Sell everything -are u stupid? No not at all .if u sell all ur stuff and the next day if ur country declares that bitcoins are illegal in ur country then u l be broke and u would not be able to do anything unless pray.
therefore needs to be an observation and rigorous analysis before selling all bitcoin or all fiat. one thing is certain that sell or use all of the funds is a risky thing
so make sure you've figured it all before taking the next step

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

If you ever enter in to a buy or sell situation without completely weighing all of the risks you're taking, you are doing something very, very wrong. You have to consider everything that you might gain or lose, the market situation, whether or not a correction could be on the way, and a ton more things. People who try to trade of the stock market have to deal with this same thing.

I think as long as the benefit is not a stupid step, we need to step it up for a change, if we want to succeed sometimes our step will be considered stupid by others. But with full confidence, we must continue to believe could be successful with stupid step.

This can be one of the most difficult things an investor is going to face the naysayers, sometimes you need to trust your own judgment despite what other people may say about it, many of my friends don’t believe in bitcoin and yet here I am.

If it is illegal then it will still have value. Drugs are illegal but they still have value on the free market, right? The same with bitcoin. Besides, it is impossible for a country to completely shut down bitcoin, unless it shuts down all bitcoin users.

I think that it is a good idea to sell your fiat for bitcoins.

There is no bad thing if you are going to follow some predictions of other people. But it is our responsibility to make and implement our own decisions. And base on happening now it is not that good if we are going to sell everything as the price of bitcoin is increase the alt coins are falling and it is not either a good thing to consider selling those.

may sell everything now does not make a loss. Well, it can be said that the price of bitcoin is currently very high. sell 1 or 2 BTC probably will not make a loss, in fact it will make a profit. we do not know whether this price will last for quite a long time, but I am sure, the current price is still rising. if you patiently wait, then you might benefit more from today.

Its your life. Make your own game. Sell everything if you want. No one cares. Now we are at $900 barrier and still rising. $1000 barrier is still possible before chrismas. Its up to you if you are going to sell everything youve got. Besides you are already have earning if you sell it now. But i suggest sell only your 50% of your holdings because the price may reach its all time high and more.

Taking some profit is a good idea, but in the end who knows where the bitcoin price will be next year. I would not sell all my holdings for some quick profit. It is the same with stocks, you don't want to sell your winners you want to cut your loses instead. Imagine you sold your Google, Apple or Amazon holdings after hitting the first one time high.

The best thing, according to me would be to sell 30 to 40% of your bitcoin and buy into other top 20 to 30 coins as per the largest market cap and hold on to them for the years to come.
You will be able to diversify and reduce your risks.
That strategy is good because as of right now the bitcoin’s price is going very high and it is still going up , and the higher it is the less people will be able to get their hands on so their best option is to switch the top altcoin that are close to bitcoin , because they will be easier to mine to get and the exchange rate will go higher the higher the price of bitcoin will.

That is assuming that somebody has the hardware and or knowledge to mine the specific altcoin that is the flavor of the month. The problem with picking an altcoin is that the altcoins that are the most profitble to mine and or "day-trade" can be extremely volatile and even though you may profit a little bit from some coin. Then that coin will crowd out with miners and then you wouldn't be able to get such good profits.

The best way that I have seen to just hold money regardless of this "Sell-everything" mindset that people are talking about is to hold Bitcoin through this growth period and then once Bitcoin stabilizes a little then invest in a different coin in the end. However, we won't know what this coin will be until the bubble has ended.

I think you have to be patient in advance not to panic and rush to sell all of your bitcoin when prices are high, as they may be bitcoin prices will continue to rise and it makes you loss, keep quiet wait until the price stops moving and you can sell all your bitcoin

I guess there will not be any point that bitcoin will stop moving in its price levels. I believe it will keep on moving forward/ fluctuate at least for next 200 years. All the above we never need to sell our bitcoins, we are going to have our local shops accepting bitcoins so we can use bitcoins instead of converting them into fiats.

this is the most sound advice  in the whole thread
fiat currency is worthless paper that loses value year on year
get rid of it as fast as you can and buy something real like btc ,gold or land etc

almost anything is better than increasingly worthless fiat paper

If the statement you said at the end becomes true then none of us will need to sell our coins as we will be able to use them directly as we do use fiat in stores and shops for buying things and many other places, but maybe if we had the price dropping sometime then maybe we would think of selling them as they would have the same value in fiat after selling.

Bitcoin still consider as risky investation ( their value will decrease unexpectedly ) but in other side bitcoin can become valuable investment at one time for example, this moment, christmast on 2016 , bitcoin reach highest value since I knew bitcoin

My advice is keep most of your bitcoin as it will grow exponentially on 2019

Selling everything is not good at all and I think it can really let you lose a lot of profit when you do this right now.
you are right that selling bitcoin is not good for right now because bitcoin price going to rise too much faster and maximum people holding their bitcoin for the future and i am sure they will be get a big profit from bitcoin in the next year when bitcoin more rise its price .

The only time selling everything makes sense is when you're convinced that a major crash or correction is imminent, and you plan to buy back everything at lower prices. It doesn't matter if the investment is equities, bitcoin, gold, or another type of asset. Trying to call something like that is a crapshoot at best though. Market timing isn't a strategy I find to be compelling, and I don't believe anyone who claims they can do it. Unless you're Miss Cleo, of course.  Grin
How do we define a major crash? I guess we have one this year when bitfinex was hack, yet people still not selling, I guess we are a lot stronger now.

In the stock market, the index dropping by 10% is a correction. I would consider a 20% drop a major crash. I don't know if that's a technical indicator or not, but it's what I would consider a major crash.
