GREAT NEWS!
~
I am just curious, who is the leader of the Celtics team?
If we will just base on the performance of the team, it is Tatum who acts as the leader of the team (I think). Maybe for some, it is Walker or Brown.

I would say that Kemba Walker, he replace their previous leader Irving. And we could say that it was a good trade.

I don't think that he will contribute that much in Game 2 especially that he suffered from an injury and this is his first game since it happened but lets see how he will contribute. With him in the court, healthy and can contribute well I think that the Heat will have a hard time beating the Celtics right now because both of them are evenly matched and we saw it on Game 1 where it also went to Overtime Cheesy. Heat in 6-7 games still for me Smiley

The game 1 was a winnable for Boston, it's just the breaks of the game. I think it's better for Hayward to continue resting though, and I doubt that he can contribute that much coming from an injury. On the contrary, it may disrupt's Celtics's chemistry and movement as they need to adjust again.

So much for the Clippers choking though, it gives me a good laugh seeing meme's on Twitter.  Grin

Irving never reach in the ECF, Celtics did reach during his time with them but he was injured during that time, so Walker is a good fit if they will again play in the ECF but they need to beat the Miami Heat which is a red hot team in the East now.

With their win last game, they still only have 1 lose in this entire playoffs so far.

Give the credit to the Miami Heat, though that was a close game but a win is a win, if Celtics would like to tie the series and redeem themselves, they need to win game 2 tomorrow, and as a fan, I'm gonna wake up early to watch the game live.

Meanwhile, we can also look at some bad personal relation between Doc and PG, we know their history that PG has cheated on Doc's daughter which is now the wife of Seth Curry, so I think this is also one factor to consider, and maybe you guys will say, "hey! they are professionals"... well, maybe but things like this is hard to forget that's why I'm seeing that the chemistry of Denver is what beats the LA Clippers.

Chemistry is such a badass. It works every game even in down moments.
The Nuggets proved it. It's not just chemistry with players but also with their coach.
They can make jokes with Coach Malone and even spill water during an interview.  Grin
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fbfovqz035k

They are stronger now after waiting for 2 years. Nuggets management is good at preserving their players which made them better.
Stephen A says Kawhi "flat-out choked".  Grin
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9Crefx3FHg

Fun Fact: Nuggets made an NBA history. 1st team to recover in a 3-1 deficit, twice in one post season.

Thanks for acknowledging the HEATS are 🔥🔥🔥🔥now.

Kyrie is a nice player, he's only lagging in performance due injuries, he's also a goto player for em Celtic, I'm anticipating his return to the league!

I doubt that some 22 year old could be the leader of any team. I understand that they could be star but leader and star are very different stuff, sometimes the player who is not the best player could be the leader of a team. Just to give an example Tim Duncan was the leader of Spurs even on his last year but to be perfectly honest he wasn't anywhere near where he used to be and didn't really possessed any threat, yet he was the leader.

Sometimes you just gotta take the characteristic of leadership instead of actually stardom, however usually they are similar people. I feel like the real leader there must be Kemba Walker, I know he has been there for just one season but honestly he has that type of reputation and I believe him to be that good in a leadership role if you ask me.

That is why most of leaders are also the star of the team.

But I don't think that they'll be able to do the same thing against Lakers.
Urgh! It's really frustrating to be honest. I thought Clippers will advance and able to see a Beverly vs James drama again. *sigh But props to Denver. They really did a great job. Coming back from a 1-3 once maybe considered lucky, but doing the same thing again was already beyond that. No luck, just pure hustle. Let us see if they can beat the All Star Team Grin.

But actually, I'm not doubting them anymore. They prove to us that they had the heart of a champion. They surely have the chance to beat Lakers and advance to The Finals.
Don't be frustrated, everybody was surprised with it as if it just happened that nobody was expecting. I don't think that's luck that they have but it's them that were being underrated and here goes the next barrier that they need to surpass - The Lakers.

They may have the heart of a champion but all of the teams have the same feeling and no one wants to be beaten by any team. As I'm saying, all of them are aiming for the championships but every season is different and the expectation of many, it's going to be with Lakers.

Im even surprised on the series.I didnt expect that Denver would able to pull that game 5- game 7 game.I already concluded that LAC will close it on game 5 when its already on 3-1 run.
Everybody had already surely presume out that LAC will be on that last spot for West conf. finals but Denver did really make some shocking run.Well, this is a game and just like a ball
where its round and anything can really happen.Even the least favorite team will always have the chance to cling up to the ladder that goes to the finals but i doubt  that they would
able pull that one easily specially they would really be dealing with Lakers this time.

Majority of us didn't really expected them to win but they just did and, everyone's telling that it's going to be both Los Angeles' teams that will be getting a face off soon.

This is now the time for Denver Nuggets to be noticed and get loads of fans from those people that never expected them to play like that. They really just broke most people's thought.

