No it can't...even if bitcoin goes mainstream and been adopted by many countries, the change of replacing money is still very small..It's like dreaming of something unbelievable to happen, that's too ambitious....It's good enough for bitcoin to be recognized as currency..
That is really too ambitious to think that bitcoin can replace the money that we know now, bitcoin is just another currency and will stay that way just like other fiat currency out there.

That's true and even if bitcoin gets on mainstream we will still need fiat to take care of our spendings, as we will not be able to spend it everywhere we want.

Bitcoin is virtual. Third world countries especially in African part and poor ones will not feel the benefits and advantages if bitcoin will replace the current money system.
Just enjoy what bitcoin is giving us today. Fiat are importants. Bitcoin is not meant to replace the fiat.

Bitcoin is money, so it cant replace it but I think it will not replace Dollar soon because there are a lot of people that is still using Dollar so you can replace it now around this time. But of course there will be a time that it will replace Dollar but you dont know what kind of money because you are not sure if Bitcoin is doing well in the future.

I do not think this is gonna happen if I'm honest because the bitcoin itself is just to small compared with other currency's all over the globe. Another reason why it would not happen is because too many people are still depending on the normal currency's they cannot step over. Overall I''m thinking that it will not happen at all, even on a long term in will not happen in my eyes.

Yeah I think that there will be higher percentage of people who will be more comfortable in using fiat as they are using it since its inception and honestly speaking people resist change.

No I do not think this could happen if I'm honest because the currency's of now a days are just too big compared with the small bitcoin itself. Maybe in the future in about 20 years but than its even the question most likely not, its just not realistic.

To most peoples eyes, they feel bitcoin is a lottery? lol. I mean I can understand if we were back when mt.gox past events made them think that way.. but yeah. People are really delusional on seeing everyone accepting bitcoin anytime soon if paper money can offer the same value with less hassle. Only cause bitcoin doesnt have a physical form.

I can not see bitcoin replacing money at this time. With all the turmoil with the current fiat system, people don't tend to make hasty decisions when it comes to moving their money when there is doubt in the air. Atleast I wouldn't. To make a rash logical decision you need a stable system, which bitcoin is not at this current time and I think it never will until the fiat system is turned on it's head and completely anulled. That is my two cents. Take it as you may

People will still use both currency in the future and bitcoin cant really replace fiat because countries wont allow that.

due to decentralized nature of digital currencies, there is no significant upfront cost for a government to switch to digital currencies.. physical money needs constant printing and monitoring.. but bitcoin is financially and environmentally friendly.. even though it has more advantages, replacing money by bitcoin is a doubted one....

The practicality of that idea would require a big innovation in bitcoin wallet technology and a big mainstream adoption for real shops to get a motivation into using bitcoin as a checkout method, I think it's possible but would need allot of time.

you need miners anyway to sustain the network, so it does not come without cost, and to secure a new currency you need a massive hash, so don't compare it to the past history of bitcoin

Bitcoin will be used more in future but we won't see any decline in usage of paper money as fiat will always be used more by the people across the globe.

Yeah i agree with you, bitcoins and fiat can go well together, so why we need bitcoins to replaces the money ? Both are good and i think bitcoin can't replaces the money.
