It is egregious that all open trades were not cancelled for this announcement.

In the future - if there is one for Bitfunder, announce this by broadcast email to the users and cancel all open trades.
Well Ukyo is known for not beeing the most competent. But after BTCT shutdown (which had exactly the same problems) he should have learnt his lesson.

It makes it compliant with SEC regulations, as they would no longer be considered targeting US investors with their unregistered securities.
complete bullshit

the fact that they allowed US residents/citizens to purchase unregistered securities in the past makes them non-compliant.  You can't sell a bunch of securities, then force the US citizens to give up their shares at a fraction of the cost, and claim to be SEC compliant.

If anything this makes it more likely a US person will now be contacting the SEC in an attempt to get their funds back. This will not play out well, the US is full of people who will complain to the government and file lawsuits.

Best of luck Ukyo

HEY UKYO.

HOW ABOUT WE FIGURE OUT HOW TO MAKE GOOGLE 2 AUTH STABLE.

I have had to re-enable 2-factor auth about 10 times in a month, and now im finally locked out of my account.

THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE, 2 FACTOR IS THE MOST IMPORTANT SECURITY FEATURE AND YOU CANT GET IT TO WORK PROPERLY? WHAT IS THIS

What the fuck is the point of 2 factor if the keys are changing on the account every day?
honestly what the fuck!!!! Send me an email address I can get support ASAP.

I need to be signed in to put in a ticket and your password recovery only works for passwords.

I have never had an issue with 2 factor, your clock on your phone is probably slightly off causing the wrong key to appear sometimes.

Maintenance in progress. Thank you for your patience.

Thats it he's shutting the site down.

Ok its back up.

EDIT: grammar and the site was only down for a few minutes, but I suggest that Bitfunder being down for any amount of time at the moment is very unprofessional.

He fixed a bug with trades filling themselves. (And I hope I get a refund for the fees I paid, Ukyo).

Yea I posted copies of the trades in another thread, annoying as I thought I was selling for a profit.  Definitely some fees to be reversed.

https://bitfinex.com/?refcode=UInJLQ5KpA <-- leveraged trading of BTCUSD, LTCUSD and LTCBTC (long and short) - 10% discount on fees for the first 30 days with the refcode

[23:36] <dexX7> so the important question. were fees payed for "non executed orders"?
[23:36] <Lennix1> yes
[23:36] <Namworld> Yes

Either you own the bitcoins(private keys) or you don't. However with moneroj, nobody knows what you own.
Secure. Private. Untraceable.

I'm aware of that, again, bitcoin will make the process of proving that impossible, using an anonymous way of communication and a mixer.

The burden of proof lies with the exchange, not the SEC. The exchange (or asset issuer) would have to prove they take measures against selling to US customers, directly or through a proxy. What you are suggesting would make it impossible for them to prove that. That may or may not get the exchange of the hook, it sure as hell wont get you off the hook. But perhaps you have a better legal team than bitfunder and dont mind taking on the SEC ?

Wow, puppet giving lessons on burden of proof. Nice.

Can you please lower the points required to gain "verified" status on WeExchange?
Not that I don't wish to comply, but I have lost some documents required like my birth certificate, I also don't have a driver license, I don't own a car.
And I find that there is no option to upload my identity card, that is, I believe the most important identification in most country, should be worth 50 points.
The best I could get is 90 points(passport+credit card+utility bill), sadly, I may have to say bye to Bitfunder forever.

My guess is that it is an Americanism, as they do not have identity cards, but driver licenses has been providing that somewhat.

Thats irony right? How their identity requirements are very much influenced by the American way yet the entire point is to not allow American people.

Relax poeple. I can bet that there will be many proxy services for US citizens. It's just a matter of time.

Under development Modular UPGRADEABLE Miner (MUM). Looking for investors.
Changing one PCB with screwdriver and you have brand new miner in hand... Plug&Play, scalable from one module to thousands.

Bitfunder through weexchange will be demanding citizenship papers and such. Proxies will not suffice.

So with the new crowdfunding laws coming into effect, will Bitfunder resume US operations?

If not I am certain a competitor will rise and take this space.
