First of all, Nets is the better team here, at least that's the expectation of the many. Yes, Nets played their 2nd game but they got some rest, so it's not really a big deal though. Both of these team won their last game, and Boston is playing without one of theirs star player which is Kemba Walker.

Durant is undeniably still a great player and we can still see that Brooklyn's playbook depends on the ability of their two Superstars to score. Most of their plays revolve around Kyrie and Durant; that is why we are seeing these great stats coming from them. Boston on the other still have an incomplete lineup which is sad since season openings are really important to at least get the team having great chemistry.

Yup! Brooklyn Nets' future is in their hands. With Irving and Durant's presence, the team had a huge change. It can now be considered as one of the strongest contender from the East. That We might see a new team in the Finals .

Regarding Boston's loss, hmm I don't really bother since it eas only a preseason game. And even if Walker wasn't able to make it through the season opening, I'm still not worrying because they belong to the top tier teams. I believe that they could catch up in no time assuming their key players will not be injured until the very end. Besides, Tatum, Hayward and Brown can carry their team alone.

I'm surprised that nobody here in the thread is talking about Lamelo Ball's scoreless NBA debut, I mean it was the first time since Otto Porter who was a top 3 pick who went scoreless on their nba debut.

I don't know what Bucks will do in play-offs but for Yesterday's games Bucks was a clear favorite against Golden State. This 39 point difference win is no surprise. Bookmakers gave only 1.10 odds for Bucks.
Klay is not going back soon, so Warriors can't even make play-offs this year.

They probably finished in the 1-3 spot but won't dominate the East just like what they did in the last 2 years finishing as the top seed in the East. They also had a couple of changes that didn't improved them, while Nets (with KD) and the Celtics and even the 6'ers upgraded it will be hard for Giannis to dominate again.

Heat odds was 1.48
Pelicans odds was 1.90
Other bookmakers probably give %5-10 better than these odds so around +1.60 and +2.00 you could take.

Heat was favorite by a good margin. They won all quarters except 3rd one. Although I don't bet on quarters or half time scores that could be profitable for people who make bets.

Yep, Duncan Robinson was underrated. He really had that exceptional talent but did not have the right team to show it until coach Spoelstra picked him up then from that point, they have gotten a strong catch-and-shoot guy. Their team right now still got that big opportunity to get to the finals as long as they do not have any unexpected injuries.

I am not going to like Nets seems quite good. I assumed that not having too many decent players aside from Irving and Durant would have made them mediocre at best, but boy was I wrong. First of all Joe Harris is definitely a good role player and a decent start for a championship level team, not all championship teams have 5 superstars, you have some superstars but also have some role players and Harris is good for that.

Dinwiddle was becoming a decent point guard and he is a crypto lover as well so I guess he could be the most liked NBA player around here And we all know Deandre Jordan, even though he seems aged a bit he is still quite good. Nets will make the finals or so I do think after what I saw in pre-season and this 2 games of the regular season. Last night Nets showed us once again that whenever they have KD and KI they simply cannot loose and we all know it's hard to win on Celtics ground.

I have to say I didn't really paid attention to Nets before this year so I didn't know how well they were playing even without stars, to see them with two superstars it is obvious that they will be a big contender in East.

In the bubble, there's not much expectation for the Brooklyn Nets due to the fact that some of their key players are missing.

But it's no secret that some got surprised that they played well even without those key starters inside the bubble. They are 5-7 in the bubble and some of their notable wins are against the No. 1 seed in the East, Milwaukee Bucks, and No. 2 seed in the West, Los Angeles Clippers.

Dinwiddie, Joe Harris, Jarrett Allen, Taurean Prince, Garrett Temple are some of those who step up for the Nets while some of their starters are missing. And now that Irving, Durant, and some starters are now back in action, the Nets now became the talk of the town and considered a team to beat in the Eastern Conference.

Seeing him back in the line up makes the Mavericks a complete team, Luka and Porzingis are the face of this team, without them this team won't be a playoff team. I hope Porzingis will not experience injury again as that has been the problem with the Mavericks, maybe the management needs to put some load management on him so they can prepare him in the playoffs which matters a lot for a team who wants to have a shot in the championship.

This is a good battle of the two best guards in the NBA, but Morant here is more consistent with his 6/7 shooting.
