Men's final is starting as I write this. Looking forward to seeing some world class tennis, I missed most of the matches on AO since it is played during my night and work hours but at least the final falls on Sunday morning so I can watch uninterrupted Bets are made, food is prepared, wife and kid are out shopping and now I just need Thiem to take at least one set to make my morning profitable or at least cover the loses from probable shopping spree.

Great match so far.
It seems to me that Djokovic is too nervous, but as the match goes on he calms down and plays better and at the moment everything is open.
OK it looks like the match will enter the fifth set and it seems to me that a small psychological advantage could be on Djokovic's side.

I am not really a fan of tennis but my wife is, so I am currently watching the australian open between Novak and Thiem.
Actually I know Novak was good and I saw how he played in the first set but before the game I was really thinking of betting on Thiem to win as the odds are really tempting, however I was not able to put my bet so I ended up just watching the game.

Now, I like some advise here, Thiem is currently 2.40 now, do you think this is worth?

He pulled himself out of a difficult situation, reversed the match and won.
Once again, Djokovic showed why he is the greatest tennis player of all time.

One of the best performance for Djokovic, we all think that he is already out, but he came through once again and denied Thiem. We always discussed that we wanted someone new to bring home the trophy for this year, but Djokovic just up holded the status quo of the big 3. It's a five setter indeed.

One thing about Thiem is that he is constantly improving as years goes by. For sure one day he will win a Grand Slam. Congrats to both of them.

Of the big 3, Novak is somewhat the youngest so probably he can stay a bit longer than Federer and Nadal and probably will go on to break Federer's GS record. Mental toughness is what really separates the elite tennis player to the young players we have right now. This is Thiem's 3rd attempt and failure to win a GS, but I'm sure he will be back hungry.

Like you and I have been saying in here for over a year now, Djokovic will most likely be the greatest grand slam winner in history as he is almost certain to now pass Nadal and Federer and we may not see another Man do this for a very long time. If Djokovic can do what he did last year then he will be just two off from Federer, I'm thinking that Nadal might equal Federer on 20 grand slam titles with the French Open as he is very hard to beat. Djokovic still at least has 3-5 years if he is able to stay fit and healthy. It was looking good for Thiem but again when he is in front of the match he isn't able to go on with it and win. We have also been saying this in here for the past two years about him, I just hope that one day he can get it right and win a grand slam. Congrats to Djokovic on once again winning the AO.

Thiem vs Nadal was a great match also, this young fella upset Nadal in the Quarter-Finals so it makes me think that he can compete with the elite and in fact he showed his heart out getting ahead in the match, but Novak was just too clever and too smart, he knows when to attack and get this win.

Djokovic is a great tennis player, He is the first tennis player that can win Grand Slam tittle in 3 different decade, and now He is in first rank replaced Nadal place.
What I saw on match is this is the first time (if I'm not mistaken)  Djokovic able to turn things around and win the match, I almost chose not to continue watching the match in third set because I saw the match which no longer interesting but really beyond the usual, sets 4 and 5 returned to a tight match between the two players.

Correct, I'm glad you mentioned it, I think Australian Open is one of the best tournaments that Djokovic really excel throughout his career. We have so many discussions in the last two years and still no one can break him in this tournament. So we know that he still has a lot of years ahead of him, compare to Nadal so breaking Federer's record is really within sight of him. Again, Thiem has the chance, but still not there to the levels of the big three as he melted again in the pressure of big events such as this. For sure Thiem will have this time raising the AO trophy in the coming years as he mature and have that experience under his belt.

I will certainly take alot to overcome the three tough guy but if we check closing the performance of the tennis players (Thiem, Zev etc) these days the day everything will change is approaching and i also believe most tennis fans also want a new face to be number 1 in the men side.
