The beta UI client is supposed to launch this weekend, so I'd imagine there won't be any exchange listing until a while after that is proven stable. https://www.tangle.ninja/iota/crowdsale

Ok. Only a few days until beta.
I am willing to sell a portion of my Iota for .00001. (I believe this is well below current market rate for Iota being sold on Nxt Asset Exchange). I am willing to sell up to 5 million Iota worth. Escrow only.
PM me if interested. Only taking orders until Saturday morning. Price not valid once beta releases.
Cheers.

Are there estimates when we can trade this coin for btc / when the coin is in a state that it could be added by an exchange ?
I was also trying to find some data on the price-development , is it on coinmarketcap or any similliar site ?
Is iota the asset jinn on nxt asset exchange and if it is how many jinn shares are one iota ?

JINN assets could be traded for IOTA during the crowdsale, however JINN assets are not tradable for IOTA now you can find more informationa about that that in the IOTA crodsale thread here on bitcointalk or on https://www.tangle.ninja/iota/crowdsalethere is a guy that created a currency on the monetary system of NXT, called KIOTA if i remember correctly, basically he is just trading his IOTA bought during the crowdsale in exchange for NXT, but i cant say anything as to how trustworthy he is, so yeah....due diligence and all, you know the crypto space. last price for KIOTA was 350 NXT for 1000 IOTA, that would evaluate IOTA at a marketcap of 349999999 NXT or 7756 BTC or 2,792,159 USD Concerning your first question I cant give a clear answer to this, beta is sheduled for this weekend tough, we will see what happens after that. Hope this helps

Hey, guys and gals. I'd like to get your feedback on the following:In it's current implementation Iota's ledger is based on inputs and outputs like Bitcoin. There is another way - balances of accounts like in Nxt and Ethereum. Now I see that if Iota used the latter it would be more efficient because: 1. No need to send the change back to myself which makes the tangle smaller 2. A lot of dust inputs could be spent with a single payment and this would be more secure because every address reuse leaks the private key 3. A new address wouldn't be needed for every incoming payment (this would make acceptance of Iota donations simple, in the current design it's PITA for humans) 4. Off-tangle payments would become simpler 5. RAM requirement for full nodes would be relaxed The only problem that might arise in balance-based Iota is worse consensus convergence, but after analyzing the issue I don't see what could break. I'm thinking if it's worth to do a little redesign that could take few days of extra work...

CFB, why do you ask people to allow you to do better things than they are already?

Can you explain the potential problem. What do you mean by worse consensus convergence, in this case?
|
A Personal Quote on BTT from 2011: "I'd be willing to make a moderate "investment" if the value of the BTC went below $2.00. Otherwise I'll just have to live with my 5 BTC and be happy. :/" ...sigh. If only I knew.

CFB, why do you ask people to allow you to do better things than they are already? I suppose CfB is asking because this will make dates shift a little bit... In general, I believe the benefits of proposed redesign considerably outweigh the impact of few days delay, so its definitely is worth to do (of course if this is really turn out to take just several days, not weeks)
