2023 season was like Verstappen's career-high season. Like in the image above he also joined among the drivers who completed every lap in a season. 

But the last season was really like a dream for Verstappen as I don't remember any bigger domination than this in F1 history. It is like he nearly won all the races in this season. The consistency of finishing every lap is another amazing work. If you remember 2022 Red Bull car had some serious problems at the beginning of the season. But they really learned their lesson from that to come back stronger to 2023 season.

That is a freaking miracle in F1 and more in this long seasons, you can lose laps in so many ways that the odds are nearby to impossible to complete all laps, engine problems, crashes, tyres puncture, failure in any of the mechanical components etc.

Is 20% driver skills and 80% team skills to set up correctly the engine.

I absolutely agree. It is never easy for teams to have an unproblematic car throughout a season. In 2022 season Red Bull's car wasn't even able to complete a full race in the first events on the calendar if you remember. But the progress they have made so far is just spectacular.    Other teams must be also wondering how Red Bull managed to do this.

Especially Ferrari must be wondering it.  You know they had a really problematic season. Not only in terms of strategical decisions but also due to having important issues with the car cost them losing the 2nd position to Mercedes.

Gunther Steiner lost his position in Haas.

Big L for F1, he was a loved person in this world.

Not clear yet why this decision has been done.

Honestly, Steiner was a fun guy, but considering how the team has been doing, it's normal that he didn't get his contract extender. On the contrary side, Haas is so poor that last season they had to cut even the box where Steiner was, to save up 250k dollars, on a race where one team is being punished for spending a bit more than what is allowed, versus Haas who is trying to save up 250k, it's really clear that they didn't give Steiner what was required to make it work.

I do not think that they will suddenly get better, not with some new principal, that is not going to happen. I think they are going to keep having this trouble as long as they do not get some money, and for that to happen they just need to sell it to someone else.

I also think that Haas' lack of performance was not Steiner's fault, if there is no money for development, even the experienced Steiner, Magnussen and Hülkenberg can't do much. It was quite astonishing that Haas ended up with 12 points last year, you have to remember that Alfa Romeo only had 16.

They got Adrian Newey to thank for that.  Without him, I don't think Red Bull would have a dominant team even if they have Horner and his team of race strategists.  And as Newey is getting up there in age, he could retire anytime now like he was hinting some years back to start his company making boats.

So the question prolly is who replaces him and does he have a protege ready to take his place and continue car development for the team.  Dan Fallows who is a known Newey protege is working with Aston Martin.  :/

The Haas team promoted the new hire in place of Steiner as a true engineer in core which I think is disrespectful toward Steiner.He may have been not the best but cannot come with such statements.

This year though not much will change as Redbull is dominating and not much has changed in the rules.So we should wait for 2026 for some true changes and see how each team performs under those hoping for a change.

Haas actually did alright in the last 2 years or so, after the whole period of Mick and that Russian kid, they got all the money they possibly could from the sponsors, and then used that money to build a better car and get better drivers as well. I do not mean that they are doing wonderful, but for the amount of money they have, they are doing fine at least.

Haas is a poor club and no matter who is at the top, they will not do much, you can put Horner or Wolf there and they would still not be doing all that well, I still think that it would not be all that ok for them to handle it. I think it is going to be an issue where you will not end up seeing them achieve anything good, it will cause some trouble. Haas made a mistake with this decision if you ask me.

Nooo man sad news for everyone, he was a good person and a showman, always bringing to us some drama or jokes. I hope he can comeback soon in other team and one better team than HAAS.

HAAS is a strange team, they always seems near to find the car but always lose it in somepoint and ended up being a shit, i remember the season where they were amazing at qualy but a complete shit in race.

His designs have always been admired by people and RB19 is the best one ever.    People were curious about whether he was going to leave Red Bull as he was in his last year of his contract in 2023.    But he removed the question marks from people's minds by extending his contract for longer years.

In case he left the team Mattia Binotto was the most speculated person to fill his place at Red Bull. Maybe not as much as Newey but Mattia Binotto is also a pretty good engineer.

Yeah, when you look were they been few years ago, now they're doing prety fine. Haas were so desperate toget some money that even agreed to paint thair car with Russian flags. And then this story with Rich Energy sponshorship

The last few years have shown that there are very few trams that can win at all, and Haas is one of the last teams that have a chance of winning. I think McLaren is the team outside the big three that has a chance of winning this year. For Haas, championship points are almost like a podium finish.

Yes, the results for HAAS were not good at the end if you make a balance of all the years below the Gunter Steiner command, but for it was not his fault, HAAS never ended fully push in his F1 team, always and all the years we heard rumours of sellings or cut in the budget, so you cant think in bigger things when you dont have the 100% of support behind you.

Aesthetically I think RB19 is considered to be one of the best looking cars in the history of Formula 1.  But mostly throughout the years Ferrari and McLaren cars have had the best looking ones. 

Was Binotto really the most likely person to replace Newey at one point?  I think they're just rumors at best.  Red Bull could already have one earmarked among their ranks as a replacement...  What I could tell you tho is Ferrari wanted Horner as Binotto's replacement as team principal at Ferrari.  Horner turned them down.

In any case, he doesn't want to break anything over his knee and only a team boss position is an option for him. In any case, he doesn't stress himself because he is not dependent on Formula 1.

Of course he would want that.The technical directors of the so called "small teams" sure they are in the F1 circus but they are there without enjoying any success,not winning a single race like in the case of this guy.It is only natural for him now that the experience he has gotten from such a small team to bring to another team,also learn from the ones in the this new big team,it is just how life goes in general,even normal persons,we start working at a company,specialize in something and then we move on into a new company where we specialize even more,so his desire is the most natural of all.

The Ducati Lenovo factory team presentation will be held on January 22 this year and I am increasingly impatient to see several other teams who have also set their presentation and livery launch schedules for this season. Especially like the Gresini Racing Satellite team which will also do this on January 20, which is two days earlier than the factory Ducati team itself. For the Gresini Racing team, I'm only curious about the livery color, while for the Ducati Factory team, I'm only more curious about the model than the livery. Source: motogp & gresiniracing

And what team was he referring to?  Top teams are Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes.  Midtable teams which I guess could be considered somewhat big are McLaren, Aston Martin and Alpine..?  I guess Alpine is the smallest one among the midtable teams and it's a fringe big team.  And there's the rest of the bunch Williams, Alpha Tauri, Alfa Romero and Haas.

So, which team do you think will he go next?

And isn't there gonna be a couple more teams on 2026?  There's Audi and Andretti's team.  Maybe Steiner is gunning for one of them...
