The Warriors just ended the road curse.  Grin
Steph Curry celebrating like a thorn was pulled out from his body. A lot of things have to be celebrated though and one of them is Klay Thompson who had been playing better in their last two games.
He finished the game with 10/13 in 3-point shots, that's the Klay we loved to watch. Steph had 33 points and 15 assists.
The splash brothers are back!

Yes, consistency is the key for them right now but I can see a hope for them. Last games were not so bad for them, I feel like we might see a little improvement in the at least short term. I agree with your point about Lebron. I hugely respect him and actually love his approach to basketball in the last 5-10 years, but he cannot carry the team anymore. He is just merely too old. That must be accepted by everyone, most of all Lebron. He is still a huge star but it is obvious that some things have to be changed for Lakers, and Lebron might be the biggest of them.
Look, I confess that I also realized this... from some games, I saw that the Lakers had a little bit of improvement, but what will say if this is real or not... is consistency, I believe he will have to maintain this performance to know if this is a real improvement or not
Regarding LeBron James, unfortunately he is getting old and doesn't have the same ability to "carry the team on his back" as he used to, he is still an all star player, but unfortunately age is coming for him

It's not that LeBron already loses his capabilities to lift a team but more on the competition itself is more ready for LeBron, lots of stars who are now playing with high competition game.

We will see if the consistency of Lakers will continue playing against the Spurs,
they have the advantage in terms of papers but we never know how they will manage to
beat the unpredictable Spurs.

LeBron may not be what he used to be, but I still think he's king. Currently, the Los Angeles Lakers are standing with Anthony Davis in the last 3 games in his absence, but he will be more effective when he comes back. They had a three-game winning streak and now they have an away streak to play. If they manage to win in these matches, they will have a chance to play off, but it is very difficult to talk about the championship.

They broke this terrible streak, but the opponent was not the strongest for this, Houston is very bad this season, but they have to start somewhere, I'm glad that the Warriors finally did it. ) Lakers won, this is already the third victory in a row, but this is already a struggle at the bottom of the standing, not what I expected from the Lakers, LeBron's injury is bad.

I like the way Sacramento is playing now, after a bad start, they went on a 6 win streak, that's impressive.

Lakers' rotations are much better without him controlling the court, not to disrespect LeBron, but the players inside are more comfortable playing alongside each other without him.

Look how WB and Dennis facilitate and also Nun, reeves and Walker. They are all willing to take the shot if
they see good openings, unlike with LeBron. They are more on passing the ball first before thinking about taking the
shots.

LeBron can't carry a team anymore, though he can still fill the stat sheet, but his presence in the court is unlike before when he's still in his prime. I'm not even sure how great is his impact once he gets back to the court, because honestly the Lakers were playing well without him. I know he's got a good basketball IQ, so he'll probably going to come up with a good plan for the Lakers to be a competitive team again.
Next up for them is a much tougher opponent than their last 5 games.

Ya, it was crazy how many road games they lost. It’s now the longest dry streak for a defending champion. I loved seeing that Klay is back. He needed this. Combining to score 74 points with Steph is scary. Splash Brothers are definitely back.

Anthony Davis had another big night as the Lakers smashed the Spurs and won another game while LeBron James is out with an injury.
74 points, yeah! They are going to be back in the top 8 in the West if they can continue playing like that.
Now, it's Jordan Poole who is struggling to find his offense. 3 games with 25+ minutes scoring 10, 13, and, 2. As I watch the game, I saw how bad his shooting is and that cannot happen especially if he is leading the bench team.
Before, they are good at preserving the lead thanks to him, but it's been quite a struggle in their previous games that the starters need to come back early to save the game.

But Klay though has to cover up Poole's scoring slump as he had a good game tonight.

As compare to Davis, who can't have a off night since Lebron is still out, and so he has to carry the bulk of the team's scoring and so far in 3 games he is on course and if I'm not mistaken, I've read that he is the first player since Shaq to have like 30 points + 10 or 15 more rebounds in 3 consecutive games. Not sure how long Davis can maintain his form, we already know how delicate his body is, but hopefully he won't get injured again so that we can see the West being competitive up to the 8 spot.

