Roll Eyes  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=39497.0 - some people need to read up on stuff.

here's the advice; you like a pool, mine on it, you don't like a pool, don't.
If you have a scam accusation, there is a whole forum section devoted to it.

Don't bother feeding the troll, raskul. Plenty of people have attempted to explain DGM to HippieTech before. He doesn't understand and rather than leaving it at that, he then assumes that because he doesn't understand DGM it must be a scam.

I wonder if he thinks the moon landing photographs were faked?

sup organofcorti ! Grin

Explain all you want. The free market has made it clear that DGM is a "let big bro hold your little hand" pipe dream.

I'll ask again. Show me/ us proof (eg. raw hard data) that DGM, or at least Ozcoin's version, is fair to the miner. Hint : Its called the scientific method. Tongue

I did. You didn't accept it.

Huh

All I've seen/heard from you guys is .. "BELIEVE US OR ELSE !" or "Trust me." lol

The last block found is a prime example of how impossible it will be to make up those lost coins.

- 31 day round that saw 2 or 3 difficulty jumps
- 23 BILLION shares earning only 28.7 BTC
- the last 30 rounds have paid out 673.42207326 BTC, averaging 22.447402442 BTC per round
- deficit after the 1% pool fee = approx 69.07792674 BTC / $ 41308.60 USD

Btw, has anyone checked to see if this pool is vulnerable to any of the known stratum exploits ?

Has anyone been compensated and/or held to account for last year's "hack" ?

Now, use your scientific method and prove that this is unlikely, with at least 95% confidence. Please show working.

I just did.

The onus of proof is in your / Ozcoin's/ DGM's court.

No, you said there was a problem. The onus is on you to prove there's a problem.

Would you rather it be like PPLNS and only pay out 25 BTC for that whole round? Are you just complaining because you don't understand the math?

i'd guess, the latter. i've never had a short-changed payout from mining DGM - in actual fact, it's mostly been bang-on the averages (except when I hop into eclipse to rape the quick rounds, but hey, they deserve it)   Cheesy

Hey Graet,
are the low balance payouts working? I have had a 0.0156 balance for over a year and it wont auto payout even though I set the threshold to 0.01BTC. It says my payout address is locked, but it's set to the correct address anyway.

We've prepared an Ozcoin widget app wich enables you to monitor Ozcoin activity in a nice looking app directly on your desktop.

In other news a bug with newly created workers has been fixed Smiley
I'm very sorry, but I cannot find this widget following that link.
"The page you are looking for cannot be found"
Please somebody share a link with me!.. Thanx!

hi guys, I am new to this and currently hashing away on Slush's pool until I saw this one !

Since I am in OZ, I would love to joint the community but want to understand, what is the advantage of hashing here vs Slush's pool in simple terms?

thanks in advance!

EDIT: hah! just realized I already had an account with OZcoin pool heh, created aaaaaages ago when I was just playing around with this and there is still 0.00777025 BTC in the acc ! Should I finish mining on Slush's pool until I get 0.1 BTC payout (prob another 3-4 days) or just come straight on the OZcoin?

well, Ozcoin is currently offering:
Blockfinders bonus reward 0.5BTC per block for the next 9 block solves
1 random share per round will be awarded 0.1BTC for the next 9 rounds

So bonus BTC is you find a block and a random chance of wining 0.1btc.

Cheers,
