For those of you who mine at Ozcoin and have iPhones, check out my FREE Ozcoin Mining Monitor app for the iPhone:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ozcoin-mining-pool-monitor/id706563938?ls=1&mt=8

Estimated next mining difficulty is currently broken as the web site I get the data from isn't being update presently, but I will submit a new version soon that has a fix.

My DGM round credit has been going down for the last couple hours.  Is that normal under certain circumstances with DGM?

there are currently no known issues.

I get "miner down mails" regularly.
If I check the situation the miner is up and running but the ozcoin homepage shows "Pool: 0 GHash/s "

And this since weeks or months

I'm not dodging anyone
forum was down, went on family holiday, been extremely busy since return
people that click webchat on the site or joining IRC have been asking for and getting addresses unlocked (or email graet<at>ozco.in from the email address you signed up with including username)

the pool has had a few bugs we are working on, one is site stats getting "stuck" and showing 0 hashrates, shares are still submitted and counted during these times

I noticed that even if I set a fixed VarDiff for my miner, sometimes when I connect to the cgminer instance I see that the diff has been automatically increased by the pool. For example, one time the VarDiff set in the Ozcoin web interface was 68 but the actual diff my miner was working on was 102. Is it expected?

Another small question: I have a miner mining at about 107 GH/s, what's the best VarDiff value to set?
According to this thread by ckolivas, it should roughly be set to the worker's hashrate in GH / 1.4, so in my case it should be 76. Is it OK?

Yes.

Ozcoin does NOT have Fixed Difficulty.  You can set the low end to whatever you want with the user defined difficulty.  But Ozco has it's own thresholds so it will raise it for a certain number of shares per a time period.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
A: Top-posting.
Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail?

Thank you very much os2sam, now I understand why it changes over time.
However, I think that the Ozcoin web interface should be a bit clearer, right now the only piece of information about how VarDiff is used are the following lines (from the edit worker page):
Quote
Enter your Variable Difficulty for this worker here -1 = Dynamic, 1-10000 = User defined difficulty. Will change your difficulty without need of miner restart now. (Stratum only) Setting lower than -1 may cause 0 payouts, please be sensible.
It seems a bit misleading to me.

On another note, since about 12:40 UTC the pool's web interface seems frozen: I noticed that the round shares number doesn't increment and I have no hourly stats anymore. The pool is still accepting shares, though. What's going on?

Web interface seems broken for me also. It says the pool has no workers, but my miners are hashing away.

Also I tried connecting to the IRC, I was kicked out of the channel and banned. Wtf? All I did was ask about the website interface.

It seems a bit misleading to me.

Unclear?  Sure ok.  Misleading? no.

When the user defined difficulty was implemented it was explained and discussed in this thread so it was clear to us miners then.  But I can see how it could cause questions for new miners now.  Which is why this thread is here, for questions to be asked and hopefully answered. Smiley

Read Graet's post above.  He explains that.

Any insight as to why I was banned from the channel, and then soon after the server?

[…]
    Ozcoin cross platform desktop widget
[…]

I'd be very interested in this feature but I searched the Bitcointalk.org forum, the Ozcoin site and the Internet without finding any actual link to such a widget. I apologize if I missed it.
Anyway, maybe you could add the good iOS app developed by mgio to the list of the pool's features.
