they want btc to stay decentralized (not happening) and live up to satoshi's dream.  they hate centralization (good on them) and all the gimmicky centralized solutions being built on top of btc so that it can scale and have anonymous and instant transaction. unfortunately btc was not built for those type of decentralized solutions like DASH. i'm guess the inability to make darkwallet decentralized is why peter gave up on that project, amongst other issues. same goes for gmax and his centralized btc based coinjoin solution.
