Hey guys,
I just started mining DCR and I have already got some questions.
I use cgminer 3.7.2 which shows me a speed of 1,3 Gh/s but my pool says only ~ 0,5 Gh/s. There are different ports for different difficultys. I'm in difficulty 1 - should I change to something higher?
I get a lot of "unknown-work" shares... that's not good I think - anything I can do here? I had 35 accepted and 26 unaccpted... changed to diff. 8 now which is shown as diff 1,04K but as it seems no difference - still unknown-work shares...
I'm looking for a mining calculator - can anyone provide me a site with a calculator?
I have 1,3 Gh/s and i use diff 4. For the "unknown-work" try adding "--scan-time 2 --queue 0" at the end of your conf file

Burn Yes - burn energy. But also create a lot of DCR I hope. Btw I have got a little problem with my miner. I use cgminer and I get a message "Pool 0 can not provide work fast enough" like every 30 seconds. What's the problem here?

A quick update on the situation with the stake pool. An issue in v0.0.6 meant the stake pool's 1-of-2 multisig addresses were getting rejected by mainnet's IsStandard function, which is not used on testnet. This led to every dcrd's mempool rejecting the votes from stake pool - and not being mined. All mining pool operators were contacted immediately and were extremely helpful and cooperative in upgrading to v0.0.7 which resolved the issue. Unfortunately, some miners have not yet upgraded, so some votes are still missed, however, the majority of votes are being mined and increasing steadily.
As the stake pool is operated by c0, PoW miners will be compensated for lost subsidy up to March 11th, 2016 (06:00 AM UTC) and PoS voters will be compensated for all missed votes or until the project is successful in getting miners responsible for these blocks being solved to upgrade to v0.0.7 or later. Compensation will not come from bring-up DCR nor will it come from the development subsidy. DCR will be purchased for the purpose of compensation. Thank you for your patience and understanding. If we continue to work together as a community as we have on this issue, Decred will continue to improve!

I have got a problem.
I use Pool Suprnova and my miner tells me "Pool 0 not providing work fast enough" all few seconds and the hashrate decreses by 50% and climbs again.
That's super annyoing and it costs a lot of hashpower.
I changed the Port to another diff. but still the same problem.
Is it a problem with the pool or with my miner?
I use cgminer 3.7.2 on Windows 7 64 bit.

sent PM as well, but have you tried another pool? Would be a good test to confirm if it's you or the pool.
