Detroit Pistons forward Christian Wood was the third player in the NBA to test positive for the new coronavirus, doing so on March 15. However, it appears the big man is just about healed up from COVID-19 and is reportedly closing in on a clean bill of health.

That's great news, He's the first player from the NBA to have fully recovered as stated by his agent, Chris Wood announced he tested postive later than Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchel, but neither of both players have recovered, maybe theirs is just around the corner.

The skpetical me. There might be a conspiracy to control global public panic through the use of famous celebrities and athletes to pretend that they have the coronavirus and show that they are ok. This virus might be more deadly than what the authorities tell us, I reckon.

There is no confirmation yet that KAT was also infected, it was the mother that was infected according to the news.

As of now there is no news yet adding on the NBA players that was already infected with the virus, but unfortunately now US surpass China in terms of number of cases of COVID-19.

@bbc.reporter - I don't know if high profile personalities are more willing to be a pawn in this pandemic by the government. But I do agree that this is getting uglier by the day. Lock downs, self-isolation, it's madness right now even here in our country.

That's correct, and it seems like China have already found the solution to this pandemic, they are asking the US to talk to them, hopefully Trump would seek help from China and forget about the war just to save the humanity.

Very difficult to trace that up, there are lots of possibilities on how those players get this virus, not just physical contact with people who already carrying it but there are many other ways for this virus being transferred.
Lockdown will help a lot of keeping the spread so best to follow this for now.

NBA is considering options regarding finishing this current season. Latest news is that we might get some kind of Finals series in Las Vegas

The Las Vegas tournament could be a play-in tournament for lower-seeded teams if the league decided to cancel the rest of the season.
The tournament could then be a best-of-five series for the first round and then a one-and-done tournament to determine the two teams moving to the NBA Finals, according to individuals familiar with the planning said.
CNBC says that the tournament and finals would be held at the Thomas & Mack Center and the Cox Pavilion, where the Summer League is held, though News 3 was unable to immediately confirm this information.
Games following the restart of the season would likely be played without an in-person audience.

This would be far from perfect, but I guess it would still be better option that completely cancelling the season. Personally, it will be miracle if they can pull off this. It will be interesting to hear players opinion, as they are the ones that will be endangered the most, and consequently. Maybe players could be in some kind of quarantine during finals series, to minimise the risk of spreading the virus.

It is actually easy to prevent it by just staying at home. Don't let any visitors come in. That way, they might do the same.
Hate me all they want but I won't get near them. I won't even open the door for them.

Trump even let some workers to get in work while doing social distancing. I still won't approve with that.
The economy can stand again later on but it will not  if you don't have any people to rise the economy.
I am not against him or anything. It is just that people should really stay at home for now.

I have seen a lot of politician news and they really want to continue working even with other countries already doing the quarantine.
I won't even risk my life for that.
There will always be another job if they fire me.
It is not about making money anymore but staying healthy and alive.

NBA could always continue the game anytime.

To be honest, I wasn't surprised with the US surpassing Italy in the number cases, after the first few NBA players tested positive, I knew that the virus must spread a lot during those games without anyone noticing due to how long it could take before the symptoms could surface.

This would be far from perfect, but I guess it would still be better option that completely cancelling the season. Personally, it will be miracle if they can pull off this. Any decision taken by NBA as to how to finish the season would be far from perfect, if it's not the native playoffs format. However, they'd would be looking to savage as much as they can from whatever is left, so even more drastic measures could be considered.

Good news indeed, and expected as they are pro athletes at their prime, and on top of that they have best medical services money can buy. I bet that 99% of them have mild symptoms so I'm sure that all the others will recover soon as well.

I hear a lot of talk lately about season continuing without the fans, more and more people in the media mentions it and I think that might become reality soon. Players like LeBron will just have to accept that. As it looks, it might be the only way to finish this season. But that comes with dome dangers as well. Tough call, and whatever they choose, there will be opponents and complaints.

 Recovery is a lot faster if you are a healthy individual it turns out. However there is a real trouble that until you get better, there is a chance you can infect others as well. There is a HUGE number of people who are infected right now around the world, but we do not realize that a lot of them are not actually dying, many of them will recover because this doesn't kill you all that easily right away, it usually damages you, it bed riddens you, or maybe sometimes does absolutely nothing, Donovan himself said that he feels like he could go for a 7 game series when he was infected, some people are just carriers and feels zero sickness.

 I think the way the world is going right now, we are still peaking and going up, I doubt we will see NBA this year if this keeps up, I know that they want to play because we are talking about billions of dollars here, but they can't force any player to risk their lives as well. Think about an NBA player dying because of corona because he was forced to play, do you know what will happen? That would be literally suicide for Adam silver and the rest.