Here are the result of my picks for games today,

Phoenix Suns VS New York Knicks SCORE 116 - 95 - WIN

Just like I have though Jalen Brunson can not carry the team all alone, while Derrick Rose didn't do  that much, while the Suns have a good spread of points to them even though Chris Paul and the other main players did not play, they still got it going,

Houston Rockets VS Golden State Warriors SCORE 120 - 127 - WIN

From start to finish the Golden State Warriors has a strong lead, Klay Thompson was a monster and can not be stop he surely got 41 points, Andrew Wiggins got a solid 22 points, and Stephen Curry had a double-double performance of 15 assist and 33 points, Curry said on the interview that the beast is waking up,

Brooklyn Nets VS Memphis Grizzlies SCORE 127 - 115 - WIN

Dilllon Brooks can not carry the team alone and the absent of those main players has really a bad impact for the Grizzlies, while the Nets has a beautiful spread on points winning the game and just like I have said the Nets would win this surely,

Dallas Mavericks VS Denver Nuggets SCORE 97 - 98 - LOST

The only lost I attain, it is good that I didn't go with the Parley, and just went on with the regular bet, and go with the teams I think will win, Luca Doncic was stopped with just 22 points, while the Denver Nuggets even though they didn't have Nikla Jocic, DeAndre Jordan got 17 rebounds, while Nah'Shon Hyland got 29 points, winning the game, and I really did not expect the Denver to win at all,

Lebron's main concern now is his stats since he has a legacy to protect. Look what happen now to lakers where there's no LBJ on the court there rotation is quite good and for winning 2 consecutive game is morale booster to them. If they can still win on  3rd or even more games without him then I guess its for them to decide what will be the next plan on their rotation.

It is odd though that he is the king but his team is winning more now that he is out. They have beaten Nets, Pistons,  and Spurs. They have better ball movement and the team plays better overall. If the Lakers will win against the Suns without Lebron, that will say a lot about his capability and leadership in the team. They may even say he is becoming a liability since he is just chasing stats right now.

It is good that you did not go for a parlay. This game messed up my parlay and just with 1 point as well. It is a sad lost by Mavs. I really thought that the Mavs will be able to seal this up since they are ahead when I last checked the score. I guess the Nuggets do not want to lose back-to-back.

I imagine this is happening because LeBron James isn't overly concerned about the Lakers... I imagine he must have other priorities these days, I don't know, but that's just presumptuous on my part.

I imagine, if the Lakers start winning several games consistently, it might encourage the Lakers to play with more determination!
I believe the Lakers can easily reach the playoffs this season.

Yes, they seem fine on paper as their stats are steadily increasing but if you will watch them closely, you may think that they really lack something or it's just me? I can't just point out what it is. It's like AD needs someone who can play with him side-by-side and not only relying on LeBron when it comes to contribution.

LeBron is already an old news, and the league needs to accept that. He can't do big things anymore just to guarantee a win on their behalf, he is just in the league now to break another record but after that, I think he'll slowly rest because his age is catching him up already.

Without their former coach they are still a better team, in fact, they get better now IMO, and that's probably due to their finals experience. On the opposite side, we have the Warriors struggling despite their good performance in the past NBA FInals.

In this case, the talent is in the team players themselves and maybe the new coach just made some simple changes in order for the players to still do the things that made them contenders the last season and with the current best record in the league, they are really working and might gonna be still the Eastern Conference representative in the NBA finals. With their next home games, I'm sure they will gonna improve their ranks once more and probably hold their records until the end of the season if no injuries will push them to the sideline for more than 2 weeks.

Their coach duty now is to guide them whenever they needed it and works as an extra pair of eyes and brain to let them know what they should do in between time outs, the rest are on the players as they are now more experienced than the last season and that is probably why they are now leading on ECF.

Their next game is still on the road versus the Bulls, if they will win this one which by the way have a high chance because the bulls are still chaotic righg now and sits below .400 pct. If that happens, they will break the Bucks win streak this season.

