Update: Dan (the UI dev) suddenly showed up again, I am guessing the mails did the trick, he claims he'll have it done by tomorrow night his time (EST). We'll see. I have 3 back-ups at this point, so no matter what it'll come soon.

Other good news: we're working on oracling which will allow IOTA to utilize smart contract platforms like Ethereum and Rootstock (a more comprehensive and exciting update about this will come soon).

There's also some rather big potential collaborations being established with companies that want to try out IOTA, but as usual I will not leak any information until it's guaranteed.

To every IOTA member: keep working on Proof of Concepts, finding companies that might be interested and looking for meet-ups/events in your area. Also join our forum at http://forum.iotatoken.com where we'll shortly move over to permanently and leave BTT to the speculators.

Great! Thank you very much for update.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Dan responded to my email

Just as David says, he promised that this is all he is working on and it will be done soon.

Here's a few snippets

...From all accounts this is a brilliant idea and David is a very bright, determined, ambitious individual....

... I'm focused solely on finishing this work for IOTA, so hang in there and hopefully you'll be pleased with the work if not the timeliness of same....

We will see soon enough.

This guy must be off the charts good, to make it this far with zero customer service skills.

Wow, sounds good David, very impressive! What a momentum. Many thanks for this, you're a hard working guy.

Will stop selling IOTA out of my stake this evening, because I expect higher prices.
Will continue today because of spreading IOTA to other accounts will help in the long term.

@CfB: How many people didn't claim their iota yet? What do you plan to do with the remaining iotas at the end of the claiming period?

Great news!

Will we be able to see a preview of it at that point or will we have to wait until it's fully implemented?
I'm really curious about how it looks.

~30 for ~12M. Ask iotatoken regarding the plans.

Slock.it looks to be IOTA's immediate contender:

Downside for them: No Tangle chain   Grin

I do not think its a contender since they are about the lock software and their physical productthey might be able to use iota instead of eth though.

Apologies for getting drunk and freaking out.
Despite the validity of my concern that's no way to behave and I am sorry.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the GUI guy has good news…

Thanks. Nice to know there's backup plans. Lets hope they wont be required.

Respect. Good that I can take you off of ignore now.  Grin

A friend told me last night CfB was implementing SC's* on IOTA and that it was the "news of the day". Ive heard about this plan before but cannot find a post to confirm this.

Is it true?

And if it is true will IOTA SC's be able to "talk" to Ethereum SC's?
