It's not a good sight to see only 3 players in the Lakers have double digits in points. Their critics will probably dissect this game.

But the center of the criticism will be on Westbrook. I'm so disappointed with his performance, it looks like he is also not happy with his teammates, you can tell by looking at his production, that's not the same Westbrook we saw years ago. Back then, he also played with superstars like Durant and Harden, but Westbrook does really excel unlike now that he cause the struggle of this team.

He was always the center of criticism even before this game. Critics will always compare the amount of contract he has and the production he produces for the Lakers, actually, his production is very low compared to the expectation of the team. Westbrook is suppose to be one of the leaders of this team, they got him to build a big 3 only two are functioning well, so they'll still gonna fail on their championship aim.

Nunn, Beverly, and Westbrook has 1-25 FG combined at the three point area, just a worst night for these guards. Too much expectations on them again? I think that's the right thing to speculate for Lakers, their depth aren't that nice to be honest. Will it change when Thomas Bryant and Dennis Schroeder played? I don't think so, these two are just on rehabilitation on their injuries too.

Though these guards have a terrible shooting night, they still only lose by 5 points, so the question is, what if they played an average game, will the Lakers win that game?

The Clippers have to be one of the deepest teams in the league.  I was surprised with the play of John Wall.  Missed watching him play and he looks to be in form given its only the first week.  Same with leaonard.  Once these guys gets stretched to 30 minutes a game they are gonna be one of the toughest outs.  I hope they stay healthy, might lay a championship bet on them.

I think the problems in Lakers teams are going deeper between them and I think the only solution for this team to move on , is to let some players to leave as soon as possible because if they stay in this format , play-offs are a very hard achievement.

They are forcing Westbrook to do what he does not do. Westbrook just does not fit in this team. He needs the ball and attacks the basket because that is what he does best. He is not the type that will go to a corner and wait for a kick out from Lebron. 0-11 field goal, 0-6 3pt field goal is horrible but if you are taken away from your real game, I guess that will be the result. It is not just Westbrook though that bricked, almost all the guards from the Lakers bricked. It is not just Westbrook; it is the whole team that should be overhauled.

GSW is still the deepest team in the league right now. The clippers may come second. Leonard and Wall are still coming from the bench, and I think I heard that will last for a few months. I think it is wise to do that at least until they can fully adjust back to their old selves. They will still be fresh come playoffs. And that is scary.

Westbrook wasn't the only one who performed so badly. Beverley scored 1 out of 7, and Nunn had 0 out of 7. However, Westbrook's poor performance attracted the most attention because it showed that he didn't change his style of play and make appropriate conclusions during the offseason. Therefore, I'm more than sure he will perform as poorly throughout this season as he did last season. It would be better for the Lakers if they traded him as soon as possible. However, the problem is that the other teams aren't interested in Westbrook because of his huge contract.

Heck of a game for the Bulls to start off the season with such a big win over one of the NBA's best teams, the Miami Heat.  DeMar DeRozan had one hell of a game, and picked things up right where he left them off from last year...

I want Miami Heat to win but I didn't follow my earlier plan to bet on them. Chicago Bulls upgraded their line-up this season with Andre Drummond and Goran Dragic while Miami Heat lost P.J. Tucker. And I also expect Nikola Vucevic to bounce back strong this season after his numbers dropped down last season. It will be exciting how Chicago fares this season. Last season they were someone strong but they failed to win most of the time against the top teams. Now they have 2 new veterans and Dragic is very experienced in playoff games which is the most important of all games. 

Yeah I guess I’d agree that the Chicago Bulls upgraded their roster a bit, but I don’t think they upgraded enough to make a big difference in terms of being able to legitimately compete for a championship. The Bulls biggest issues right now are of course number one far and away getting Ball healthy and number to getting Lavine healthy. Not sure what the heck is going on with Lavine now, but he’s missing yet again another game tonight. Not a great way to start the year.

I get it everyone expects Lebron to bring them to playoffs and then some with how he has done it on cavs for so many years but he is too old to do that now.

I guess they will get a few wins soon, but they are just not that good. Hawks are looking like my dark horse candidate to shock people this year, they are actually looking pretty decent, they have good players in all right places and could shock the world by having 50+ wins and going deep in playoffs this year if they are lucky.

