don't see mt.gox as an option on bitinstant anymore.
I'm guessing they pulled it temporarily to catch up with orders and such.

If BitInstant can't scale up as Bitcoin becomes a world class currency, then they deserve to fail.

Me personally?  I am finally doing what I should have done - I am verifying my MtGox account.  Then I can fund directly from Dwolla and won't have to pay 20 per $1000.  This is horse-shit.

Yeah me too - would be up nearly 700.00 if it were truly instant.  You and I got our timing right - it was Bitinstant that dropped the ball.  I was told they have over 1000 open trouble tickets and they hired one more customer service person (I guess that makes six people working at Bitinstant).

Mine is still not resolved - told them "sometime next week would be ok - damage done."

What the holy ****? Can I at least get an email from someone saying that my ticket is in the Queue? I haven't heard back from anyone at bitinstant in 3 weeks.

This should be simple:
a) I have a Moneygram Receipt saying I SENT CASH to bitinstant.
b) I have an email confirmation from bitinstant saying they got my money. That email claims that the bitcoins were sent to 17Ra2DFtB8o7W8CByJ3k3xk1K5NbaaFSkf.
c) Anyone can look at the blockchain - the 18.52793 BTC were NEVER sent to 17Ra2DFtB8o7W8CByJ3k3xk1K5NbaaFSkf.

What else can I do? I've been missing the bitcoins since FEBRUARY 12 - I can be patient and wait if I just got an email... SOMETHING from customer support. I've been writing and getting nothing back.

WHERE ARE MY BITCOINS, BITINSTANT?

I MY BITCOINS ARE *STILL* MISSING for OrderID: dfa0163f-84ac-4f65-9f1b-ed36393be6e7. {'BTC': 18.527930000000001} - This order has not been completed - despite an email from bitinstant saying the order was completed on FEBRUARY 12!

this was a payment that should have gone directly to a bitcoin address.

I have emailed customer support multiple times on this issue. I have yet to receive an answer as to why the coins were never sent to me, just emails from ladesk saying my ‘funds will be deposited within the next business day.’  I have emailed customer support on:
February 13
February 18
February 19
February 21
February 23
February 25
February 26
March 2
March 6
March 7
March 11
March 12

This is incredibly frustrating. I have the receipt from where I used moneygram to transfer the cash to bitinstant. I have a ‘confirmation’ email from bitinstant. But the coins were NEVER sent to the address.

*SHORT SUMMARY*
On February 12, 13, and 15  I made 6 transactions total through bitinstant. 5 of them went through. for the 6th, I received email confirmation, but the coins were NOT transferred. There is NO record of this 6th order on the blockchain.

*MORE DETAILED SUMMARY*
I made the following orders on bitinstant:

OrderID: 2fac918a-0b2c-4fb4-8337-d38e05e43946
OrderID: 8162013c-f5c1-4612-a3de-a63ba4fc8281
OrderID: 2f5ad484-ea19-4c09-bd0a-065fdd760f9f
OrderID: 16e871ff-0552-45c7-b6e2-c4bb12e78510
OrderID: 5caa36be-2d7c-4145-a810-ceacf6018fb0 (“5caa”) (this order initially resulted in a link to an empty coinapult account, but the issue was resolved)

STILL MISSING:
OrderID: dfa0163f-84ac-4f65-9f1b-ed36393be6e7 (“dfa0”)

I *DID* get an email claiming that the funds for “dfa0” were transferred, but the tech support email referenced a transaction on the blockchain that was the result of the “5caa” bitinstant order.

the “5caa” bitinstant order initially had a problem with it as well, but that issue HAS been resolved. (support ticket [AEN-JUNJV-733] )

Here are the same 5 *CLEARED* transactions in greater detail, with links to the transactions on blockchain.info. You can verify that every one of these transactions is related to a bitinstant order - and NONE of these are linked to the missing bitcoins.

Hopefully, this information will be enough for you to send the missing 18.52793 BTC to 17Ra2DFtB8o7W8CByJ3k3xk1K5NbaaFSkf.

Just a heads up

Mine was resolved..

It appears BITINSTANT is just having problems with there code, My issue has been resolved within about 4 hours.

