Finally, the Celtics got their first season loss. The Celtics collapsed in overtime. Not gonna lie I'm surprised that the Wolves beat the Nuggets and the Celtics! The Wolves have handed two undefeated teams their first loss. It's awesome to be a Timberwolves fan. ANT can be MIP dis season. What do you think 🤔

Yeah, we don't know what's with this team, but they seems to be playing very well against a very though team like the Nuggets and now the Celtics. Anthony Edwards is on fire during the OT. He has a good chance to win it for the team though, but he misfires. But he make sure that in the OT there's not missing shots although he make one crucial mistakes but the Celtics has no time left to make a comeback in the OT.

I think him going into the Olympics and having that kind of experiences, really give Edwards that boost, the same confidence he has he is showing this season.

And I don't think as well that he is still in his prime years, give him at least 1 or 2 seasons more and he could take the NBA.

They have to prove themselves in the playoffs, though. However, we must respect what the Wolves have accomplished so far, as they've shown that Boston is not an unbeatable team. One thing I've noticed about the Wolves is that, thus far, Gobert is posting great statistics. So, he may end up with better output this season compared to the last, and the Wolves certainly need that.

Another big win by the Timberwolves. That win should boost their morale somehow and continue to their winning ways. However, there's still a lot to improve before they can consider themselves a serious contender this season. Their 2 towers need to be consistent. I am not sold on Conley, they need a stable and younger PG, and it does not have to be a star player. Nonetheless, the Timberwolves are still undefeated with a 4-0 record at home.

Boston and Philadelphia are now tied with 5-1 records. Philly has a 5 game-win streak.

They need that kind of consistency at home especially when the playoffs comes. That win was huge as they have done that even without KAT.
It's now looking good for the Wolves, the addition of  Conley to this team has somehow contribute well to what they have become now and Edwards had already matured as a player due to his big experience, especially playing the FIBA WC.

Boston and Philadelphia are now tied with 5-1 records. Philly has a 5 game-win streak.

It seems like they really don't need Harden after all. Speaking of Harden, he made his debut with the Clippers against the Knicks, but unfortunately, they lost.

Here are our players for week 2.

https://www.nba.com/news/stephen-curry-jayson-tatum-nba-players-of-the-week-2-2023
Quote
Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry and Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum have been named the NBA Players of the Week for Week 2 of the 2023-24 season.

No single doubt about that. Both players have been dominant on the offensive end for their respective conferences.
Here are the last 4 games stats of both players.
Steph Curry - Points - 21, 30, 28, 34.
Jayson Tatum - Points - 33, 30, 32, 32. Damn!

We could say that whatever the defense does, they cannot be stopped. All they can do is slow them down a little bit.
Steph could keep up at this number but I do wish Tatum could keep this up too and I am sure he will have a chance for the MVP race. His rebounding numbers are also going up and maybe that's because they don't have a real center on the floor. Well, it worked out for them, it just means more work to do but they can sprint faster due to their small-ball lineup which I think is their biggest weapon and the reason they kept on winning until last night.

I will go for Jason Tatum here due to the consistency he has shown in the last few games, plus that impressive 54% from beyond the arc. This is remarkable because he does not fully rely on 3-point shooting, which would indicate how complete a player he is. No disrespect to Curry, though, but the Warriors have been relying so much on him, unlike the Celtics where everyone has been moving the ball well. So, Tatum does not have the same burden as Curry.

Adebayo being overshadowed but he just put up an impressive number "under the radar" against the Lakers. It's his best performance so far.
- 22 Points
- 20 Rebounds
- 10 Assists

I think the future of the Heat rest on his shoulders. He is as important to the team as Buttler so hopefully he remains consistent and produce double-double every game.

Adebayo is a machine he always was, but is that kind of player who is always behind the star of the team, is like a second guitar, but he is top top.

In the other conference, is Spurs not doing so good.... so much hype on Wenbayama but i think he gonna need more time to make his place in this league.

That is a monster performance. That’s the game that Anthony Davis sat out the second half because of a groin spasm right? Funny enough social media was calling it a boner… I digress. That performance shows how weak the Lakers are without Davis in the middle and with him being so injury prone, they’re pretty weak with him. They should’ve traded him two years ago.

This in-season tournament is a weird one, I am not still sure about how it works to be fair, looks like it does feel as if the yare doing something that not even players completely understand. We will see who will be the first winners but I think it will not be a big team that will end up winning the title at the end of the season, not even the finalist neither.

Because it's something they may not care, and because they do not care, it looks like some smaller team who would not win anything else will end up fighting harder for it and that could be the result. Think of a team like Spurs, they got Wemby and want to showcase him and if they end up getting the first title here, that would be fun thing to start his career for sure. I hope that it ends up being fun at the very end, the finals should be good, and we could have some fun, plus all of these games go for the regular season results too so not like it's a separate thing from the season neither.

For what I hear Thompson is listed questionable on that game https://www.si.com/nba/warriors/news/injury-report-golden-state-warriors-vs-cleveland-cavaliers

There are also players out for Cavs so we can really see that its a off night for Warriors and that game against Cavs is a sort of wake up call that they should do more better.

But for sure in their next game they can possibly bounce back since Warriors especially Curry will don't want to get a back to back lose since it can lower down their morale as they want their team to be in good standings since they target to get a championship for their team and also to give the first ring to Chris Paul. Pistons seems to be fine opponent to them but they should never play cool since what happen to them with Cavs can possibly happen if they play cool around and take them as easy opponent.