Yeah those 2 are key to Chicago running.  When Chicago got lavine I wasn't high on the guy but he has turned out to be way better than I thought.  Dude can ball with anyone in the NBA.  And ball yeah, without your starting point guard it's hard to win consistently.  Can do it for a game or 2 but long term it's tough.  With that being said I think the bulls landed a good one with Ayo.  For a 2nd rounder he is paying off

Yes, but the Bulls have a good chance if both Lavine and DeRozan will put a big numbers just like what they did early last season. It's that they got injured, then lost the momentum. Yes they make it to the playoff in the first round but eventually lost.

It's not a big upgrade and I don't think getting Drummond will be a big help for them since they already have Vuce and Jones to play the center. Maybe Dragic to help their young roster and his experience.

Although he can still play at a high level at his age, I'm not seeing him on the Cavs level of playing when he is on the Lakers. He now needs help from AD and others. However, I think he is chasing another record this season, to break Kareem's all time scoring record.

I like the Hawks being the underdog, if they are going to be the underdog in a game, for sure I will bet on them. Trae Young is still a very cold heart player and will put a dagger on the heart on whoever they will play against.

I also agree, the Dragic acquisition is more of like trying to get get someone to help Kobe White in the guard position but nowhere a replacement to Ball. Their big 3 will have to be present and be healthy to help the Bulls in another tough Eastern conference. So there is no huge upgrade by the team, but more of a experiment and see how far they can go with their latest addition. It will be a battle now as who is going to be the second center to replace Vucevic, it is going to be Drummond or will they still rely on Jones. And then Dragic, getting minutes here and there.

Man, I'm telling you, Westbrook might become a bigger problem as the season goes on, they should consider trading him, he simply does not fit on the system of the LA Lakers.

That was really disappointing but here's the thing here.

On the Lakers' first game against the Golden State Warriors, despite losing that game, Westbrook didn't receive any criticism because he played well.
On Laker's second game against the Los Angeles Clippers, Westbrook is now again on the hot seat on that poor performance.

Everyone is monitoring Westbrook's performance where in fact in that game against the Clippers, we should be discussing instead how good the Clippers are especially the chemistry between John Wall, Kawhi Leonard, and Paul George. Forget the Lakers' analysis on that game. Even if they ended up losing, it's not that they truly outplayed the whole game. Better luck next time for them. And for the Clippers, I hope they will be healthy all season.

Even though Lebron is still putting up good numbers up to this point, people should lower their expectations for him that he can still carry the Lakers. What are the other young guys doing there for the Lakers if, in the end, they will still rely on Lebron? People can rely on Lebron to help the team but to carry it, that's a different story.

Anthony Davis is the most reliable player in the Lakers right now and has the capability to carry the team only if he stays healthy the whole season. That's a big question if he can finish all games this season up to playoffs if ever Lakers will make it.

I wish that he'll stay healthy and won't be contracted any physical injury that's too heavy for him to get out for some games. But we don't know for sure if being injury free is guaranteed.

I still feel bad and can't move on for Kemba Walker for being waived by the Pistons and the same goes for LiAngelo Ball who's been waived by Hornets.

It's like the same feeling when we've seen that Melo wasn't taken by any team until he's been taken for a contract. Hopefully, these folks will also find new home that will take them.

That game between the Blazers and SUns are insane, it almost went into a double OT.

Lillard was still Lillard but this current team seemed playing well and they enjoy playing each other.
The hero of the game was Simons, his go ahead shot gave the Blazers a win, congrats to the winners, that ML was sweet.

The Denver Nuggets were able to beat the Golden State Warriors. I feel like if there was another couple of minutes left the Warriors would have won though. The impressive thing is that Denver did it without Murray who is joining them for their home opener. I was shocked too as I saw the news. I was not able to watch the game and just look thru the highlights.
It's somehow surprising how the Nuggets played better when they took Murray out for his knee injury management. Their rotation was better and their guards are working their asses and helping Jokic gain a W.
The first win is against the defending champs, good job. Jokic ended it with a triple-double.

Grizzlies is also one of my picks that may end up in the Finals or West Conference. Pretty solid roster and just won against the Rockets, now at 2-0.
