Currenty the moment seems good to sell a part of your coin, but not me. I am holding at least a few more weeks.
Then I will decided If i will sell some or wait longer.

depends on what price you bought your coins, if you bought at cheaper rate then you can sell some part of it or else you can hold till the halving.

If everyone expecting halving will make the price goes up. The market will probably do opposite.

It seems pretty foolish expecting that the halving will have a dramatic effect on the price. Currently, the majority of people seem to believe that the price of bitcoins will double (though, from what point, really?)

If people are expecting that it will rise to 900+, I highly doubt it [though it could happen of course].

What you say is likely to occur: the market will probably decline if the majority still holds the belief that the halving creates an increase in price. It won't go up purely based on the hopes of the community!

this post is pretty old lol, so answering the question 3 years later doesnt seem like a good idea, but i think it is time to sell, because bitcoin has been hovering around 530 for the past few days. 530 is probably the peak price before we see the value drop back down again.

I sold 9 coins today and will rebuy after it drops to 500-520
it's a good plan. but maybe you can wait to be down again, just maybe bitcoin prices will drop to $ 490 if you're patient, but it's up to you. I also have to sell half the coins I have

I think you are going way too fast in selling. Just wait for a month or so. The price wont go wont now till halving and it will be constantly increasing. I think you should be patient and hold your coins. What you think to hold the coins and sell them near 800 to 1000$ after one month or selling them now at 530$ ?

If he is making profits by selling at current price then nothing wrong in it, as you never know whether price will be lower or higher at the time of halving.

Yup, nothing is wrong with securing profits and wait for the price to go down again when you made yourself a decent profit. If you sell for a profit of $10-$20 then it's of course not worth it unless you're a high volume day trader.

I also will hold them a couple weeks more due to this rising, I even think it will rise to  a higher amount and because of that I think holding now is still a bit better.

Is it an assurance that this inflation would become stable?. I sold some btc earlier after i just saw the inflation because this is the first time im witnessing the price to come this high ever since i started last year.

I bought some lisk but the price went down as soon as btc inflated. damn I see that this is a downside of altcoins.

It depends for what price you want to sell your coins for, if you can make a profit right now then it is possible for you to sell. You could also wait for the price to be even higher but that is up to you.

It is not the best time to sell it and as you know there are a lot of people that is holding their coin because they are hoping that the value will be higher in the halving.
So that is the risk that you should take because you are not for sure that the value is going to rise in the future.

No this is not the right time to sell your coins men you have to wait a bit longer. If i was you i would wait a couple of years maybe then he rises allot and that will be many times more profitable for you than when you are selling them right now.

That is right. It is time to buy now as the bitcoin price will rise a lot after the halving, may rise 5 to 10 times.

I expect a rise until the end as well.
But I'm not sure about the dimensions it will have.
5-10x seems a bit too much for me.This would be a price of $2900 to $5800. Could be too high...but hey if it happens I will party as all the others who are in.
I would already be happy with $1000 for the end of this year, if it's sustainable.

5-10 times in price pump is impossible but we can see 1.5x to 2x increment from current price of bitcoin.

Selling will be now not the best thing that you can do and that is because the price of Bitcoin started to rise so that is really nice of Bitcoin and people with already Bitcoin.
But it wont be that easy to earn some money with Bitcoin but of course it can be nice if you can earn profit with Bitcoin.

Actually, for those that bought their coins very close to $400 levels will be doing a great thing if they secure some profits at these prices. If you bought around $550 then it's completely different. Then it's not worth to sell at this point.

Yes right, the sudden price increase of bitcoin during the past couple of weeks allow others to sell for a profit.