Klay Thompson still played in that game but he only got 15 points in that game even though he played 32 minutes for sure it has something to do with the injuries you are talking about, and even though they lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers the next game is unexpectedly a win again for the Warriors but the next game will be a great thing for them as they will have to face the champion the Denver Nuggets that doesn't have Jamal Murray

It looks like the Dame Lillard move to the Bucks doesn't go well early this season. They had way better defensive and offensive ranking last season with Jrue Holiday in the roster.
Dame is one of the worse defender, but he could be an offensive weapon, but it has not translated to their current standing yet. It's kind of interesting because Jrue Holiday has the best offensive rating and the best team currently. Let's who really wins this trade lol.

For sure the Milwaukee Bucks have gotten their hands on players that will help them and help Giannis Antetokounmpo in ensuring that they will win the finals this season, but yeah a newly formed team will need time to fix their flaws and right now Damian Lillard is struggling for sure he got a great debut but still the team will need to work on how they can used Damian Lillard because as of now it is not really working well,

All of the games count for theor season results (except for the final) so it's not like they won't care the same about winning.  What I think is interesting and extra motivating is the $500k prize money.  For the players on min salaries and rookies who aren't making much that's a nice incentive.  So what you might end up seeing is these guys pushing a little harder than normal.  Either way interested to see how it comes together this year.

Sure he is important to the team just like last season and right now, he's technically the new captain ball of their team.

If he's going to be consistent and produce these numbers every single game although it's unlikely but at least close to this stat, it's not just going to be all about Jimmy whenever they're against with other teams.

Tomorrow, they're going to be with the Grizzlies. Lesser rest but I'm sure that he's still going to show some good numbers on that game.

It would be an easy win for them since there is nothing for the Grizzlies right now and they are struggling too much without their star players. As for the Miami Heat, they need to act fast and earn more wins in order to secure their playoff spot because it will be hard for them to do so if they keep losing the easiest game they will ever have this season.

Anyway, I never thought you could challenge some miscalls after the games just like the Lakers did when they fell to the Heat yesterday. But they didn't get any good results because the calls were clean and there's nothing wrong with it. They should have just accepted their defeat and done the right thing in their next game because it wouldn't be good for them to act in such a way every time they lose in an intense game.

Adebayo is a machine he always was, but is that kind of player who is always behind the star of the team, is like a second guitar, but he is top top.

In the other conference, is Spurs not doing so good.... so much hype on Wenbayama but i think he gonna need more time to make his place in this league.
The coach admires the pattern of Adebayo and keen on using him. Bamonte Adebayo is a star, equipped with outstanding qualities and with the aides of his teammates. He needs more playing time because there's alot he can explore in his performance and enchanced the team. He is an important player for his club and he has made tremendous contributions to the scores and brilliant performance of his club. There is a certain attributes I'm acquainted with the NBA player, he's consistent and does deliver when his team needs him, though he flops in some games, often unimportant games.

Boner made my day. Cheesy It made me laugh really hard  Cheesy Cheesy

Anyway, as for Davis being traded, there are many including me who wants him to be out of the Lakers a few years ago because of how injury-prone he is, but I guess he proved last season that he can still be one of the best centers "when healthy". Is he healthy last season? Well, yes he's less injury-prone that he is a few years ago. Did a quick research, and he's questionable in their next game against the Rockets alongside their another big in Hayes. Many are optimistic for the Lakers this season, and that they will be at a higher rankings compare to what they get last season, but right now, they're 3-4.

If they traded him a few years ago, who will they get as another big? Can you think of somebody that is a center as well who can play the same or even better than Davis?

I will go for Jason Tatum here due to the consistency he has shown in the last few games, plus that impressive 54% from beyond the arc. This is remarkable because he does not fully rely on 3-point shooting, which would indicate how complete a player he is. No disrespect to Curry, though, but the Warriors have been relying so much on him, unlike the Celtics where everyone has been moving the ball well. So, Tatum does not have the same burden as Curry.
Yeah, that's right Jayson Tatum has been phenomenal and I think this is the prime of his career. He may probably be on the upper ranks of the MVP race but Nikola Jokic will be difficult to defeat as he keeps on posting triple-doubles every game. Last time was one shy away in assists and he could've broken the record of Lebron James and Jason Kidd earlier.

About the Warriors relying on Steph Curry, I do think Klay Thompson seems to be getting his rhythm back, I mean his past performance although it is given as he is not in his prime anymore and the injuries did hurt him badly especially mentally.
I think it's Wiggins who became inconsistent in their team, they sure can rely on him defensively and in rebounds but his offense is not that good anymore, especially his mid-range shots.
Although that is happening, the Warriors are still getting more wins in their past 8 games. 6-2 to be exact and I think that's pretty good considering how their roster was overhauled particularly their bench.

Same with how important Jimmy was, Bam is another core of this squad, together they are really performing, and they are bringing
decent stats, I like the way they are sharing the floor together.

With Bam's active scoring he's really a big threat inside especially with his rebounding capabilities reminding me of how a prime Howard before.

Though Unlike Howard who dominate the scoring for the team, Bam got everyone on his back and he's really doing his part
and not after with individuality.

Yes, without Jimmy, the Heat might struggle to even reach the playoffs. Bam is good, but I believe it was the Heat's system that made him better over time. He's a team player, and he benefits from that. However, we can't be sure if he'll have the same stats if he gets traded to another team. It has happened with other players in the past where they struggled.

Comparing him to Howard, they aren't on par. During Howard's prime, he was very unstoppable in the paint due to his size and athleticism, but Bam is just a shorter center, and he isn't as strong as Howard. Bam is only 6'10", and he struggles against bigger and taller guys like Jokic.
