i can easily name 10-15 or even 20 players who deserve a contract like that more than him
and nowadays because of all social media, tmz, etc. we (general public) also know if something bad happens off the court.

The media makes alot of hype for certain player and that makes them overrated although that they have only a decent performance. This is one way of getting popularity and get yourself a great contract otherwise you wont really get it just by playing great on the court everytime ( wait , you can be good on the court ALL the time though )

You are especially social media in which people or then fans of that certain player show some of its highlights it allows the palywr to become more popular and gain fans which i think leads the management to see and know it. The tendency then is that dince they saw how good the player is because of the highlights the will get it
Player highlights alone can't get you too far if that is the only thing you can show for. The management isn't that stupid too rely on just video clips and signing a player because he is hyped by social media. That assumption is rather flawed since we all know that the best players are those who work the hardest and make their game speak for it.

Well i haven't said that  players highlight alone can get you too far, i have only said that it would be a great boost for them as they become more popular and when management means business having a lots of fans will surely be considered. We cant deny the fact that everything also comes to business, no matter how good you are but when you were left behind of the competition you surely eithier get a slot
NBA is an entertainment so they would value more on the entertainment than the real competition, some games are intentionally rigged in order for the fans to witness a close games and that would make them feel the thrill and will get the worth of their money, that is NBA and player with so much publicity will be more popular and will help the NBA to stay profitable.

What can you expect for? Im sure they would invest on very known player because no one would provably love to see a player whos fame is questionable thats why they will go to players who have more reputation since it cam give more money to them, but i dont think the game time was payed but the players itself because they can give competitive win's on those basket and any of those stronger team can give 0-4 records as i've seen in nba.

That is NBA where amazing happens as they say, everything is all about the profit even at the Jordan era. They are promoting players for the NBA to be well known in every part of the world. Base on my analysis, after Jordan era, it was Kobe Bryant and now it is the time of Lebron James, so I would tell you fellas don't bet against the king.

Well i cant argue with you dude. Lebron really is too good but i dont think that is to be considered as the new king and this is his era. Well sorry because i am a curry fan so i must go with him thru thick and thin. Come on guys NBA is a business model type. Not all you  saw was all true. Just my perspective tho

Is Draymond a true power-forward or Small-forward like Lebron? How would you classify Draymond based on what weve seen of him so far?
The thing about Bron is he can LEGIT play and defend PG, SG, SF, and PF. And at certain points center. Dray can defend damn near any position like Bron, BUT his offensive versatility is best suited as a PF\SF. When combining numbers as well as positions that can be played and defended, Bron is the most versatile player of all time.

i agree with you regarding of being versatile lebron can take almost or all the position as he can do better at is, it will be hard for us see another player that can deliver both ends, player that can shoot and protect well.

BUT among big men (PF and C), KG is the most versatile of all time. As versatile as Draymond is, KG was putting up 24 points, 6 dimes, and 14 boards a night. He could play a point forward role similar to Draymond. And EVEN defend swingmen to centers on defense. Plus KG did it at 7 ft!

Get your money down on Westbrook for MVP Imho.

Many reasons think this is a smart bet
1. No Durant so westbrook gets all the shots he wants

2. Contract year so he wants to ball in order to get a big deal.

3. He is pissed about Durant leaving and wants to show he can
get OKC far without any help
4. He won MVP of the all star game so he enjoys the big stage.

5. His odds are pretty dam good considering everyone will be on
Steph Curry and Lebron and others.

Obviously its no lock but as a decent size long shot its definitely worth
a few bucks.
I think I will bet on this too sir seeing westbrook to do all he can to prove that okc can still survive w/out Durant and the raise would be bet james and curry again westbrook will come out and get the title behind the back, maybe that's also a good drama for nba to create another tam to defeat. will see this things happen mate.
Yeah! the guy has a point in his prediction, we should thank him for bringing up the reasons on why we should be on westbrook. Like what happen in the past if you guys still remember, during the 1st finals of the warriors vs cavaliers, the favorites for finals MVP is lebron and curry but in the end it was iggy who goes out to be a winner and the odds was really good that time.
Although Iggy was given the Finals MVP award, we all know that Lebron played like a beast in that Finals. If only the award can be given to the losing team, LBJ could easily brought home that Finals MVP trophy. In the case of Westbrook, there's a good chance he will become a frontrunner in the MVP race, that is if (1) he doesn't get traded, and (2) he carries the Thunder to the playoffs.

