But in this case I just want to say about the competition that Quartararo has so far provided with the weakest bike on the MotoGP grid. If Quartararo hadn't crashed in Assen, Aragon, Australia and had failed to score one point in Thailand during a wet race, then the story would have been a little different even though Bagnaia would have also become world champion this season. But the competition will be much fiercer and it won't look easy for either of them, because this season no rider from another manufacturer can compete until the end like Bagnaia and Quartararo did.
I heard about Yamaha's mistakes that make him hard to race, like the Aerodynamic aspects. The most unique thing I've seen at Yamaha is that they were able to win the world championship last season even though the bike still looks weak and even weaker compared to other manufacturers' bikes. I was surprised by Ducati, which after 2007 looked so difficult to get a world champion, even though they (Ducati) already have a powerful engine, good traction, and also good acceleration in MotoGP. The last series of MotoGP series in Valencia will be held next week, the heat of competition has started blowing from now on. Reportedly there are still 5 titles that will be won by the drivers, namely the MotoGP World Title, Moto2 World Title, best Moto2 debut title, best Moto3 debut title, while the Moto3 world title has been confirmed to belong to Izan Guevara.

Alfa Romeo will leave the Sauber in F1 in 2024.
Sauber will have Audi in 2026.

Alfa wants to stay in F1.

Not clear what will happen to Sauber in 2024 and 2025 before the deal with AUDI.

Audi in the car market is an excellent brand,where I live now it is considered the most prestigious brand to have while before Mercedes Benz was seeing as an iconic car to drive.Based on the technologies that Audi has developed lately and they have made some records with Le Mans cars with their R17 some years ago I only expect them to be serious when joining F1 and to offer real competition and not to use this sport mostly as Renault have done,as a testing ground for technologies to implement in their normal cars,Audi does not need this so I hope they even join earlier than that.

^  You know I'm a Red Bull fan but I find myself kinda mostly agreeing with you.  It's way too soft.  The FIA should've done something like get the driver's championship from Verstappen and penalize him and the team by point reduction of -130 points.  That way Verstappen has 261 points vs Leclerc's 267 points which should make the season ending in a more exciting fashion.  Grin

They could even do -140 point reduction which would make it even more exciting with just three races to go.  Lol.

Lol. I feel like the budget cap thing was enough, or just the wind tunnel stuff because that would not allow them to get a greater car in the long run, but to have all these three together? Thats a bit too much. At the end of the day what happened has happened and its not in the past and Red Bull has to focus on what they could do with the given penalties in the future so that they wouldn't be focusing on the wrong thing and suddenly find themselves in the middle of the pack. They have to use the limited amount of resources they will have at the maximum efficiency to stay at the top or they will go down hard.

There are few hours left for FP1 in Mexico GP. This is a special track for Sergio Perez obviously but he still has a difficult job ahead of him. By the way I have heard that they asked Verstappen about whether he will help Perez win in his home country. Verstappen underlined that there wouldn't be such thing and he would race as usual. It would be really weird to see this honestly. I mean how can Verstappen help him do this? He is already much faster than even Perez and he can't just slow down and try to keep the others behind while Perez is opening a big gap.

Aside from that I also find the decision about Red Bull's punishment as a little soft. Of course even small percentages can have a big impact in F1 but Red Bull still deserved a bigger punishment than this in fact.

Seems too soft to me.
The punishment given to Red Bull was slap on the wrist. The 7 million euro penalty doesn't matter much for the team anyway. It would hurt if it was included in the spending limit, but it's not included.
The penalty for using 10% less wind tunnels will also affect it less. Since red bull finished this year in the 1st place, it has 70% wind tunnel usage right. When it decreases by 10%, there will be 63% usage rights. which will cause the penalty to actually affect 7%.

Now, when it comes to the fact that the amount spent is not too much, tax refunds, miscalculations etc., the penalty may seem normal, but reality is not like that. In the spending limit event, if you do not give heavy penalties to the teams that exceeded in the first year, the other teams will calculate the plus and minus over the next year. I just don't understand FIA. By giving a punishment like this will just encourage other teams to exceed the budget given to them as well. For example Mercedes are preparing to do this right away. I really don't want to see another drama next season. FIA should just act fair for every team to prevent any big problems in the future. Abiding by the rule book shouldn't be that hard.

It looks like the top drivers started fast by nice performances in FP1 already. For now Ferrari seem to be ahead as usual. Maybe even in qualifying things might go their way as well. However when it comes to the race we would watch another Red Bull dominance most probably. I think Verstappen would win and Perez would finish in second place.

With the extra money spent from RBR they got a doped car, yes it is mechanical doping after all for 4/10 per lap.

Considering the small penalty, is better to take the fine and get a overpowered car.

In case somebody missed, FIA removed penalty from Alonso after almost week since race. Just yesterday they rejected Alpine protest, interesting why they changed their mind. It looks a bit ridiculous. Now orange black flag rule looks contraversial and there is too much room for interpretations.
Alfa Romeo will leave the Sauber in F1 in 2024.
Sauber will have Audi in 2026.

Alfa wants to stay in F1.

Not clear what will happen to Sauber in 2024 and 2025 before the deal with AUDI.
I'm not sure about it. From words of head of company it seems that they don't want to put that much money into F1 and they're going to participate in other racing series.

Drivers are doing a protest against FIA.
FIA will reduce the temperature of the heating blanket again for 2023 with the intent of removing them completely.

This will a good thing for spectators with low grip at start we will have more surprises but drivers don't wanna do it for "safety" reason.

Audi in the car market is an excellent brand,where I live now it is considered the most prestigious brand to have while before Mercedes Benz was seeing as an iconic car to drive.Based on the technologies that Audi has developed lately and they have made some records with Le Mans cars with their R17 some years ago I only expect them to be serious when joining F1 and to offer real competition and not to use this sport mostly as Renault have done,as a testing ground for technologies to implement in their normal cars,Audi does not need this so I hope they even join earlier than that.
Audi is definitely a good one, but the reality is that Mercedes is definitely a better one if you ask me, and also ferrari is not a company that makes cars, they are a racing company historically, this is known, and they do sell cars just to fund their racing competitions. This is why Audi wouldn't be really that big, they would be sort of big, but not huge big.

Alfa could find another provider for them and will continue to do what they have done, they have the funds for it, Audi will probably just be an addition at best. There are too many companies trying to get into F1, it is not that easy to get in, and when they do, it is going to be very epic to have more teams and more races in the near future.

Is there any drivers with penalties today,I am playing in a pool here in the forum and I checked the news but I don't know which driver is penalized and why,I think that the only one left who can be penalized is Verstappen as he can get the new engine that Perez got in the last race but so far I have not read anything about a possible penalty to him.

The FP1 started with Liam Lawson bringing the red flag as his car was on fire,literally in the front left tire,it is all over the F1 social media pages.The good thing is the pole position for us Europeans is at 22 Pm so we can see it in place of a movie we watch usually at that time and not wait 12 Am like last week in Texas.
