Rain is expected for one week at least as far as I see from the weather report. It looks like we can have some extra fun with rain in the race. Honestly this is one of the tracks that I like to watch under dry conditions. Because most of the impressive attacks on this track have been made while it has been dry. But rain can still make races more interesting no matter what track it is.

Maybe this is an opportunity to take advantage of for Mercedes as well. If they get prepared for these conditions well they can turn it into an advantage and at least one of their drivers can make it to podium. That driver would most probably be Hamilton. He was on podium in the previous British GP but Verstappen had serious difficulties and couldn't finish in a proper place. Now Hamilton's job will be extra difficult unless Verstappen has a problematic weekend.

It will be quite interesting to be able to watch the race in rainy conditions, especially since several teams have shown their best performance in the previous FP. What's more, I see that in this race Williams managed to show their best side and show that their team is still worthy of competing with top teams like RBR, Ferrari and Mercedes. With the rainy conditions, I want to see how Williams' strategy is to be able to maintain their performance, if they can really maintain their performance, this will be a very exciting race to watch.

Driving well into the rain is not something that the team does,it is 100% driver skill that makes a difference especially for teams like Williams who under normal conditions they do not perform like many of us expect them to perform.

It is a good thing that the rain will be present during this race as some drivers may find it faster than others that specific track conditions have changed and they can make a game changing move for the race,also the rain can make sure more cars finish out of the track and all of this leads to a better race to watch.

Onve again Perez failed to reach Q3 - already 5th time in a row. This time he didn't even managed to get out from Q1. It's not acceptable. Despite it he still have good chances to fight for podium like he did week ago.
Nice to see both Mclaren in Top 3, especially Piastri - I think that not many saw such outcome coming.

I don't even see Piastri as a contender in the top 5, even, but whatever McLaren is doing in their team, it's doing really well. A lot of unfortunate slips and slowdowns happened in this qualifying, and you can see who has the better strategy and better driving skills in wet conditions all in all. Those two McLaren's are either lucky or they just have the better drive this day, though I'm sure it's the latter.

Honestly Perez is done, I do not care what the team is saying, he is done. This is one of the all time most dominant cars ever along with Mercedes turbo era, and Max is literally putting laps on people and Perez leaving after just q3? I have talked about how he is not enough a million times and they are still using him. Just get Gasly already, dude proved himself to be a great driver and yes he is not too young right now but he is alright at age and can drive at least 5 more seasons along with Max and meanwhile you can find who the new star could be after Max until both get worse. This is just the better way, Perez is just nowhere near the level he should be and there is no reason to still keep him. I mean I get it maybe they will keep him until the season ends, but why? He is just hurting the team at this point.

Perez should resign himself after such bad performances in a row now,I guess he must have some family problems or personal psychological problems as I cannot explain it otherwise.He is not at such shameful level of performance honestly and I think he is feeling a lot of pressure which is affecting him negatively as his team mate wins constantly,he has as a minimum to change cars,I would love a direct exchange with him and Hamilton or him and Leclerc,the seasons would be much more competitive but I know this is highly unlikely.

As for McLaren I imagined Lando would be somewhat at high level but never imagined for 2nd while for Piastri it is his best ever result since he joined F1 and McLaren this year.

Looks like Mclaren is trying something again. Lando was fifth last week if I dont remember wrong and looking at the practice it looks like he wasnt there. Albon on the other hand looks like he used quali setup basically he was rapid for sure. All in all I believe this race wont be too much different from last weeks race for sure. Max win, perez second, ferrari third and fourt, and alonso, russell, hamilton, noris all fighting for fifth together. That is what I believe we will see and to be fair most oddmakers agree with me as well. I cant say much about the situation for them, but I am sure they must be pretty upset that Max keeps winning, people just cash out profits each race at this point. It looks like or at least feels like simple way of making money to just bet on Max and take out profits.

In q3, ferrari and mercedes got the predicted results. The mclaren team did a great job post-update update. In my opinion, the main hero of the rankings, Albon, both passed Perez with a vehicle like Williams and hunted Alonso in the last moment of q3. I hope this performance will increase exponentially until the end of the season, because his name has already started to be mentioned good instead of Sainz. A pleasant race awaits us, accompanied by albon's performance. And a mclaren that will try to challenge Max, a mercedes and ferrari team that will chase him.

Bottas got disqualified from qualification because he didn't had enough fuel to take sample. And inusfficient fuel was the reason why he stopped on track, not some technical problems. Anyway, not very important thing as he was just 15th.

