Seeing reports today that the Nets have started putting together a trade package for Ben Simmons. Given Harden is sick of the Kyrie situation already and the rules change is killing his career, he’s very motivated to get to Philadelphia where he has lots of close personal ties with ownership and local celebrities. I don’t know how motivated he will be to play basketball in Philadelphia, but he can’t play less than Ben Simmons. I like the trade for Philadelphia. I don’t think they’ll be able to do better than Harden for Simmons.

Well if he get's traded to a city wherein he has a lot of ties then for sure he can play like his days in Houston. But he has to understand that there is also Joel in the Sixers team and he can't be the Alpha in this team. Trae Young and Steph Curry has adjusted to the new rules and even Chris Paul, so I don't think that Harden can't adjust as well. It's that he is not motivated with the Nets right now, specially that they are in a losing streak with KD and the Kyrie situation.

1 week left until trade deadline.  Clippers just scooped up Norman Powell great move on their end.  Once kawhi and PG are back Norman will provide a good scoring punch.  And sadly I think the Knicks need to break up the team.  Get what they can for some of the vets.  Give the young guys some run and try to hit the draft and free agency hard over the next couple years.  Lost season...
I think it was a total letdown from Julius Randle, I mean this guy is putting MVP numbers like year and brought them to the playoffs but eventually lost to the Hawks. But now things are very different, Julius is not as assertive as last season and there is no fire in him even playing at home court. There was no injuries or something on his end to be like this, so I'm not sure what is going on in the locker room. No jive whatsoever unlike last year.

True and there have been reports surfacing now that he might be in the trading block as well. All of his stats is dropping as compare to last season. But he said that he is committed to the Knicks franchise but we will see. If his performance is going down, then the management might trade him. Is his 2020 season just an anomaly and this is the real version of Julius?

Great come back from the Dallas Mavericks defeating the Philadelphia 76ers. Luka Doncic's performance was top-notch being a playmaker and points contribution. 33 points, 13 rebounds, and 15 assists. 44th career triple-double. That kind of stats is surely a game-winner.
76ers made a big lead at the first half but the Mavs found their rhythm in the 3rd quarter with Luka exploding and Powell helping in both ends of the floor to outscore them with 32-15.

I'll take that if I am the 76ers management and it will be a reunion for Daryl Morey (76ers President of basketball operations formerly Rockets) and James Harden. They won't have a hard time dealing with him.
The only problem I see if the Nets want more and I am reading rumors they want Tyrese Maxey added to the deal. That's a "no deal" and given Morey's greediness he won't just give up a kid with a bright future. Maxey's speed reflects the run and gun play of Doc Rivers and would be a quality back up if the James Harden trade would happen.

Nets' terrible form is still existing. They played an away game against Jazz last night and they lost it as I expected. They didn't have KD and Harden which was an important point for them. Irving played but he got only 15 points. The 20-year-old guard Cameron Thomas shined in this game with 30 points but they still lost by a big gap like 125-102. This was their seventh straight loss and I wonder until when they will go on like this. There are three teams right behind them which can leave them behind soon as long as things go on like now. Nets might even be under the threat of not qualifying for the playoffs.

Bledsoe isn't a good fit for the Clippers that is why they traded him and Powell on the other hand is the player that is starting to rise when he is in the Blazers and I hope that both of them can be better fit for their respective teams.

With regards to the Knicks, they don't have any reliable shooter that's all. They paid Randle hoping that he will play the same last season when they finished 4th in the standings but now he isn't playing that way but far worse. They need to get better players into the team and develop these younger players like Barrett, Robinson, Quickley and maybe add Toppin as well. No hopes for Knicks fans out there. I hope that they will get new players before the deadline.

I'm still bitter with the Mavs lost in OT prior to this game. They also made a big comeback against the Thunder tied the score and has a chance to win but Luka missed the 3's.

But in any case, it's good to see them making another huge comeback and win this time. I like Jalen Bronson a lot, he is really improving this season, but if he can also improved his assists per game, that will be awesome for the Mavs.

Dallas Mavericks really made a great comeback against Philadelphia 76ers last night. Especially their performance in the third quarter was great and enough for winning the game. I really liked Doncic in this game as he made a delightful triple-double by 33 pts, 13 reb and 15 ast. His field goal success stayed below 50% maybe but he still had a big role in this nice win. Mavericks are still one of the powerful teams thanks to Doncic especially. I'm looking forward to seeing them in the playoffs too.

It was probably his best game this season, it was clearly a  domination and his stats are so impressive. If he can keep that up and continue to play like a real MVP, I guess the Dallas Mavericks would be able to rise and be the top 3 team in the West. And by the way, Dallas would not make it withou the support of the following players who also contributed well.

Brunson 19 points
 Bullock 20 points
 Finney-Smith 13 points
 Powell 14 points.

