OP, it was around $240 in Oct 2015. If you bought and kept bitcoins, congrats.  I wonder if he really bought 1, even if he bought that would still not effect him that much because that was only 1 BTC, maybe let us congratulate him when the price turns $10,000. IF he bought at the price of $400 last year then it is a great move and already profitable of 250 bucks. So it still effect him atleast. in fact all the time is the right time to buy bitcoin, it's just a matter of trust. if you believe that the price of bitcoin will rise, then this could be the right time, because maybe next month bitcoin prices will rise to $ 900 Price has gone down today so I think this is the best time to buy some bitcoin as as price will go higher once we get close to halving and make profits by selling at that stage. Thats what I think too, I think its the right time to buy again even it just down for atleast $20 it is still profitable. |

It should be not smart if you are making an investment today and that is because the value of Bitcoin is becoming higher soon and you can already see it rising so that is really nice.
But you have to know what Bitcoin will always change so it will be hard to know what is going to happen later in the future.

How safe is it?

How safe is it?
The price has been increased past few days so i think that it's not a good time to buy. But you say to invest for long term, i don't think that you can make a good profit only by a single bitcoin. It is safe as much as you care about, store offline and don't leave in exchange. If you have the money I think that it is not a bad thing to buy one Bitcoin because at the moment the price is rising. So if you buy now you can say that you could make a profit tomorrow. this time the price is falling, so I think it's better to buy 1 BTC today, because all confident when approaching halving the price will rise again |

Remember to go for long term instead of short term profits though.
Exactly this. Some time from now Bitcoin might even drop a bit but in the long term you'll be at profit anyway. Don't make the mistake which many have made when they where selling their coins seeing Bitcoin is dropping. If they would wait several months they would be at profit now. |

I think buying 1 BTC isn't going to take that much out of your savings anyway, and the potential that bitcoin offers is just too good to be resisting right now. So yes, I would personally do it.

Yes Its good to invest into the bitcoin for a long term because the bitcoin is constantly growing due to this buying is good and holding is even better.

That's true but if you are expecting to earn good profit from only 1 btc then you need to wait really long time, as price is not too high now, and to earn more you should hold more number of coins. |

That's true but if you are expecting to earn good profit from only 1 btc then you need to wait really long time, as price is not too high now, and to earn more you should hold more number of coins. I think if he cannot manage for more coins then only that one bitcoin is also enough for him as the price of bitcoin is already doubled in about a period of 4 months and it will continue to increase more especially in the halving when it will boost up and after that till the end also. so he will get multiple X of his coin. |

Yeah if you can afford to hold it for next 15 to 20 years then I think its good to buy 1 btc today as we never know what will be the price of bitcoin at that time. |

Yeah if you can afford to hold it for next 15 to 20 years then I think its good to buy 1 btc today as we never know what will be the price of bitcoin at that time. It can be very good but you also not have to hold it too long otherwise you will most likely lose profit on a long run, I think the max you should hold is about 15 years at its very max.. |

I tihnk you better sell it this coming halving and dont wait for another halving to come, it is better to secure your profit than waiting another event and gamble the chance. Better grab it now and buy when event hype is done, cause if this hype is already stop then the bitcoin will become stable and thats the time you buy and wiat for another halving event. |

I tihnk you better sell it this coming halving and dont wait for another halving to come, it is better to secure your profit than waiting another event and gamble the chance. Better grab it now and buy when event hype is done, cause if this hype is already stop then the bitcoin will become stable and thats the time you buy and wiat for another halving event. you gotta make decision based on how things shape up to be like in the future, you can't tell what will happen. for example there is nothing saying price will ever go down again. so selling after the halving may result in missing out on the future rises to for instance $2500 |
Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

People buy gold everyday, I don't, maybe because I don't feel it's a safe investment, but I do buy Bitcoins and I think it's safe.

People buy gold everyday, I don't, maybe because I don't feel it's a safe investment, but I do buy Bitcoins and I think it's safe.
I guess somewhat saving or holding your money just in your bitcoin wallet address. Is the only safest way of investing together with your time. And many investors have proved that long term investment is really a good way to invest your money and 1 btc is not enough if you really want to earn a big amount in the right time. |
