Lakers slip back to 4th place because of their 3 game skid without Lebron.

It looks like the Lakers are having a hard time without LeBron, and I think they can slip to 5th or even 6th place in the standings by the end of the season. By the way, the Lakers are now playing versus the Nuggets, and I wouldn't be surprised if they lose again, considering that Luka is also absent tonight.

You are right, I haven't watch the games, but when I check the scoreboard: 131-126 for the Nuggets. So the struggle continues, as the only option they have is Austin Reaves who scored 37 big points and then rookie sharp shooter Dalton Knecht.

I wonder though if there are sports betting sites that cover Bronny to score at least 2+ points in this game. It could be a good odds as well as player props as he did score 5 points in this game. And with this loss, Lakers could be in danger in going down to 6 or lower and could be fighter in the play-in if they don't win their remaining games as Warriors and the Wolves are very hot right now.

That's possible if both warriors and wolves continue to win their remaining games while without Luka and LeBron the Lakers continue to struggle winning game. It's just amazing Austin as he really fought well just a unmanned squad against the Nuggets, though both him and Knecht keep the distance close  but not enough to snatch a game to win.

Yes, the teams' results in the Western Conference standings are quite close, and the difference in win percentage between them is relatively small. However, I believe the Lakers won't drop below 6th place in the standings, meaning they will make the playoffs, bypassing the play-in tournament.
Overall, it doesn't matter if the Lakers finish the regular season in 6th or 2nd place. The only thing that matters is getting all their players healthy for the playoffs.

Are they tanking or is Embiid just not the superstar they thought he was? When the guy is healthy he can play, but how often is he really healthy? Look at Team USA, he didn't do anything for the Olympic team in the Summer Olympics. I would try to trade the guy if I was Philly, but I doubt they do. They seem to love the guy even though they will not get a ring as long as he is the big man for the team. Build around Maxey is what I would be trying to do.

And with that, they keep on their playoff aspirations for now. And if I'm not mistaken, we just had 10 games left in the regular season.

That's what I'm talking about a few days ago. One point they're at the top 2 spot, but a few consecutive games of losing can put them below. Now they're at the 5th spot and 2 games below Denver which is currently at the 2nd spot. Like you said as well, the Warriors are rolling. Ever since they got Butler, they're 13-2, and if they continue to play like this, I will not be surprised if they will reach 3rd or even the 4th spot since they're only 4.5 games behind the 4th seed. The good thing is he will be back against Phoenix which is currently one of the struggling teams.

People got amazed on that 3 pointer made by Bronny, but people got more amaze on the performance given by Knecht and Reaves since both of them score 30+ which totally give a problem to Nuggets. They almost got the heads of Nuggets despite the absence of their stars and imagine what's going to happen there if Lebron and Luka plays.

TBH, I don't know if these people are GENUINELY amazed by it or not. They might just be cheering because they wanted to, but they know that a mere three-point will not change everything. I don't know if I'm the only one feeling it, but Bronny is becoming a meme around the league because of how many looked at him. The other rookie Knecht is way more deserving for a better contract and yet, his contract is way lesser than that of Bronny.

Reaves is a good and reliable shooter as well, and the same as Knecht, so I will not be surprised if these 2 players will step up on offense when playoffs come.

I think that's what the NBA is investigating, it looks like they are tanking for this season, and doesn't like to play George or Maxey. Joel is injured and it's another season ending for them. Joel is a former MVP, so he is still a superstar. But the problem is that he is very fragile for a big men.

He seems to be still the franchise player, so I'm not sure if they are will to trade him and rebuild for now. Maxey though is very young and if I'm not mistaken, he had 50 point game this season. It's just very unfortunate that he also got injured.

First time I saw him doing that Curry celebration, but that just shows how happy he was with their win.

And the Knicks are really strong, as even without their best player, they’re still finding ways to win. In this game, even when they were down by double digits, they managed to claw their way back and give the Warriors a scare.

The Rockets are healthy again, especially now that VanVleet is back in the lineup. I noticed that when he was injured, the Rockets struggled, but they still managed to maintain a good ranking which is a good sign for them moving forward.

Lakers is struggling ever since Lebron is out due to injury while recently Luka suffered injury too that makes their losing streak continues. They even acquired Paul George that is injury favorite to combine with Embiid to warm the bench while they can acquire more promising young player that will develop with Maxey since they are already on the building phase.

The Los Angeles Lakers are playing against my Phoenix Suns today in a couple of hours.  With no LeBron the Suns might actually have a chance.  I didn't expect the Suns to be the team out of these two that had horrible roster problems but here we are.  The Suns want to trade Beal but he won't let them because of his trade clause.  They want to trade Durant, but he won't do a sign and trade or commit to a team so nobody will trade for him.  The only player they are getting interest in is Devon Booker, and they don't want to trade him...

There really isnt anything shocking.  He is in his mid 30s, relied somewhat on his athleticism amd has been hurt for portions of the last 4 years.  This 200mil 4 year contract was brutal from the moment philly offered that to him.  Should have been a 2 year deal max or just hard pass otherwise.  Between him and embiid not playing amd both in their 30s philly is gonna suck for a bit
