Hey everybody,

My name is Seth and I've recently started doing customer support for BitInstant. You may see me in this forum trying to help people out from time to time.

I'd like to add the BitInstant logo to my profile but I can't seem to at the moment. I may need to get whitelisted first. Not sure.
If Yankee can confirm that, I can whitelist you.

I've used BitInstant to transfer a cash deposit into MtGox.  Surprisingly, it was a hassle free process.

But I'm curious about withdrawals.  Say I want to take some of my investments back out of Mt. Gox to turn them back into USD cash, should I be doing it with BitInstant? Or should I set up a bank withdrawal?

I've used Bitinstant once and I went through hell with MoneyGram. I ended up visiting 3 different CVS stores and 1 Acme store. I ended up speaking with over 12 MoneyGram reps at 3 different levels of service. No one could get the correct amount. Since that zipzap fee is added on, everytime I went to pay and the cashier entered the amount I was told to tell her it always came back not the correct amount and the order never went through. Once that happens you need to start all over again with MoneyGram so they can submit the order back to the terminal so the cashier can then try to process the order again. I would guess my order was processed about 25 times that day from 6 different employees. Even when the cashier was on the phone with MoneyGram they still couldn't do it properly. Not only until 6 hours later, at the end of the day someone got it correct somehow and the payment went through. What was I to do here? Moneygram asked me if the fee was included and all I did was follow what the paperwork said from Bitinstant. There must be an easier method here? Besides cash deposit at one of these stores, how else could one buy bitcoins with Bitinstant?

Hey, on the slip there are instructions to the merchant which include exactly what they need to type in.

The top reason for challenges at MoneyGram is that the Amount to Pay is entered incorrectly. The clerk needs to enter the Amount to Pay the payment slip with $0 MoneyGram fees - if they enter the $3.95 fee in the fee column, the payment won't pass the validation check.

Ive sent numerous emails to Bitinstant support over the last day and a half and no response.

OrderID: 02fed7a2-edd6-4336-bacd-a623ac6632d2

Looks like it was never sent to the Blockchain. This is the 3rd transaction in a row.

As I said we all followed what was on the paperwork and I had a very hard time. It is easy for someone to say follow the paper on a forum here but when you are in the store, dealing with clerks not knowing what to do that did follow what I gave them and still can't figure things out it is quite different. Even with the clerk on the phone with money gram they still had problems. Just from that one experience makes me hesitate completely from trying it all over again.

Yeah just gotta remember to say the fee is zero, they are asking for the moneygram fee not the zip zap fee. the zip zap fee is included in the cash total you pay. moneygram fee is zero. I had the same problem dealing with moneygram clerks when starting out.

Yankee - PMd you, I had a problem with order execution failed now my $$ is in no man's land