ZipZap -> MTGOx

Must be some really complicated code to take almost two months to fix when it was working just fine before.  Also it's very curious how the code seems to work, but only sometimes.  The other day they processed $50,000 worth of btc-e transactions in a matter of a few minutes.  Then the code stopped working the moment they only had $83 left.  Now that is some weird code.  It couldn't possibly be that they are using funds from new orders to process old ones.  It has to be technical problems because they have told us so.

This is really messed up because they have been all over the forums helping other people during this time. I remember you posting for the last several weeks. I wonder if it has to do with the increase in coin prices. Those 18BTC are now worth $1300 more than when ordered them. On the flip side they have done you a favor by holding your coins but on the other side they might not want to take a $1300 loss and that is why your order is still pending.

I think this

http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9237979/Bitcoin_exchange_faces_DDoS_even_as_the_digital_currency_surges?source=rss_news_analysis&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+computerworld%2Fs%2Ffeed%2Ftype%2Fnewsanalysis+%28Computerworld+News+Analysis%29

might be responsible for the failed Mt.Gox orders last night. Mt.Gox was under a DDOS attack which caused the price to drop form $95-$70. So I would suspect that bitinstant is not to blame for last night.

Do you have an Order issue?

Hi Charlie,

I was nice and patient for the first 8 or 9 failed transfers - Rachel and Seth were nice about it, but it's always 10 to 30 hours to get a transfer put through.

(All good pre - December 2012 - within seconds.   Nobody explains why they are all failing - just "I'm sorry, I put it through.")

YES, I have an issue.  I transferred $3000 20 hours ago. And I sent at least 8 requests stating how long this is taking.

Yes, see if you can put it through - but ALSO clue us in as to why this is happening (transfers have failed in times of high volume, low volume, all times of the day and night).  If you are interested I can pull up all the screenshots of all the transfers - and send you all the responses as to when they were manually processed.

Hey,

Thanks for being an awesome customer of ours!

The reason your order failed is because you violated our TOS by transferring over $500 limit, you sent $3000

Under the confirm box it says "limits 500 for all transfers, 1000 for cash bank deposits, 2000 per per day, minimal order 20"

If you email me confirmation you still want this processed, I can process it.

BitInstant,

I made 3 transactions using the MoneyGram -->ZipZap-->BitInstant-->Mt.Gox method yesterday but am only seeing the funds of 2 transactions in my Mt.Gox account.

The 3 transactions are;

18fd101a-2682-4b1b-8543-910fb6a2d88a

3a9419a2-9c02-41a8-b3d9-37a900fe4cb6

ac18e731-6bff-4277-8199-c8d73d06468d (This is the one I'm thinking didn't show up at Mt.Gox)

Thanks

P.S. I had a couple friends have 100% success at the same time my transactions took place so it appears to be random. Hopefully it gets fixed, we love the convenience!

Been trying to make a purchase via Bitinstant  for hours..

Cash local Cvs   to  Bitcoin address     put in all info..  500$
Shows correct.. Then sends me to INFO screen correct..Then over to ZIPZAP..
 Verify Your Order

    Merchant
    BitInstant

    Order Total:
    $500.00

Email is correct and Phone is correct..

Zipzap Show's no locations available for  TN.

Sorry, but no payment centers have been found near the address you entered.

I know there's plenty of locations. I've done this twice before..

The maps are messed up.. I can even put in New york  and no locations.

I even tried going to
https://www.cashpayment.com/            click on find locations i get nothing also ..

(For the record.. those location maps are cool.. but having a manual linked directory also  would avoid this google map/ api issues..)

I'm stuck help... I need to close on a purchase..

Sorry to jack this thread, but I never rec'd a response about this question, I asked twice.

"I used my "account no." (ex: M1234567) because that's verbatim what is written on the BitInstant site. What they're really looking for is the EXCHANGE ACCOUNT, which is a 6-digit number or your MtGox username. I guess this is the reason why I still don't have my money, and it frustrates me.

FYI if you don't mind spending a bit more you can buy bitcoins on ebay. There are a few reputable sellers that will have coins to your btc address within 1 hour."

Here's my question:

It seems crazy, that if true, this isn't made clear on the site! I've previously used the account number displayed on the Mt. Gox homepage more times than I care to count, so if now something has changed it amazes me they (BitInstant) have not provided clarification.

I guess for now I'll continue to use my MP to BTC guy for 5% ...

Kind Regards
David

Dude the limits he referred to have been in place for a very long time, maybe you were getting them through but you shouldn't have been.
