The OKC is becoming a trend currently due to its 6-game winning streak and they're now second in the Western Conference. But it will be more exciting to watch their next 4 games as they're facing the other top teams, Philadelphia, Timberwolves, Lakers, and then Dallas.
When they saw Chet playing already this season, many including me expected that the Thunder would be better than they were last season. I mean who expected for them to be at the play-in tournament? There might be some, but not for me. Even though the season hasn't started yet, many already predicted that the Thunder will at least get the 6th spot.

They will clinch the playoffs. That's for sure, but we know that the regular season and playoffs are very different so even though they clinch the playoffs, they might get eliminated in the first round depending on the team they will be facing. I hate to spoil it, but that's my prediction. Anyway, I hope that the Thunder will continue to play like this, and TBH,

It was mesmerizing how OKC quickly transformed into a playoff team after Westbrook was traded. I expected their rebuilding phase to take time, but it seems they've already reached a successful stage. The primary catalyst for OKC's current success is undoubtedly SGA. He plays effortlessly and consistently produces MVP-level numbers.

Acknowledging that the OKC team is still young, it's challenging to fully trust them when facing teams with a consistent playoff presence. Yet, similar to the Sacramento Kings, I believe this team has genuine potential. This season is a crucial stage for them to prove their legitimacy despite their youth.

I might vote on Chet Holmgren as my Rookie of the year over Wembanyama. Cheesy

I'm with you on that.

Also for sure at the end of his current contract he might break more record so for sure we can see more greatness and we should enjoy it since once this guy retires we might don't see a same like him. Lebron might get that 42k-43k point miles stone but above 40k is already fine since this is already hard to break by any current player .

Given that Kareem's record stood for almost 39 years, LeBron's record is unlikely to be broken by anyone after his retirement. By the way, Durant currently has 27,3k points and is ranked second on the all-time scoring list among current players. Even if we assume that Durant performs until the end of his career as well as he is performing now, he still won't be able to catch up to LeBron.
For other players, that record would obviously be out of reach.

I find it unlikely that Durant will surpass LeBron. Durant has the ability to generate at least 30 points per game, showing his greatness as a true scorer. However, his past injury issues have significantly impacted his production. If I recall correctly, he was sidelined for the entire first season with the Nets, and there were subsequent instances of prolonged absences due to injuries. While I'm currently pleased to see Durant playing at his old level, there's an underlying concern that he might face injuries again, potentially causing problems for the Suns.

On the other hand, LeBron has demonstrated the ability to care for his body. Perhaps luck has also been on his side, as he hasn't encountered significant problems with injuries. This factor makes it challenging for Durant to surpass LeBron in terms of sustained production.

Yeah somehow he have good and understanding teammates that can play with the role the coach set. But that's not enough since they also need to step up because nothing gonna happen with them if they continue to lose and it mentally distract Wemby especially all fans are watching him play and follow his progress. But I believe that Chet will win the ROTY this season since between two comparison he is much consistent player than Wemby and OKC is doing so good this season.
If there is a improvement, I think it will be more on Wemby as it's obvious that he is a work in progress and being experiment by the great coach Pop. And if I'm not mistaken, in the first 5-6 games he was just used sparingly, maybe trying to avoid the kid from getting injured.

And although he is great, he is still raw as you watch him play. That's one advantage of him though, he can and will developed in the next couple of years and he will really be look scary. Both Chet and Wemby has a lot of potential but it will be a very close race for the ROY.

Provably more improvement will come on Wemby side since he's so lucky that he's been part of Spurs since we all know that Coach Spo is great upon developing a player. What plays he set is all for Wemby since he want to see on how they can totally use him in court. But right now its just they can't get the best result since they are losing to much and I think that's part of the process.

Wemby is really great we can see that and for his performance shown where there's a downside I can say its normal for a player playing on new environment which have more though competition. But once he adjust and follow what the coach teach and set plays for sure Wemby became more better player.

Looks like we have a day off from NBA games as the league lets its players celebrate Turkey Day here in the United States. Plenty of NBA drama to keep up with on social media though as the Oklahoma City Thunder are dealing with Josh Giddy apparently having a relationship with a 16 year old girl. His career may now be toast.