Well I'm gonna bet for Paul George. Even though he came from gruesome injury he can lead the Indiana Pacer to championship with the great additional free agent that they pick up.
I am not yet confidence with the way Paul George is playing, he is actually an offensive player as he cannot consistently do it, the injury is still with him and I don't wanna risk my money with the injured guy that has not proved anything yet that he can take his team to the finals. On the other hand, Westbrook is more explosive than Paul George as evidenced by the way he played in the West Finals and even in the all star game.

If I am OKC, I trade him to the highest bidder and don't look back. This guy is fool's gold. No team will ever win anything with this moron as the 1st option. And don't say he could be a second option, because this guy is so stupid and stubborn he feels he should take every shot. Despite being an atrocious shooter that doesn't have a clutch bone in his body. Biggest fraud in the NBA and it isn't even close.

I often hate your posts, but we are in complete agreement here, brother.

Although Westbrook will average sick PPG numbers this season, since he will set a league record in FG attempts if he stays healthy.

Please don't quote in quote too much. Only last quote would be enough. Keep the thread clean, thanks.
I'm adding a poll to the thread. Which team will be the champion? What's your favorite one for this season?

It is quite obvious that the GS Warriors will be the heavy favorites to win the title this season. Although I am not a big fan of them, they have more than enough talent to make a run for the title year in and year out. All they have to do is keep the players healthy and get everyone involved, as has been the case the last two years for them.

They were an epic choke job away from losing in the WCF, and not even making the Finals. Heck the Blazers, who only advanced because of injuries to CP3 and Blake, were putting double digit leads on them. They've played a total of 2 healthy good teams in 2 years, and went 7 both times.

yes mate they just needed to make sure that their starter will be much healthier to assure their appearance playing in the play offs
durant and allen might be a good addition to curry and thompson 3's attempt it would be a game from the rainbow and battle of the
shooter this coming season.

It's only Kevin Durant who add for them monster lineup. How about their bench? I don't considered GSW as a most favored team. They will play for pressured game not of the normal game they are used too since many expecting a good performance from them.

Sometimes when people are expecting the heaving favorites will win the other thing will happen, since the warriors are heavy favorites, I would fade them in this coming season and rather choose an underrated yet a legitimate team which is the spurs.

I think they also signed Zaza Pachulia into a deal and he is also a solid back up center. Iggy is still there, though he will be older. I think they won't push too hard during the regular season so they could maintain their players' health. The real show and test would be the playoffs when everything is a level higher and games are more crucial.

Although I am not a big fan of them, they have more than enough talent to make a run for the title year in and year out. All they have to do is keep the players healthy and get everyone involved, as has been the case the last two years for them.

It's only Kevin Durant who add for them monster lineup. How about their bench? I don't considered GSW as a most favored team. They will play for pressured game not of the normal game they are used too since many expecting a good performance from them.
I think they also signed Zaza Pachulia into a deal and he is also a solid back up center. Iggy is still there, though he will be older. I think they won't push too hard during the regular season so they could maintain their players' health. The real show and test would be the playoffs when everything is a level higher and games are more crucial.
You are right, the real test in on the playoffs because the team will win will be the team that is good in adjustment, warriors are a better team last finals but the cavaliers made a right adjustment to beat them in the next 3 games. I hope they have learned their lessons on that sad experience.

it will be a good and exciting to watch how the gsw adjusted after adding kd and how the rotation will be, clay and curry already a shooting guard and kd as well so three shooter and how about a defender just green and iggy?

The 3 are already dangerous in the court as they can shoot at a different angle on the floor, and green has really improved last season with a good shooting in the 3 point line, they are a very good 3 point shooting team so their opponent will having a hard time guarding all the shooters.

Yeah! that is true, they are all stars and they can make a good play in the court when the game is close. Durant usually make the game winning shots in the OKC but with warriors they have a lot of option as they have curry and Thompson who can step up when one of their stars is having a bad game.

The big problem there is, does they have team chemistry in the court? We all know that they are great player but we all know also that cury, thompson,Durant and green use to handle the ball  and im wondering how could they execute perfectly with no score competition or ball jealousy on all of the said players, but well if they really make sacrifice and purely share the ball and make it rotate until it reach to open man well theirs no doubt that they will be the most dangerous team in the history of NBA and provably they will beat their very own record last season on most win team.
