I'm a very big supporter of this project and I think Waves will achieve great success in the years to come, but for now I'm going to protect my investment.. I do expect Waves to go up 10x at some point but if we're going back to 25k before then I won't just watch my BTC drop 20%, I'll sell and then buy back so I can gather more Waves - and I don't see why anyone else would either?

Anyone that is emotionally attached to this project in any way should probably take a step back and look at it realistically, if you are attached to any project in crypto it will be your main fuckup.

50,000 WAVES seem like a decent holding, so please do us proud WAVES! I'm sure you will

cryptos are not for holding, they are for trading. if you didnt get that, then you are not the 2 years around here to know that. at least 3 years of trading experience and 1 year with cryptos I would recommend for not losing money in the long way. Everyone is having luck for few times, the same with gambling. But 85% of people are losing everything they put into the pot to whales. And whales do not hold, they trade. If you want to hold then you are wrong here. Even btc you have to trade. Nothing is growing to the sky or rising the moon. nothing new here, but you have to say it as there are always newbies coming. Guess why? Yes, the others lost already their funds.   

Depends on the project. Yes, many projects/coins are better for trading... crypto is very volatile in general, but some tokens are aiming for mass distribution and thus require a long hold in order to see real returns. Inevitably the risk is always there... whether you hold or trade.

Exactly, many people burnt here seem to personally target the Waves team and I wonder if they will blame them for selling low when it spikes..

All the signs are there. Bagholder faithful declaring their happiness even though the price has tanked. Intermittent comparisons to ETH market cap. Sprinkling of phrases like "cheap coins"  and "great opportunity" and "this is crypto".

The delusion is strong in this thread. It is clear Polo will never list this coin because of Sasha's self indulgent behavior. Gateways are nowhere in sight. Daily volume becoming more and more anemic. The only activity in slack is Karl Karlson relentlessly slagging Incent like a pimp selling a whore at 4 am.

It will languish into the 20's hand have one small bump if / when gateways are released. The Faithful will believe this bump is the second coming and not get out.

Exactly. And look at some of these bigger projects. They have taken a couple years before they massively increase in price. I think holding is probably the better of the two strategies. If you have the patience. Appears as though many don't though. If things don't pump in a week they are flustered.

Waves is not a "Yobit" PnD coin, if you want to have daily fun there are a ton of copy-pasted coins for you to play with before they're back to one Satoshi and that 2 more appear from nowhere. But seeing Waves as a trade coin without any value for holding is completely missing the point. I did trade Waves, went from my ICO funds to 80% more but I definitely keep most of my Waves away from any exchange.

I don't know how you can say that nothing is going to the moon when my Ethereum gave me 1000% of my initial investment, when my Bitcoins went from 300$ to 750 each(and these are only 2 of many coins I've invested/believed in). Playing is fun, playing can be rewarding but everything is not meant to be played with and sometimes you'd better let some coins sleep and just wait for their real value to show up. For Waves, it's common sense that any news, partnership or weak sign of mass adoption will get the price through the roof, and we're speaking about 30000BTC common people and whales want to make bigger. They are simply waiting for the right call.

I wondered about that many times when watching some videos of some interviewers (including those interviewing waves team) and so called crytpo traders and 'experts' and most of them look like neckbeards with crappy microphone and 144p resolution camera recording from their mother's house basements. You'd think so many so called 'expert' would be rich now and posting their photos like that Bilzerian douche.
