start the season in the best possible way for Rublev (20 years old)!
he is in the final against Kevin Anderson in Doha.
For him it is already best ranking (32th) even losing! If he wins it is 29th.
Considering that many top players are injured or in bad shape, Rublev can easily enter in the top 10 this year.

Anderson was in final of Pune against Simon. And he lost as well Cheesy

I've watched them both play mid last year and they were both playing good at that time.
How times have changed if they are losing now.
Are anybody a sure win now a days?
For bigger tournaments such as the Australian Open starting the next couple of weeks then we can start expecting those players to begin to step up their game.
Atleast I am hoping they will by that time it matters most.

No , they did take this tourney seriously its just that when both the men and women singles matches are won by the same team there is no point in playing mixed doubles seriously so that's the reason they just humor it up.

Autralian Open is great  opportunities for the player below 10 ranking because top players cannot join autralian open they should step thier game they hire good coaches to prepare them mentaly and emotionaly. Because the is opening tournament of the year it happen in down under.

I also get this impression quite often. The tournaments before a grand slam, many players see it as a practise to get match ritm but don't play 100%. You can also see this phenomenon in many other sports (such as snooker).

Exactly. That's why you shouldn't bet in large money on smaller tournaments. I prefer betting only on Grand slams and sometimes on Masters.

Kyrgios won in Brisbane! it's a good sign for him and I think he can make a great Australian Open.
I am convinced that 2018 may be his year and that he can finally show all his talent.
in addition to Kyrgios in 2018, Rublev and Shapovalov can also be affirmed at great levels.

I even think some of those pre grand slam games and off season games are pre arranged  for these gambling houses to profit because there too many upsets and since it's a single sport and not a team sport they can easily rehearse the results before the game is played for some unseen hands and sponsors to make indirect money.

If I bet a player to win Australian open it would be kyrgios aside from thier home grown player he is in his prime age .Ive never seen a young players skillful as kyrgios did , physically he really fit what kyrgios is his mental attitude towards the game .If he don't able to win championship this year may be his prime time is over. This the time for him shine because most top player are injured.

Yup this is a right time to shine in the tennis world and is he is also performing well giving his best to achieve a new milestone, I think he will not miss this opportunity as you told seniors are injured, and this is good news for him to show his talent. I also go with kyrgios.

True however I think Nick Kyrgios is starting to get it all together now as he showed at the Brisbane International. He is now starting to mature as a player and his mentally starting to get it right. That was a good win for him leading into the Australian Open and he could be one of the main dangers to Federer and Nadal who are the top 2 to beat just as long as Nadal is 100% fit.

Don't be fooled by Kyrgios - he won a ATP recently (Tokyo?) and everyone was saying the same things, then an open came around and the media were all over him and he fell into his old ways - The media chasing him and questioning his every move will be his undoing again but agree there is no time like now for him to push deep into the top 10

Yes I remember this as it was towards the end of last season where he won a tournament in Asia and then he lost it again. However this time around he has a coach on his side helping him so that could be the big difference with him moving forward. Yes I still think he will have his ups and downs but that is what makes it entertaining to watch. I know a lot of people don't like it but I do as for me its entertaining.

Sunday can't come any sooner for the Australian Open is upon us once again. Cool

I wish to get back what I lost last year during this tournament as I took that Rafael Nadal in the finals and lost quite a bit on him.

Roger Federer is the king of all these majors.
But the last time I bet on him to win a finals he lost.

So I do not know what is with my luck is with picking winners during the finals. Undecided

It really is tough when big players like Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer lose when you have quite a bid riding on them. It is tough luck, but I would advise you to keep your bets to reasonable levels and spread them out. From a gambling perspective, you can bet small amounts through out the tournament, rather than betting a lot on the finals.

Don't jinx him this time.  Grin

Roger Federer is one the greatest, but they can't win them all. Maybe you are just unlucky that you pick him in his worst days that's why he losses.

But yeah, its better to beat on the finals only. I also bet on during the finals but I constantly monitor the progress of every games so that I can make a good decision on who to bet to win and raise the trophy.
