More like 40% more speed at half the power of current NVidia cards used in mining, from the early benchmarks I've been seeing, *IF* their mining potential matches their increased clockrate.
Have to see if the changes to the archetecture make them more efficient on some coins that current higher-end NVidia cards do NOT mine efficiently on like Ethereum.
mining is never compared to gaming preformance wise its just impossible to compare them head to head

I think its around 15mhs
This is sp-mod opensource release 62 mining lyra2v2 (980ti 1275MHZ core) The sp-mod private #5 does 16.2MHASH at the same clocks. I'll check 62 later and report, will try to overclock it as well Ive got 16.3 at 180W without OC and 80 build

They will be too expensive for ETH mining. Not be worth the power efficiency in the end.
NVIDIA is talking about a card running at 2000Mhz drawing 180 watts of power @ 67 degrees centigrade. How does that NOT change the world of (ethereum) mining?

I'd still like to see what F@H PPD are like out of a GTX 1080 and a GTX 1070.

I know what I did, I kind of saw this coming too. And i also know that there is a chance that it will get fixed this time. And then we may even see speeds well beyond 19.6MH/s, which it what 1080 currently clocks with a 1GB DAG file.

I can't tell. 19.6MH/s at least, 40MH/s in theory (320GB/s of bandwidth divided by 8KB of DAG data per hash)

It might be the same reason why neoscrypt is 0.450mhs but im not sure...

Maybe the nVidia cards needs more miner optimisation. Does it mean our old AMD cards can last longer?
