buying bitcoin and holding it is the safest possible bitcoin related investment. the only risk is the price that may go down. but if you hold it for the long term then it is a solid investment.
It is not a bad thing to invest in Bitcoin today but of you are serious about making money with Bitcoin you should buy more then one Bitcoin. I am sure that if you buy only one now that you will regret it. Investing is nice if you are for sure that you can earn money with it and Bitcoin is a currency so you never know what will happen with the value in the future. But it is not that worst if the value is low you have just to take the right moment when you are going to sell it. And it can takes indeed a long time until the value will be more worth but just wait and have the patience for it. Yes if you want to earn huge profit then I think you need to wait longer and your patience will be surely tasted, so don't expect that bitcoin price will reach to the moon overnight. in addition to having to wait a long time, you also have to hold a big amount, so that the profits really feels. but I think to get huge profit you do not have to hold, you can try trading altcoins. usually there is a coin that could rise up to 500% in one day. Yeah you need to keep on trying to grow your coins at a moment, as only buying and not doing anything with it will not give you that extra profits that you are looking for. |

The most important thing in Bitcoin is that you have to sell it on the right moment and sometimes it can takes a long time but sometimes it will happen soon you never know.
But making an investment is not that bad but you have to buy low so the chance is higher that you can make more profit with it.

If you will just invest 1 btc and your plan is long term investment. Then you will only earn not that much after a long time because you have only 1 btc in volume. Much better if you will invest more btc for a long term investment. Buy more and hold more and after your set years you will get a lot of profit on it. |

It will be happen within 3 months time so yes investing it first on short term investments with small interests is not so bad at all. |

i think it's best to buy 1 btc right now because of the halving process
or better yet try buying 2 btc
I think any time when you're ready with the risks that exist and are already doing a good calculation of the trade then you can make a purchase. depending on the time of purchase of reckoning. If you think buying today is good then you should be prepared with contingencies |

Buying with current price can be best decision of your life, price has started to rise slowly but still I feel that we can buy at this price as halving will take the price to a higher level. |

I think opinions of other members above this post is right. That is not enough for a bitcoin just to have a good long investment. Good long investment is a very good plan, but not enough for it to call long investment if you will just invest 1 btc. There should be a long term plan and also better if you increase your 1 bitcoin. |