Anthony Davis is doing great again and the Lakers fans are celebrating because this is how they want it to be when AD playing like how he used to be in his prime, they are hard to beat, and actually this is good for them since they are focusing on him despite the others are saying that he is now prone to injury. LBJ seems a good addition in this kind of play by the Lakers but let's just hope that it won't change to streak loss when he back again because that would be a disaster and a huge regretful decision ever since they are on the momentum to regain back their rank as one of the contenders in the western conference.

I think they will lose again when Lebron James is back. Cheesy Lebron's main target this season is to gather as many points in order to surpass Kareem Abdul‑Jabbar's all-time scoring record. If he managed to surpass Jabbar's record this season which is very doable, Lebron can play team-first next season during which they will be Westbrook-free and have $47 million which is a lot to spend on new players.

Anthony Davis is having momentum right now, he plays better when he is given the space and priority. It will be short-lived though once Lebron return's as the ball-handler and decision-maker.

The number 1 and number 2 seed of the West is playing right now.
Despite Utah Jazz playing back-to-back games they still look energetic and are in a good lead against the Portland Trail Blazers.

I am amazed though how big of a change these Trail Blazers become. The addition of Jerami Grant is a game-changer and so does their rookie Shaedon Sharpe who has been stepping up his game whenever he is given more minutes.
Now Dame will just need to be healthy all season long to preserve their winning momentum. Their bench is deep but it's still better if he is present.

And the Jazz won again, and their 2 best players is Clarkson and and Markkanen, again this Jazz really surprises us all in the West as they are top.

Unfortunately, initially reports says that Dame might have reinjured himself again, aggravated that calf muscle that has been bothering him. So this is a bad news for the TrailBlazers whose also a revelation this season. They might have to play again without him for the next weeks and see how serious his injury is. Hopefully it is not and that he just needed some rest to be able to recuperate.

Jazz knows how to win. Jordan Clarkson, Lauri Markkanen and Malik Beasley managed to beat Portland comfortably with their points. I think it was a comfortable game because they were always superior in all periods except the first period. At Portland, their contribution to the basket was split among many players, but they never took the lead in the game. I agree with you about the injury and I think they should go on without it. I hope it doesn't turn out as we expected and he gets better soon.

Yes, that three is now making a killing in Utah, I thought that Clarkson will be traded as well, but it seems he settled down very quick as the go to guy for the Jazz. And with the acquisition of  Lauri Markkanen, they have turned into a great contender. But we will have to wait, the old Jazz team choke in the playoff, so we will see if the same will happen with the Jordan Clarkson lead Utah Jazz now. Hope that Lilard will come back, don't what to see him down again with the same injury.

I reckon that they are about to trade him, it's just that they are not getting any good package in return that's why he wasn't traded. Who knew that the newly renovated team will work so fine, they are expected to tank this season but the opposite thing happened as they are now leading the Western Conference. Anyway, there's no need to give so much hopes on this roster because they are just new and it won't be a big deal if they will choke in the playoffs.

The best season for Clarkson so far, in that game, he took over in the 4th quarter to give the Jazz a comfortable lead, it looks like he already is the main man of the team, the previous 6th man of the year will likely become an all star this season. Their chemistry is really impressive, you can tell by looking at the scores distribution, I mean everyone is contributing on the floor.

I guess the lack of a superstar is working great for the Jazz. Since there is no superstar that hogs the ball, they all get touches and a chance to contribute to a win. That is great basketball. In this scenario, the coach should get a credit as well since he brings out the best on his team even when they are on a rebuilding process.

The management must be very happy with the Jazz now, I'm sure they didn't expect a rebuilding team to be at the number 1 spot now. They are for real, they loss some games but they also come back strong. number 1 in the West and 2nd overall, that's a great achievement so far.

Team play is very important and the Jazz are showing that every game, no superstar, they'll create their own, but no one did the ball hogging like Mitchell did in the past.

Jazz got lucky they were not able to trade him. He is performing very well and is in his prime right now. He will be carrying this team to the playoffs. I do not expect them to get past the 2nd round since they are in the West, but even just reaching the playoffs is already a good achievement for them.

Clarkson still has two years (including this year) with the Jazz. I wonder if the Jazz will extend his contract if he continues to show this kind of game with them. Or will they still trade him and continue with the original plan of rebuilding this team? He is still very young and can elevate to a superstar status if he continues to show improvement.
