i dont know what "2" you mean, and what couch, as i mostly work in a computer chair at my desk. also, verge is open source software, and the verge blockchain wouldn't notice if any of the team "disappeared".

He said it cannot fail.

He also mentions the code in VERGE. If the code was weak, he certainly wouldn’t say "Verge cannot fail".

I don't have any of my coins in wallets. I keep them all in the exchange. Can someone please tell me why I should put them in a wallet as opposed to just leaving them on the exchange wallets? Thanks.

Because you do not own them. The exchange owns them. It can be hacked. It can go out of business. They can decide to close and keep the coins. Unless you have your own wallet where you control the private keys you don't really have any coins. Just a promise of coins from the exchange.
