I pledge 1000 IOTA (payable after launch) for a short description understandable for the average bitcoiner of

1) how and why consensus in IOTA works
2) how and why it solves scalability
3) why zero fees are possible

We could post this on reddit etc.

Feel free to add IOTA to the pledge, if you think this is important.
add another 1000 IOTA  Wink

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I add 100 Iota. I invested a small amount in the crowdsale because I didn't understand how it works and I still don't.

Everyone should add at least a small amount to this.

I'm pledging 250 Iota

Also, what makes it quantum resistant, and how that works. I feel this should be written in a way that is easy to understand.

Maybe someone can come up with a simple analogy that helps to explain how Tangle works?

Maybe add none of these things, just things we can think about.

Great effort. I would pledge more, but Im no whale, and want to support other efforts as well.

Yes, this is important. We should also make this visual ("a picture is worth a thousand words").
I pledge 999 IOTA for funding the infographic.

Really great ideas. Visual easy to understand presentation of the Iota whitepaper would be good. This would include how the dag and tangle work, I still don't understand them  Embarrassed.
I can give 250 iota for the bounty pool to make this happen. I could give more but I'm a small fish not a whale and I only invested about 50% of what I intended to invest in Iota in the ico(I invested the other 50% to another altcoin which didn't deliver their promised platform so it died off and I lost my invesment, so I'm basically all in on Iota currently).

We will need a little time, may be 1 week after beta and before putting iota on exchange so everyone who bought iotas on OTC will receive it into their wallets and we will not end up in situation in which iota will hit 100 mil marketcap and sellers will reject to send coins to buyers in order to sell it at much higher price at exchange and do refunds to OTC buyers.

Nothing prevents those who arranged a deal to refuse to sell if price on exchanges will be higher. Escrow agents will just return BTC.

Anyway the current deals are profitable to sellers only. They are in the position of a gambler who can cancel the bet if he loses.

Some are BTT newbies, they don't care about their reputation here. Some, perhaps, use bought BTT accounts.

That's why I proposed a little time gap between wallet release and adding IOTA to exchanges. Sellers will send coins to OTC buyers, only then to put IOTA on exchange.

But thats only my proposals, I see a possible problem and offering a possible solution.