How about Scott Foster and CP3 again,

And obviously, this two has a beef years ago that only players knows, but this beef seems to be very personal, as Paul say that Scott mentions his sons,

https://twitter.com/legendz_nba/status/1727812676347183524

Quote
LEAKED Audio Of Chris Paul Arguing With Scott Foster👀:

Paul: “In the way? I was in the way? That’s bullsh*t!

Foster: “No, that’s not bullsh*t. Enough”

Paul: “Get the f*ck out of here with that”

Later, CP3 called out Foster for mentioning his son: “He’s talking about my son!”

CP3 struggled when Foster officiated his games; his statistics does not look appealing. While this may feel personal, CP3 must acknowledge that Foster's role is to officiate. If he has concerns, addressing them professionally and filing a complaint is the appropriate course of action. He can't say something that would affect the team's chances of winning, that's being unprofessional and selfish at the same time.

Yes, but you can't discount the fact that when Foster is officiating, chances of CP3 and regardless of what teams he play, he is going to lose that one. And it's pretty obvious by now that something between him and Scott Foster have been brewing on for years already.

He can go to file and complaint, but I don't think it will have any weight though, unless they really find sufficient evidence against their experience referee.

So for us, it's better to bet against CP3 if Foster will be officiating, just saying.

Thank you, bro. But we don't have proof that this is a fact.
Anyway, based on their conversation before the thrown-out, I think CP3 is just fighting his case the first time and it got hot and I believe CP3 did say something not appropriate after Scott Foster turned his back on the first technical foul. That could be it, or maybe not. We ain't sure and I doubt they will let the masses know about it.
The boiling history of these two, I don't think it can be fixed unless one retires. That's when peace will happen. This is actually not their work, it's the social media and basketball analysts that made the issue worse. They keep on posting about CP3 always losing when Foster is the official and up until now it is a never-ending story.

I just hope he won't be suspended for that. Warriors is already in a bad situation, without him and Draymond it will be worse.

I agree with you in terms of development, coach Pop might not have the perfect pieces to back up Wemby as for now, but it's a continuous development
and there's always improvement that coach Pop may give Wemby.

If there's no big-time trades that will take place this season, I guess they just want Wemby to be more familiar with the way NBA works.

Let's see what the plan would be for Wemby and how he will establish his career while playing inside this league.

Obviously, his time has not come yet and he will be just making some progress this season. obviously, this isn't bad at all and surely he is taking his time to learn some new strategies that could fit him well without exaggerating and hurting himself physically in the process. Just like any other NBA stars in the fast such as Shaq and other big men, they weren't able to show that they were a championship team in their rookie years but rather they used that opportunity to catch up and adapt and then dominate the league with their unique build.

NBA basketball is back in action today after the Thanksgiving Day break. Not too much excitement today though. A couple of not so interesting games on ESPN and a couple games that should be blowouts. The Bucks should be able to easily take down the Wizards and the Suns should be able to handle the Grizzlies. Not much in the way of odds for either though.

Wemby is at Spurs, Coach is Pop, not Spo (probably Miami coach?) but yeah he is good at developing players too. I think the biggest issue Wemby will have could be physical, not about his game because he is already a great player even at this age and the more he plays the more time he will have to be even better so that will not be an issue for him.

As long as he can build a body, and keep on trying his best, he will be fine. This isn't about putting on muscle, look at Durant, dude is still a "weak" player when you look at him, but look at his legs back when he joined and look at his legs now, dude knew that he needed to have a better core and he did that, he is doing amazing thanks to that, Wemby could find what would help him and do that too.

Yeah, too tall and a bit lanky, needed more muscle specially in his lower leg, but this could take out his skills though and it should take sometime for him to develop what the Spurs are envisioning him to be. Do they want him to be Giannis like? or just like KD, who didn't put up muscles but developed his game?

As long as he can build a body, and keep on trying his best, he will be fine. Might be good in legs or the lower body because players are "prone" to injuries. Kawhi too developed his lower body in the last 2-3 years after his season ending injuries. So again, let the Spurs develop his potential, his physical and then let the game come to him as he will get more experience in the league.

