Heh, I didn't want to concentrate too much hashrate into one pool... so I kinda bounced around....
Slush < Eligigus < P2Pool/Eligius < Bitminter/Eligius < Ozco
Not that I do pool hopping... I'm usually around for months then get bored/find better luck elsewhere/etc.
now hoping to capitalize on the 0.7.2 hashing/rollback/whatever...
so TADA!!! My mining story.

Are the stats correct? Pool: [ 1,288.74 GHash/s | 283 Users | 724 Workers ] Server Time: [ 2013-03-12 13:01:59 CET ] Bitcoin Round: [ 31,513,980 Shares | 0d 18h 30m | 99.15% Efficiency ] yes, the pool was on the wrong fork for a couple of hours, then was down for most of the day, it was 18 hours between blocks, mining continued on getwork nodes at a slow rate so share count increased slowly

Something strange is still going on.
Ozcoin.net reports that the pool's hash rate has fallen to ~1,400GHash/s from 4,000-7,000GHash/s before all this started.
My own mining on ozcoin.net has stayed the same for the past several days, so I would expect that my credit per round would increase while the rate of blocks found would decrease, and even out.
However my round credit is less than half what it was before. Am I missing something obvious, or is there something wrong happening here. I'm now mining with less than half credit per round and significantly slower blocks found than 2 days ago.
Thks

The entire network has gone through a lot of turmoil the last few days, and Ozcoin had to go down for a while. It's back up, and I"ve already switched my miners back over, but not everyone (i.e. ASICs) have.

It was my error, the mining hash rate has dropped so much that my payout credit per block changed from around 0.006-7ish yesterday to 0.03ish today. I thought the ozcoin payout calculation was screwed up and halved from 6 to 3, instead I missed the decimal point increase...

The pool is fine, the au node is still having some issues since the downtime, we are investigating currently.

Workers seem to be stuck in a constant reboot cycle or something......but miners are mining fine and I've not changed any settings for weeks. Hope it helps.

Ok what we are finding is happening is if vardiff setting is too high, shares are not submitted quick enough, which then triggers idle email - ie if you are not submitting a share in a 2minute period the system thinks your worker is idle ooc has a guide to vardiff http://organofcorti.blogspot.com.au/2012/10/71-variable-pool-difficulty.htmlcould you try setting something manually that will return ~18 to 20 shares a minute and see if that helps cheers Graet

I was under the impression that setting the value to -1 (dynamic) auto adjusted to the recommended rate of 18? Or did I misunderstand the readme in FAQ? I've always used it and never had this amount of worker disconnects. Peace.

Peace. you are correct the pool should aim at 18shares per minute, what we are finding is some people are getting higher diff than they need which then can affect the worker idle and email notifications when some coders wake up I'll get them to look into it as part of troubleshooting if you can try a (sensible) manual diff for your miner (depending on hashrate) it could help pinpoint the problem cheers

Hmmm, it doesn't seem to make much difference what I set the diff at TBH, the workers just seem to randomly stop and start of their own accord. I've tried from the default up to 3 on all 3 rigs so far - no difference. My biggest rig is only 2g/hash, the smallest is 1.3g/hash, so pretty pointless going too high I think - or am I wrong? Peace.

Is the work the miners doing being while the workers are off being recorded on some db somewhere - or am I losing it?