Yeah, Albon is doing amazing things with Williams, delivering points for them constantly. If he refused offer from Alpha Tauri, it understandable - it wouldn't be step forward for him comparing with Williams. And if it was Red Bull - maybe he don't want repeat what already happened for him in this team. Perez example perfectly shows how difficult to be 2nd driver of Red Bull.

Williams technically has the worst car on the grid. However Albon's work recently definitely deserves to be appreciated. If he can maintain this success in the race as well he can finish this week with even points. But it wouldn't be easy for him while he doesn't have a very reliable car about durability. Still Williams must be very contented with Albon's effort.

Hamilton and Russell couldn't get a good spot in qualifying. However Norris' challenge for the pole position and finishing in second place must have made British supporters really happy. They would like to see one of the British drivers on the grid to finish on podium. I wonder if that can be Norris this time.

Albon and Mclaren were the two big surprises here. Mclaren showed that they brought a huge huge upgrade to Austria last week and became fifth, now they are at the front line as well by getting 2 and 3, that doesn't mean they will keep it, qualifying and race are very different things for the car, as much as the driver as well plus there was rain and then there was no rain, which made things a bit different.

I am not expecting Norris to make a podium, but I do believe that he is going to be in the top 5 again, which shows that Mclaren probably had the highest jump of any team in the last 2 seasons aside from maybe early this season Alonso, that was an epic improvement as well but they have been stagnant for a while which made other teams pass them.

I also thought the same as you and waited for a grid penalty to be applied for Verstappen. However I saw the image above some time later. It really clearly proves that Verstappen overtook Russell just before the area yellow flag limits were starting. Verstappen was really lucky there.  

I wish Norris had the pole position truthfully. Because we would have watched a different result than the one we are used to watch like all the time. But still the work Norris has done is superb. I hope he can maintain his presence on podium as he really deserves it with this great driving. The recent upgrade McLaren had seems really impressive that I saw Hamilton also checking out the car after qualifying yesterday.

I think FIA keeps an eye close not only for Max in this case but for whoever is the dominating Champions in the F1 season.In 2000-2004 never a penalty for Schumacher for a lot of so unorthodox things he did back then and he didn't need to because he had the best car that dominated those years as Ferrari won 5 titles in a row.

Next Hamilton with Mercedes going unpunished for what he did,especially in 2016 when he was fighting teeth to teeth with his team mate and Rosberg beat him in that year,FIA of course did not punish him,it looks like this is a bad standard from FIA which of course I agree needs to be changed.

I can't really say that I have seen anyone improve THIS much in the past 5 years or so, maybe my memory fails me but it looks like they have done as well as they could probably do as much as they possibly could. The thing is, Max got his 11 win in a row right now and that means he is about to break record, and there is a very serious potential that he could win EVERY race this season, and that would be insane achievement, I bet that if he does that, we are not going to see anyone break that record ever.

I can't really say that I have seen anyone improve THIS much in the past 5 years or so, maybe my memory fails me but it looks like they have done as well as they could probably do as much as they possibly could. This weekend was definitely a very successful one for McLaren with Lando Norris on the podium as second and also with Piastri on position 4. Even though i think that this results will not be as good for McLaren in the next race because the track in Hungary is different again from the one today obviously it is still obvious that the the whole McLaren team is developing in the right direction. At the beginning of the season they were so far away from the top teams and now they are coming closer and closer.
It is pretty much the complete opposite than the development of Aston Martin, which were good at the beginning of the season but now they are falling behind more and more, which is weird.

Another easy win for MAX.

super strong performance for McLarens with the latest updates they are now the second team in the grid but the situation can changes week by week with the teams so close one each other.

The progress McLaren has made is just unbelievable now. The upgrade package seems to have made a big impact on the performances of their drivers. Especially Norris has started to find the opportunity to show his skills more comfortable with a faster and more stable car. Today was wonderful for Piastri and especially Norris.

The beginning of the race was incredible as Norris overtook Verstappen quickly thanks to a better reaction time. Although I knew that Verstappen was going to take his place back later it was still a lovely start to the race. After the race Verstappen ran to Norris to congratulate his superb effort also.

I was hoping to see Leclerc on podium but unfortunately he was the victim of Ferrari's poor strategies again together with Sainz.

Norris is driver of the day without any doubt. Overtaking Max on start and then that fight with Lewis - it's incredible how he managed to defend position. P4 for Piastri, it's not podium but still amazing achievement for him. It's also important to mention what pace with hard tyres Mclaren had.
Albon finish ahead both Ferrari, I'm not sure this thing shows how good Alex is or how bad Ferrari were today. At one moment several cars went through Sainz so easy, it even looked that he is going so slow because some mechanical issues.