44th career triple-double. That kind of stats is surely a game-winner.

Might be on 50+ now as there are lots of games where Luka is just shy away with a few numbers for a triple-double.

15 assists is an insane performance while at the same time, being a scoring machine. And even I like to disregard his 13 rebounds, hey he was a PG lol. The best thing on that is, there was no attempt to get that stats. Luka just goes with the flow and lets his performance do the work.

The game which was between Charlotte Hornets and Cleveland Cavaliers ended up with a really close result. Hornets made a big effort in the last quarter but Cavaliers still were able to win this game by only one point. Cavs are just one of the greatest teams of the Eastern Conference right now. They didn't have a wonderful season like this for a long time but now they are just enjoying each of their games. While they are this much great, they should be able to do big things in the playoffs. This will be depending on whether they would reflect their current effort there too.

Are you talking about Westbrook here? Lol, the MVP Westbrook was full of stat padding, Luka just enjoyed the game and let his teammate enjoy the flow as well. Dallas has been playing real basketball, but they need some killer instinct so they'll be tougher in the playoffs, not allowing a team to come back again and beat them.

I don't understand why it leads to Russell Westbrook hehe. No, it was obviously Luka Doncic.

I watched the game highlights that's why I concluded that Luka was just on his usual rhythm without realizing that he will establish another triple-double.

With that performance, Luka is now in the Top 10 on the league's records for Triple-Doubles leaders.

He highlighted part of your comment, because Westbrook used to be deliberately play and finish with a triple-double almost every game regardless If his team wins or not.
That's what we call stat padding, the deliberate attempt to get the stat filled.
Luka is in a different level, he is the modern LeBron an elite all around player who can carry a team even at the very early stage of their career. Remember, LeBron ain't a point a guard but his assist number speaks differently, same thing for Luka who's a point guard but can grab 10+ rebound whenever he wants.

The one of the best things about Luka, he's just doing what he thinks the best for the team and doesn't even realized that he's dominating at it. Also, he's not so thirsty about the stats and records that he could pull of, such a humble big man. He's a real asset to the team with an average of 25 PPG.

Don't worry. Once playoffs started, their respective standing will reset. Once the playoffs started, any teams that will be on the Nets bracket will surely be handled by them. Not of course in the event that they are missing their key players.

Just unfortunate that in a series match, Irving will just play on Away games. He will really stand on his idea not to be vaccinated. If ever his team will reach a deciding Game 7 on their home, he will just watch it lol.

I thought that the 29 pt 22 rebound game of Jarrett Allen will turn into nothing but its good that they won the game and yes it is really close. Its the foul with Kevin Love that sealed the deal.
When they released the all-star reserves, I'm thinking on why they snubbed Allen? He played great this season and we know that. I just don't know how he got snubbed this time :|.

The Cavaliers are the most surprising team right now for me and they are fun to watch when they are playing and take note that this team composes of young and talented players like Garland, Mobley, Allen and Sexton. With regards of their performance to the playoffs, I'm already disregarding the fact that most of them have little to no experience in the playoffs because I think that they will play well in the playoffs.

I will only agree with the quote "they will handle all teams that they will face in the playoffs" only if the three of them will play at the same time. Not one, not two but all three of them. Unfortunately, we are at the half of the season and we didn't see that moment at all.

Durant and Harden are injured while Irving can only play on road games and if he plays, he doesn't have any back-up all star to play with. Now the Nets are in the spot where they might freefall up to the 8th spot or even lower (hope not). They are having a hard time winning if Durant isn't playing. They are now in a losing streak. Good thing that they have Cam Thomas that stepped up in their game against the Jazz but it wasn't enough. Irving on the other hand though still doesn't want to get vaccinated. Well, its his decision but I just don't like that he will choose his beliefs with vaccines over his team and a possible championship as well  Huh.

That said, it will also mean that they will play extra games if they will be in the 7th spot because the Raptors now is just 1 game away before they will took over the spot of Nets. The Nets was used to be one of the favorites to be in the finals but look at them now. As for Kyrie Irving, the Nets management should figure this out already because Kyrie has signed a contract for them and they are running on the disadvantage now.

Ofcourse! Who would be happy about that, KD is injured while Irving can only play road games and they lost 7 games in a row while other players aren't consistent. James Harden should make amends so that he could go to the 76ers as it could benefit him and the 76ers because if he continue to play for the Nets then I think he should also give up his dream to win the Finals for the 1st time, also he's aging.
Harden will fit just right, just like CP3.

Would be a terrible trade imo for the Nets.  After next year they can move on from Harden as he only has 1 year left on his contract after this year.  Anyone taking on Simmons is getting locked into what can end up being a terrible contract for 3 plus years.  Given his head space I'm not taking on someone and locking in one of my max spots for someone who just might not want to play ona. Given day/year.  No thanks.
