Very good and confident race from Bagnaia, he's picking up important points for the championship, I would have thought Aleix would have finished second on the Aprilia, but I think he was still a bit affected by his crash in FP4. This race was very important for the tension in the championship, Aleix is still only about 20 points behind Fabio and Bagnaia only about 50 points behind him, so it could be a three-way fight for the championship. Ducati will be strong again in Austria. There are still 8 races to go

Changes to make sure that Mercedes is getting easier results is something that F1 did a lot of times. Remember wing situation RB had? How about "too quick" pit stops that RB had? Basically they are making sure that Mercedes ends up getting a better result every time they can, and this is another year where they are doing it again.

There is no denying the fact that FIA loves Mercedes more than they love any other team, and to anyone who may say that if FIA loved Mercedes so much they wouldn't have given the last championship to Lewis, it was all the guy who did it and got fired right after, so you know how much Mercedes is protected when you see him getting fired that easily for making Mercedes lose.

To be precise, Aleix Espargaro is 22 points behind the leaders while Fabio Quartararo and Francesco Bagnaia are 49 points behind after winning the race in England two days ago.

Aleix makes surprised by this session, Quartararo didn't think that guy will be a strong opponent for this year. Bagnaia is most favorite besides Quartararo but Aleix begins with a good result and confidence. Aleix got 5x podium, with 4x 3rd place winner and 1x 1st champion in Argentine, so no doubt, he was a racer who most competitive for Quartararo. Aleix's biggest strength this season is his consistency, he is the only one who has scored points in all the races so far and you can see that he deserves to be second in the world championship.



Without his mistake where he thought it was over one lap too early, he would have been even closer to Fabio. Bagnaia had a lot of retirements and now it's going to be like last season where he has to win almost every race until the end.

This may or may not be a help for Mercedes, Totto loves to talk big but without seeing how they are doing, it makes no sense to calculate how it will be. I also never liked the idea of a big break during summer, I get that it may get too hot but pick places that are not as hot in order to race? In the end, summer is the time when most people go to vacations and a good F1 race to catch up during your vacation could be one of the most fun things ever.

I know it is not as good to watch in place if you are only there to watch the race, but the "feeling" of it, and things you can do, so the whole experience could be something special for many people.

Beside winning races he also need that Quartararo to not do so well and checking his consistency this is highly unlikely.From a fans point of view the fight for the title should be better than this but we are seeing the same situation in F1 also where a lot of errors and crashes are costing the Ferraris and their drivers to be much behind in points compared to their competition which is Redbull.

Misano is one of the best and technical tracks and so is also Austria for MotoGP so it would be interesting to see how these two races will unfold.

Engine regulations for 2026 have come to an end. Porsche and Audi have long shown interest in getting into Formula 1. However, there is nothing official. Both of these brands may be waiting for the finalization of the engine arrangement to announce their entry into the sport. The new engines are produced at the request of these two manufacturers. The 1.6L V6 turbo engine will be continued but the MGU-K unit will be preferred instead of the MGU-H power unit. It is aimed to obtain more power from the engine, reduce costs and use sustainable fuels. Competition is expected to increase but it is making the sport far from organic. Honestly, I miss the 90's.

Sebastian Vettel inspector is doing his jobs for "Aston Martin", that's would be a different scenario if "Redbull or Mercedes" the team who doing that action. I think this season, not really so much drama between the team.

Due "Redbull" is leading with a huge points comparing to other team, If the situation points like 2021 then complaining to the FIA would be more often.

Engine regulations for 2026 have come to an end. Porsche and Audi have long shown interest in getting into Formula 1. However, there is nothing official. Both of these brands may be waiting for the finalization of the engine arrangement to announce their entry into the sport. The new engines are produced at the request of these two manufacturers. The 1.6L V6 turbo engine will be continued but the MGU-K unit will be preferred instead of the MGU-H power unit. It is aimed to obtain more power from the engine, reduce costs and use sustainable fuels. Competition is expected to increase but it is making the sport far from organic. Honestly, I miss the 90's.
I do not remember the 90's to be fair. But if it means that Audi and Porsche will come then I am fine with these regulations. I always said that indycar is not getting as many views as F1 because they are using the same cars for everyone, which makes all cars the same so one racer that finished last race, could finish first next race and people want to see rivals fighting it out, and if F1 continues down this path the races will be closer like that.

But apparently the teams still find a way, look at how close the races where, and yet the winners are always from the best cars. This is why I do not doubt that teams will find a way to make it work one way or another until that period to get a lot better.

Beside winning races he also need that Quartararo to not do so well and checking his consistency this is highly unlikely.From a fans point of view the fight for the title should be better than this but we are seeing the same situation in F1 also where a lot of errors and crashes are costing the Ferraris and their drivers to be much behind in points compared to their competition which is Redbull.
Quartararo will try to remain consistent for the remainder of the season with his M1-2022 bike, because Quartararo knows that his bike's power is still not matched by Ducati's and other manufacturers' bikes. So he will try to get more points in each race on the condition that he must always be able to finish the race on the podium.

As you may know, Aston Martin used a new "clever back wing" in the last GP.

The other top team instead of complaining against the FIA for the use of the new wing, will probably copy the wing and use themself probably after the break.

So that is why they were in the points after many races not being there in these last race if I remember correctly.The funny thing is no one said a damn thing or complaint against such action most probably because it is the Aston Martin team which is no real threat to any leading team so that is the reason why.I also think that the other teams may copy it but most probably after checking the Aston Martin behavior for one or 2 more races so they can be sure that it will bring them benefits and not downgrade.

We are exactly two weeks away from the next race in F1 which is the Spa GP. This is one of the tracks I love in F1 honestly. There have been some suggestions to change the track a little to make it safer for the drivers but I don't know if this will be happening. I just hope that it doesn't become one of the tracks that are removed from the calendar for good. It is really difficult to predict who can win the race now as there have been many different drivers winning this race. Normally it would be Verstappen or Leclerc now. I think Verstappen might be one step ahead considering the recent performances.

Ferrari maybe found the problem with their engine.

It would be the drive shaft. They are already working on it and will be able to solve the problem by changing the engine for free as it will fall into the category "change for safety reasons"

They are looking to diversify the F1 circuits to better! between continents, and I really think this is necessary and an excellent decision.
However, I don't believe that the Spa GP will be eliminated from the F1 calendar as this is one of the historic and great circuits like Monza, Silverstone and Monaco, for example.

I think that in fact every circuit should be someone's favorite, whether because of the complexity that requires skill from the drivers, narrow and exciting tracks or those that have a lot of fast lanes, but F1 needs to keep innovating and this change is natural and necessary.
