i buy and sell coins everyday and have for 10 months with paypal. currently out of stock but get coins everyday. Check us out at bitcoin friends on facebook. I also have 4 sellers on the page that offer different methods for coins, to see trusted sellers just look at the administrators under the about tab. Thanks

Just the fact that sublime5447 posted an advertisement here should be a red flag but in case it isn't I want to make everyone aware that sublime5447 and his Bitcoin Friends group are a bunch of scammers.  They use multiple aliases and will complete a transaction and then come back later and try to extort you for money to "clear your good name" while refusing to provide proof that there was ever a problem in the first place.

See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=261449.0 for more details.

The Paypal protection only cover phisical ítems, so i'm not sure if they will reverse the payment if you buy an intangible (and prohibited ítem).

If they send you the payment as a gift there is an option to do so), they CANNOT charge you back  get a refund. Another way to stop them from charging back is to immediately send the money to another Paypal account, be it a company account, a friend  relative's account, or just a spare one that you have. If the money isn't in the account, they can't charge you back

Absolutely wrong. They can and they do on a daily basis.

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.

Cant tell if joking or serious.

Paypal will make your account negative if it is charged back.

Money sent through PayPal and any other money transfer service that accepts credit cards can be easily reversed by the sender, even after several weeks. Therefore, you should only accept PayPal in trades with people you trust very highly.

This is why newbies are not likely to sell their PayPal USD for bitcoins successfully.

Some other services that are not totally safe:
- Most gift cards.
- Moneypak
- AlertPay
- Paysafecards
- Dwolla
- Western Union (they reportedly will sue the recipient to recover money in some cases)

Bank transfers need to be added to this list.  These are transfers between accounts within the same bank as well as accounts at different banks.  These transfers can very easily be reversed.

Edit: Thanks

Don't know if this has been brought up in the thread already, but say that someone transfers money to my paypal-account and then as soon as I see the money I withdraw them to my bankaccount, is it still possible to reverse the transfer?

I have held my PayPal account since 2004 - I must say it is easy to do a charge-back months and months after the fact through your bank, however, the issue with this is it puts a dim light on your own personal banking account if you were to do constant charge-backs on PayPal transactions.

When running our online business we had several people instigate them, however, as per the agreements with PayPal tangible transactions were NOT covered by their terms so we made appropriate calls to PayPal and had the request for a refund denied and that was the end of the story.

Depending on the situation you can also have your PayPal account blocked via doing charge-backs, if PayPal doesn't agree with your actions, then they will block, suspend, or even terminate your service with them.

So it is always good to maintain a good relationship with them to prevent issues, it is a shame that these things happen as it stops the good people who want to pay with this service, from actually paying with it.

With that said, it is a good practice to make small transactions with unknown buyers

Does Paypal have any problem with receiving money from BTC-e in USD. I funded BTC-e with BTC and having sold some of it would like to pull out some of the USD. As it would be going to my own personal account at Paypal from my personal account on BTC-e and only involves USD, would Paypal have any reason to hold the account for any reason? I have no interest in doing trades with individuals on PayPal because of the reversability issue, but would like to be able to transfer USD out of BTC-e without jumping through major hoops.
