitcoins should believe in halving which will benefit them sure in 2016.and the Bitcoins popularity will increase too. |

Bitcoin is growing rapidly in major countries. 2016 will be a good year for bitcoin for its rapid growth and price increase which will favour the sellers

price look exactly stuck like it was in january, but i smell that this time is different, we won't see a 10 months of bear trend
2016 is indeed promosing regarding the future value at least, i'm curious about how much the adoption will increase this year if anything

Whether or not do we see any price hike, but it is actually the year of Bitcoins as we are going to witness another halving and also going to see how it's going to work in the end, or I should say a new beginning for mining world...
All we should focus upon should be adoption...

I strongly believe that year 2016 will be very important and we will see significant positive things regarding Bitcoin.Bitcoin will touch new high popularity and acceptance level.There were many useless things last year which slowed the process but all is clear now.Bitcoin is going to change the financial game.

As most of the community members in this thread I also believe we will have a good year pricewise and in terms of network progress and development.
Sure there will be also some downs as well.But all in all I think the positive things will overweigh.

The fork issue is a distraction. It won't kill bitcoin. The majority will eventually choose what fork they want to use, whether it is the original, or XT, or some third option.
I see the fork issue as silly infighting which only hurts bitcoin. I want bitcoin to succeed, that's what I care about, not what version of BTC I use. I will go with the majority, whichever fork is chosen.
more people use and knows about bitcoin,more startup built,more ATM come,more corporation accept bitcoin,wallstreet consider about blockchain,and bitcoin halving. yes this year will be the year of bitcoin. |