It is just the start of the season I think Victor Wembanyama will likely have improvements and Coach Gregg Popovich will likely have his way of getting into his players sure that was Gregg Popovich's way of training his team, and because of Wemby's talent as a player I think Popovich will likely attain his greatness Wembanyama on the team and Wemby as well will have a great experience with the team,

For me, Victor Wembanyama is doing great even though he had a shooting slump on some of the days he played it was really nothing because his stats were really great, and as long as he listened to the great Popovich, for sure he will attain greatness, and in Wembanyama's case because of his body build Kevin Durant is likely have a near resemblance when it comes to his body physique,

I think KD and Wemby can be just genetically skinny, cannot get too muscled. Not sure where in Africa exactly but some of the people from the Africa continent always had slim legs, no matter how much they consume calories or work out, someone correct me if I'm wrong. I hope I could make myself clear(no offense to anybody) I think KD genetically has slim legs and Wemby is also like that. They can have the best workouts and nutrition in the world but they will not get buffed. What Wemby can do is, like Durant, just work out to get stronger to avoid injury. He can't do what Giannis has done.

I'd be careful putting him up against the likes of Kevin Durant.  He is one of the greatest of "our time" to lace them up.  The kid has skills but let's just all sit back and see how it plays out before we start annoying him.  I do worry at 7' 4" tall and as mobile as he is that he is going to go through his share of injuries.  Just hopefully he stays away from the brutal knee injuries that wreck big men's careers.

I also don't think that Durant can do it, if I'm not mistaken, he is in the top 10 already in scoring, but I doubt that he can still play at high level basketball just to chase that record of Lebron. And as you have said, there are seasons wherein he missed a lot of games in the Nets uniform after his injury from the Warriors.

On the other hand, LeBron has demonstrated the ability to care for his body. Perhaps luck has also been on his side, as he hasn't encountered significant problems with injuries. This factor makes it challenging for Durant to surpass LeBron in terms of sustained production.

Genetics and then he put it up one notch by taking care of his money, and investing on them with millions every year just to be in this shape even at his age. So yeah, that record will not be touch again for decades.

And we have an upset as the Magic defeated the Boston Celtics at their home court. It was really close in the first 2 quarters, Celtics taking a 10 point lead by the Magic keeps themselves in the game with the 2 Wagner and Banchero.

But in the 3rd quarter, when the Magic took the lead, they never look back. Although the Celtics is a good team, they try to mount a rally and put pressure on the Magic. But they responded with good defense, ball rotation and finding the right men.

Also even if they have the lead and already winning, they keep on scoring as the they need to score more to be able to make it in the next round for this in-season tournament format.

It is famously known that Lebron spent 1 million dollars per year on things that helped him keep his body in shape, this was of course nearly 10 years ago, it must be a few million dollars a year by now. From high end cryotherapy stuff, to include simple to think about stuff like chef and nutritionist and all that. This means that this dude spent over 20-30 million dollars in his career just to be able to play like this at his age, because it was all to keep his body going further. Unless there is a big injury or something, wouldn't you be able to say that he could continue for another 5 years? I mean his Lakers years weren't all that 70+ games per season, so he keeps his body fresh just in case, but I can say that he could play 50-60 games a year for at least another 5 years unless he has some serious injury.

With the way he's playing the game I can that he can still continue to play, though not sure if 5 more years is still possible but after this season
For me, he can still play, though a major injury if ever might stop him and force him to retire.

He is doing really well in that investment, knowing that the longer he can play, he can earn more and his stardom will also continue, unlike with other superstars.

LeBron has managed to keep his career on top, and still having that attention both negative and positive is still giving him exposures that
keep him on top!

No Kevin Durant tonight or Bradley Beal for the Phoenix Suns but they still managed to blow out the Grizzlies by 21 points. Devon Booker stepped up and scored 40 to get it done. You love to see it. I hope they get a chance to get a couple dozen games in with KD and Beal to go with Booker before the playoffs so they can get their game together.

It's a great team to watch. I believe Beal now has to prove himself if he truly deserves to be part of the big 3. From what I've observed, whenever either Durant or Booker is out, as long as one of them plays, the team remains competitive. Durant could use some rest, given that he has been carrying the team in the previous games. Currently, the tandem of Durant and Booker is clicking at 100%. It remains to be seen if Beal will fully recover and join the mix, and whether the chemistry will continue to work.
