What a great comeback by Alcaraz against compatriot Ramos-Vinolas. I thought it will be a breeze for him after winning the first set 6-1. But then Ramos-Vinolas, gets into the zone, and couple of Alcaraz missed drop shots, he was able to win the next two set. And then Alcaraz, save a match point in the fourth and win on the tie break. Then on the 5th, he was down 3-0 if I'm not mistaken with superb back hand pass and win the set 6-4.

Yeah, Alcaraz was really living dangerously for quite some time. Still - he managed to win and will be equally dangerous going forward. He has Korda next, then probably Corrie.

2 Croatians already got knocked out in the 2nd round (Čorić was especially disappointing once again - Dimitrov gave him 7 games in total) and our last representative Čilić is having a difficult game against Fucsovics today. I might even bet on Fucsovics, odds at around 3 look really tempting.

Yes, and if I'm not mistaken, the handicap is like -7.5 or higher for him. I didn't bet though, maybe later when I look at the odds and who is facing each other.

Same with Zverev, another come from behind win for him as well. It seems that he is tired on the 5th set and on the verge of losing. But he manages to survived and broke Baez.

Hopefully as he is still very young, his body can recover very fast after a hard fought 5 set match last night. So I think Alcaraz will still go and get past Korda here, but he doesn't want to have the same performance as the last time. If he can finished it in 3 set then good.

Odds ML, Alcaraz is 1.13 sa favorite.

I never thought he would have problems in this match, Ramos-Vinolas is a solid player but not a player who can seriously threaten the best out there. I was expecting a bit of wobble from Alcaraz since these are BO5 matches and he does not have much experience but I expected it against first dangerous player.

I am not betting on him for now. Just watching and waiting to see how he will look in next match.

Tsitsipas is also losing one set, and leading 2:1, Rublev won 3:1 against Delbonis, will be interesting to see who will reach final from this part

Medvedev won 3:0 against Djere, and showing best tennis so far, but Rublev and Tsitsipas should be favorites against him in eventual matches

Medvedev also made a nice against a really good player on clay Laslo Djere. I think the advantage of Medvedev was that Djere had a leg injury as far as i seen. Medvedev playing much better on clay then usual. How far can he go that is the real question

Tsitsipas though has to eventually make another huge comeback, Kolar can't convert a for set points in the fourth set to force a fifth and eventually Tsitsipas won the tie break.

Yeah, Medvedev is really playing very well in clay, Nadal and Djokovic will have their match later, and I don't expect anything funny going to happen against them.

Damn it Halep. You ruined everybodies parlays and bets due to an injury in the second set.
She was cruising and looking like a solid win but then that happened and screwed up her chances to win against the 74th seeded player:

Looks like she had a panic attack or something that physical therapy could not cure during the match as she didn't take a medical timeout.

line actually flatters him a bit. Funny about Sinner, he doesnt seem to be progressing
IMO, he is a really solid player but I actually cant see him winning a GS or beating the top
5 or 6 or even getting further up the rankings ATM.

There have been a few upsets but currently all the usual suapects are progressing through
the rounds, Djokovic, Medvedev, Zverev, Tsitsipas, Nadal and Alcaraz.

Nadal might have a tough day in the office against van de Zandschulp and Alcaraz the same

you are probably right I share your point of view about Sinner.
Probably he is lacking maturity and experience, but he has all the credentials to "explode" and play at very high levels even against a top 5.

Yesterday against Baena he dominated the match, apart from a point break in the 4th set, for the rest he seemed to always be in control of the match.

That is great draw for Čilić, especially on clay. Simon is quite bad on clay and it is least favourite surface for Medvedev. This is a nice opportunity for him to get far.

Dimitrov is out, in 3 quite easy sets. Did not see this one coming since he was quite good on clay this season. Loosing only to Tsitsipas.

Really unexpected loss from John Isner today maybe he was just tired but he cannot lose to such weak ranked players at this high level tournament. Also Norrie playing really bad and is close to getting knocked out. Djokovic and Nadal just destroying their opponents 1 by 1

It seems that nadal and djokovic are both in a high level and i don't think anyone can stop them even alcaraz if they managed to get through their opponents on the 1/8 finals which i think they would they will face each other and in my opinion it will be a war and it will be the closest game in Roland Garos between them.

Yeah, but it will be good if Alcaraz will have to face either one of them in the quarter-finals because that will be a great match.

Norrie is out though, losing in 4 sets against Khachanov.

No problem with the 3 in today's matches, they've won in straight sets. While in the women's side, upsets continue as there are a lot of seeded ladies that have been eliminated.
