First I will not explain again my logical and respectful reasons to want to get XEL from early buyers before to make a donation, it has already been explained and if some people cannot read my post or understand they better no post and anyway they don't deserve my time.

Besides I have spent some time to read the last half of this thread and I have some questions if Evil-Knievel and / or Lannister wishes to answer them.

Earlier "Dazza" was working with you and specifically on the computational side of the project, I would like to say the core of the project. Now it seems that Dazza has some personal issues and did not appear on btctalk since few months, so it seems possible that he will not contribute on this project anymore.

According to EK, dazza was a key element for this project, so I would like to know if even without Dazza both of you are still confident to be able to achieve this project ?

If I go to the website http://forum.elastic-project.org/ I cannot see any post and the forum is totally empty, like there is only the frontpage and no activity, the only articles are about wordpress.
Am I on the good website, do I need to register to see the activity?

A last question is about the donation collected, I would like to know how long time the devellopement of the project can be funded with the remaining BTC considering the value of BTC remain the same?

As I have written in the terms and conditions this project is developed with no guarantee of success, for legal reasons which i am sure everyone can appreciate. In the quoted post above you are asking for a clear commitment from those who contribute to the Elastic project. These people are spending their time and their resources to make Elastic happen and I'm fairly sure they will achieve an excellent outcome. But nobody will make any written promises which could constitute a significant legal burden if, after all, the outcome differs slightly from the estimate.

Frankly, please don't be swayed if others promise you everything you want to hear! You surely remember how they promised that the DAO will revolutionize the way corporations are funded? This promise did not last a month. From good examples we learn how to be, from bad examples we learn how not to be.

Thanks for your answer Lannister, I actually did not ask for a clear commitment from those who contribute to the Elastic project.

What I wanted to know was if right now the project is still achievable. It seems that you did not encounter any issue which have made the project totally unfeasible.

So the status of the feasibility of the project is still unknow but people working hard on it.

Conclusion I am still interested for a donation that I will do this evening in order to be involved in this project.

I wish you all the best to make this project happens.

It seems that people are already receiving their XEL? Is this true? How does one redeem them from the bitcoin input?

Nobody received their XEL, just some people have transfered the ownership of their XEL.

Watching now, just under my radar, when will ICO end? I see 4800 BTC blocks left.

I don't know what you mean in: Donators need to send a BTC transaction to the BTC address above (2 of 2 multisig offline storage). The min. amount is 0.01 BTC. All donations are non-refundable. Your XEL are credited to the public key of the first input in your bitcoin transaction. If the first input is a m-of-n multisig wallet, you need m private keys to redeem your XEL. Don't proceed if you disagree or don't know what this means.

And OP why you are a hero member that you have only 127 activity?

Haven't been here in a while, any new updates? I "donated" at the beginning of ICO.

I don't see when this token will be released to be distributed to donators wallet as no one confirms they've received. pretty interesting to see when this will be on the exchanges and i would hope to participate as well.

Sorry I left you hanging marechoux. I got significantly distracted by other crypto matters. I think it's best we wait until XEL becomes natively transferable. At that time I would give a significant discount from market if you would like.

website seems down

On my side, every thing is working fine! I am pretty busy at the moment because I have an important talk next week, but I try to use every free minute for the project.
I am pretty sure that I can provide some new pictures and videos of the current state this weekend of what I personally have done during the last week.

I would say we are 95% through with the wallet. I am right now thinking about a better way to write the user provided proof-of-work algorithms than using LUA. The problem
with complex turing complete, object orientated languages is that it's impossible to foresee all possible cases that might or might not lead to problems.
But in order to have a safe and secure  system, we have to be absolutely sure that nothing bad can happen. On the contrary, an attacker only needs to succeed once.

The best example of "too-complex-to-fully-understand" is Solicity, Ethereum's internal js-like language: it went well for quite a time, until a malfunction (some might call it a "feature" or the "contract programmer's fault" but lets face it ... its a bug) was identified.
The result is awful: Of 1618 contracts that use the "send feature", 1498 are vulnerable to an attacker. Reference]http://hackingdistributed.com/2016/06/16/scanning-live-ethereum-contracts-for-bugs/]Reference

I have been experimenting with a self designed programming language, similar to bitcoin's scripting language but a lot more complex lately. My goal is to be able to formally prove that we have strict upper bounds for memory usage (Ethereum solves the memory issue with "gas" that is burned during the execution, but we cannot do this as we burn "gas" (from the proof of work fund of each work pagage) for solutions!) and to prove that certain "evil" things are just not possible (like escape the jail, replace callable functions, and so on).

I will take some time this weekend to write a bit more about this. Even if writing pow functions becomes a bit more complicated (at first, because later we can make cross compilers that can transform C code for example into Elastic's proof of work language), I think this is neccessary to be absolutely sure nothing can go wrong.

The "Elastic Language" will be powerful enough to do what Elastic is intended to do and will not include anything that we either not understand or that is too complex to be absolutely sure we have identified and mitigated "all possible side effects" in it.

Regarding the website... Yeah, the website seems down! I will write Lannister on bitmessage now! He should fix that quickly i think.

First the title and then the OP looks interesting. Didn't go through the entire thread yet. Will see how things move here.

Will the testnet be still live the 30th July?

I have an important talk tomorrow so please forgive me that I was so quiet in the last days.
While it is pretty tough to get everything working flawlessly until the 30th I think that we are really close to launch the testnet.
I would say that it's realistic to get a testnet working by let's say 4. August which is in about a week.

I will give the promised status update tomorrow after I am done with my talk. Have to get back to polishing my slides now.
