A game dominated by the Lakers. The next game is in 48 hours but if they can't find something this will be a very fast series it can ends in 1 week for what we saw yesterday.
Lakers opened at -5.5, now the line is -9.5, that simple means Heat has a little chance to win in game 2. People are betting on the Lakers now since Adebayo and Dragic are listed doubtful to play in game 2, without these two, Heat is not the same team. Also, King James is not happy with his point of view they can even do better. That's a real leader, he want to perfectly execute their game plan, even if they are ahead.

"Doc Rivers has been named the Sixers next head coach."https://twitter.com/BleacherReport/status/1311783160330371072Wow that was fast, just a few days after he was fired from LA Clippers, he gets to sign a 5-year deal with 76ers. I thought Philly were high on Mike D'Antoni and actually very close to to signing with him. Interesting to see what Doc can do with Simmons, Embiid and the rest of the roster that they have now, T.Harris played very well under Rivers while he was with the Clippers. How do you like the move from the Sixers?

Doc has a good track record and being an great point guard, won't be surprised if Ben simmons has his best season yet. If that kid could just shoot an outside shot he'd be unstoppable, right now you almost don't guard him to bait him to shoot. Sixwrs ain't going anywhere unless he can hit a shot

Doesn't surprised me at all, we all know that Rivers have the championships already and he really did try to bring the best on LA Clippers but the players didn't respond on his system. Yes, it will be interesting to see how can he manage Simmons and Joel, but as I have pointed out, he has coach a lot of superstars throughout his NBA coaching years, some click and some didn't. So we can only hope that he will change the complexion of the Sixers franchise. So it's really doesn't look good on Miami now, with doubtful starters, it will be a difficult task for Coach Spo to match with the Lakers high octane offense. Maybe we can see another lopsided and as dominant as Game 1 victory for the Lakers here.

I thought that rookie starters will going to make a good basket with lakers but I doubt they still get intimidated with the superior team Lakers. It does not really look good if they can't make any adjustments specially with the key players against the lakers like AD, Lebron and Rondo. However, I am not really like Miami for now because of their players like Iguodala where he has been good to Golden States but to Miami he does not even make a good score. Miami is really at disadvantage on this for other key players are injured. It is too early to make Lakers to win in this championship but it sounds like they will going to take the champion this season. Anyway, the ball is still round and who knows we might get surprised by the coach on how he will bring his players to adjustments and make a play that can win a game from lakers.

A coach that has a high caliber in the league and probably blamed by his ex-team for the lose of this season could land him a better job in 76ers. More changes in coaching or roster changes for sure after this finals.

I think he accepted a new job too soon. I don't know if the break he gets until the start of next season is enough for him to rest before working on a new team. We'll probably see a shake out on the Sixers roster after their disappointing performance at the playoffs. Simmons could be traded. He should have been given one more year to work with Leonard, George and the rest of the team. It's still a new team but losing the SF after leading 3-1 is probably what caused the owner to axe him. That was the second time in his career as Clippers head coach if I am not mistaken.

Also, King James is not happy with his point of view they can even do better.
They are in the NBA Finals already and they are in a mission to get a championship. What LeBron is expecting to his teammates is perfection and in the game, he isn't satisfied with their performance. Although they win, it just shows that there is no time to be complacent. Heart of a leader and he is just focus on their goal. How do you like the move from the Sixers?
There is no option that fits Doc Rivers but Philly only so maybe this is a good move but its too early to say at least. I'm now curious who will be the Coach of Clippers and who will build the chemistry of their team.

That's just the mentality of a champion, they are only up 1-0 so there's need to be complacent, and on the contrary they should start where they left off in Game 1, play good and take every opportunity presented to score and separate themselves. Having a good lead early, then maintain the intensity throughout the game. And this speaks of James experience as well, he has been in so many Finals appearance that he knows that the job is not finished in just one game. Maybe Assistant coach Tyron Lue or Sam Cassell can fill the void left by Doc Rivers in Clippers.