Lot of  bettors lose money with the lose of the Clippers in the series and some for sure even bet on them winning the NBA finals.
That was really surprising but we have to move on, there's still  one LA, they need support.  Grin

Denver has been a good team, their chemistry is pretty awesome but people don't believe that they are a championship team.

That's something they have to prove.

Well, they are still halfway there to get that ring there's still WCF and Finals. To be honest, I guess LeBron and the squad will be the one to dominate on WCF and what I am rooting for the Finals to go head to head is with his past team Miami. They'll be battling once again with Igoudala when that happens.

Wow, big HEAT fan here.

If Heat will still win in game 2 then I think they will be the one who are going to advance in the NBA finals, that's based on the stats I read according to my research. You can read this one - https://www.oddsshark.com/nba/nba-teams-down-0-2-playoff-series-have-brutal-history..

Quote
NBA Teams Down 2-0 in Seven-Game Playoff Series Have a Brutal History

In the list, there are only few teams what were able to come back.
I'm usually a Warriors fan and will be even though they got eliminated that early this season. I will not follow the bandwagons out there who will just go to a team that is for them strong.

Not a big fan on the Heat though but aside from the Lakers, they are my 2nd bet for winning a championship. No need to explain you can just say it on their performance in the bubble, their current roster and their veteran coach.

I saw that link and only 20 teams out of 282 won the series with down 0-2 in the first 2 games. Maybe we can say that the Celtics have a 7% chance of winning if they lose again in Game 2 Cheesy. The Celtics are currently in the lead right now but double digits as I started to watch (15 pts to be exact) and I hope that what happened in Game 1 will not happen again in Game 2 (have a huge lead but got lost still).

Now it 2-0 mia leads the series. Basing on your posts that only few team wins against 2-0 game in the series then higher chances it will miami to play in the championship game between lakers or nuggets whoever wins in their conference final.

If it will be lakers vs. miami then that would also be mean lebron vs. miami coach erik spoelstra. How does it feel to coach a team against a former player to a different team. Anyway, this is all about professionalism and sports game. Miami for sure will have great difficulty in winning against lakers that has strong players that include James Lebron.

@NBA experts in this thread, do you think that Miami can beat Lebron and Anthony Davies' Lakers in a best of 7 series? I was not convinced, however I am slowly being convinced after the Heat beat Celtics from being the losng team in game 2 hehe.

Good thing with him that he will  let his teammates feels that he trust everyone that's how
he received the merits.

Kemba  in the other hands needs to step up and bring the challenged let his shoulders, he
needs to lead this team mentally, as most of this young guns have the star quality but needs
being guided,.

@NBA experts in this thread, do you think that Miami can beat Lebron and Anthony Davies' Lakers in a best of 7 series? I was not convinced, however I am slowly being convinced after the Heat beat Celtics from being the losng team in game 2 hehe.

I am not an expert but I think they can't.

LAL offensive and defensive is also great and these two are working so well not just as a duo but also as a team. A lot of plays can be seen in their past games adjusting to the teams they are playing. Lebron could make points by forcing his way through, he also create plays like Rondo feeding it to other teammates or usually AD. There's Kuzma, KCP, etc, well LAL is full of players where they could circulate the play and I think as long as these players could make their shots, they could rally points and threes with Miami.

It's really fun watching this Miami Heat team. I'm sure they are also having fun with their journey to the NBA Finals too. Aside from Iguodala, there's no other player with a ring in their squad correct?

Is Celtics still tired from their semi-final battle with the Raps? Adebayo had a lot of easy points inside the paint due to their poor defense.

Lakers has various of key players to make a good team plays, Lebron that could drive offensively even having two defenders and can pass to other players where they can score. Rondo, one of the best passing players, a smart player and able to score in perimeter area or inside the ring (very unpredictable). Then Anthony Davis with his height rebound is not a problem with other tall players Lebron and howard then they can dominate the inside area. Davis can even make a perimeter shots efficiently or drive inside the rigng. Other players also knows what plays they will do especially in the 3 point area shooting lane. Lakers is really a strong team which coach design even before like kobe and oneal tandem. They used tall players like oneal for inside rebound and players that can shoot outside or in the perimeter like Kobe. Their offense are usually inside and outside. They had a lot of options to score offensively.

yeah, seems that Miami is enjoying their play-off time, and could kick-out Boston in the finals, but i do not think that there is even a possibility to win over Lakers in the final, if Denver reach finals, that one could be one of the most interesting finals in the decade for NBA, both teams were very far from thinking about the ring before pandemic and they will fight till the last atom of strength

Miami is really shocking everyone right now. I understand that right now they look like a team that can beat anyone and I realize that we underestimated them a lot at the start of the season however even after each win I still think eventually they will start to play like miami that we expected and not the miami that has been playing so well for a while now. I knew that they were good but in the bubble they turned into a whole new level of team. By the looks of it there is really nothing that can stop them from going all the way to finals, only 2 wins left and that really looks like quite possible. Celtics were good too, I am not blaming them with anything, Miami and their defense was just too good, specially that zone defense Miami played was seriously revolutionary.
