Does this indeed mean this brave guy will get exactly "0 XEL"? That could make this donation a first purely altruistic one, regardless of the intent of the donator...

Does this mean this guy will get exactly 0 XEL..? So this donation becomes a pure altruistic act, regardless of the intent of the donator..? 

I guess his BTC amount will be sent back to his sending account.

I just want to point out what most people forget: No matter who holds, receives or earns BTC ... in all cases taxes have to be paid. That means income taxes, VAT, and some other minor crap which means that half of the BTC are essentially gone by the beginning of the next year. Holding BTC imho is very risky business. The taxes are calculated based on the value the coins had at the time they were received. If the value of BTC drops by 50% it essentially means you're broke, because (as I said) the taxes will be calculated from the original value (before the drop) and you have to suddenly sell all of your BTC (or if you're unlucky even more) to cover the tax debts.

Even if they know of elastic and the donation address, its a lost cause the moment you move them.

Not sure. According to OP - "as a general rule, all donations by their very nature can't be refunded". But anyway, let the guy speak for himself; maybe he is ok with this, who knows.

In fact i know him and he is pretty desperate in regards to money. He has an account here at BTT "Architron" but hasnt been logged in since years i suppose.

Cool, expect a few things not to work 100% because I am still fixing a couple minor things.
But if you want to play with the early version, here is a quick and dirty tutorial that I made:

NOTE: The video is a week old, there are already many new things in there and the UI may look differently ;-)

Just for reference I had a problem signing my transaction which was resolved by the very helpful Evil guy

If you copy paste the message "I support etc" then there is an extra character you need to delete. Also, *it does not* work if you just type the message yourself for some weird reason (I am using Electrum).