He will bring these two with him? I doubt that would be possible, others will also lose their job. For me, what's important is the Head coach as he is the captain of the ship, without a good coach, even how good your players, the team will not succeed. It's too early, Doc is lucky to have a job after he got fired with the Clippers, so it's still an experiment because Sixers are really a good team but they have a huge problem comes playoffs time.

Speaking of coaches being hired. Do you guys remember the press interview of Commissioner Adam Silver before the Lakers vs Heat Game 1? They are fighting white supremacism and this includes coaches that are being hired.
Recently, Steve Nash being hired to coach Brooklyn Nets became a controversy. Now, there are only 4 black coaches in the league. Minus Coach Doc Rivers. Yeah, team owners and managers cannot be controlled by the commissioner but I think he still has a say to this issue.
Who's left?
Dwane Casey - Pistons J. B. Bickerstaff - Cavs Lloyd Pierce - Hawks Monty Williams - Suns
No disrespect to Steve Nash, but there are still good black coaches on the line and yet they hire those without experience.

Not Steve Nash fault though, that's the decision of the management, they want to try Steve Nash so be it. I don't want to take about racism in coaching job as it's hard to comment or conclude regarding that issue, hopefully this would not be brought out, besides coaches hired can be coaches fired if they will not meet the expectation of the management.

I don't know but Miami Heat seemed to be overwhelmed at that game. It is just the first game of the series and it seems that Miami Heat seemed to be overwhelmed on how the LA Lakers performed. Does this show how great Lakers is? I want to see the Miami Heat that dominated the best team in the regular season, I want to see the Miami that took down Boston Celtics, I see that they playing well but it seems it might end at game 5.

Coz why not? I don't see anything wrong of picking Steve Nash. And on the other note, even though he got no experience with coaching that's okay because he's already considered a veteran in playing. That could be his edge in his new career. Thus, I do believe that the management did a wise choice on picking him. He will be a good coach because he doesn't only understand the technicalities of the game but also all the drama inside the hard court since it takes part of his life for quite a long time .

I do even see that they would really be sweep out basing on the result of game 1.This isnt right to talk about "seemed overwhelmed" yet they do really get overwhelmed on that game. They have a good lead on early quarter but they cant sustain to make it on the end.Lakers center players are just too tanky and Heat cant really handle it out even when there's a clutch drive on the basket. They cant handle Lebron and can easily penetrate or even AD.They need to have some comeback in second game at least but we do know the current condition about those injured players will be likely not to join on the next game. Bench players should really do their best on game 2 if ever the main ones cant able to play.

Right now, all eyes are on the Lakers and fans are thinking that Lakers are too much for them as they got dominated in game 1, they have to answer in game 2 so they'll gain that respect.

I see that point too! Even he's a rookie in terms of this new field but he's in hand experienced playing the game gave him the capabilities to understand how he can contribute to the team that he's going to handle. Remember how coach Kerr become successful sharing he's talent with players who have the same types of his game, I'm interested how he'll be able to coach Kyrie and KD both are offensive but if Nash able to turned both stars to pass out and rotates the ball, that's really an interesting factors.

Game 1 of NBA Finals sees lowest viewership in recorded ratings HistoryA trend of low ratings throughout the NBA postseason has now reached the NBA Finals. And hit it hard.
Game 1 of the Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat brought in only 7.41 million viewers to ABC, according to The Hollywood Reporter. That is reportedly the lowest viewership seen for the Finals since at least 1994, when total viewers began to be regularly recorded.
The number is down 45 percent from last year’s Game 1 between the Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors, which had 13.51 million viewers. This is the fourth straight year Game 1 viewership has gone down compared to the previous season.
The previous low for the Finals was reportedly 8.06 million in Game 3 of the 2007 NBA Finals. That was the third game of a sweep by the San Antonio Spurs of the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James’ first Finals appearance. NBA will surely do something here, game 1 was a boring game but in game 2, I expect it a close game to give the fans some thrill they didn't see in game 1.
