Did you try powering the controller and only one or two boards at a time, to make sure it's not the PSU overloading?
I tried today with 3 board connecting to power supply but it is running for sometime and getting off only psu is running can it be problem of overheating means if the temp is getting higher so it is getting turned off ?

Yes i tried only connecting 2 board then also same problem only PSU fan is running Try just the controller the 1 jack See if you can connect to the controller and if the fans run. With no fans running . Could be dead fans. Or dead fan jack on controller or psu has weak volts. Did you run the fans at 100% manual setting. That can kill the fan or the fan jack. Other trouble shooting do you have a working second s9. If you do pull the psu and try it on the dead s9 If runs you have A psu issue.

you definitely damaged the controller by running fans at 100% . order a new one from bitmainwarranty if you are in the usa. the cost will be about 118 + shipping. I will repeat this in huge letters Never set fans to 100% do 90%

Can Phil or god forbid Bitmainwarranty give the list of what not todo. Here people are replacing controllers left and fucking right and now it finally comes out that they arent meant to run at full fan speed? What about letting the software control it where it would pulse up and down thus causing spikes in amperage as it comes from factory. KNowing that the controller is made to fail(why would i think otherwise its planned obsolescence ffs), This S9 is the biggest POS fail ive seen . And the countless excuses being made for this company just grinds my gears. makes we wonder why i didnt get that gig. Must pay rather well.

And the countless excuses being made for this company just grinds my gears. makes we wonder why i didnt get that gig. Must pay rather well. I posted this months ago. I said running fans at 100 % for months is not advisable. I said it would burn out fans and or controllers. I said it was common sense to set at 90 or 95 %. Here is another piece of info. The manual does not tell you this. So it is the manual and bitmaintech that should mention this . My advise months ago was my advice no one else placed it but the fact is 100% fan setting is wrong on this gear. Since I killed a controller at 95% it could be a setting of 85% is better then my setting of 90% 95%. I will also mention the s9 is more delicate then the s7 or s5. My annoyance should be made clear do not set the fans at 100 percent. Is my advice and no one else's I just get annoyed when people do not practice common sense. In the case of fan settings bitmaintech should say a manual setting for your fan of 100 % is not advisable They don't say it. They do say overclock of freq voids warranty. I know of nothing anywhere that says setting fans at 100% will void warranty. I told him just buy one from bitmainwarranty. Since shipping it to China and waiting for it to be returned costs more then just buying one from bitmainwarranty in Colorado.

well it could be the fans are damaged not the controller. and once again it really is not your fault since they do not say anywhere don't set the fans on manual speed of 100% But there is no question that you need to replace 1) the fans and the controller----- worse case 2) the controller 3) the fans------------------------- best case try a simple test set freq to 500 fans to 80% see if it runs longer like for hours and hours. if it keeps running at 80% fans and freq of 500 . you could stay at that point or you could order rma on fans and controller. my guess is lower freq and lower fans won't help. my guess is you only need the controller. of course you will need contact bitmaintech in china vs bitmainwarranty in usa. my opinion is they should have warned about 100% manual fan speed setting. they did not. i warned about 100% manual fan speed settings but I am just a miner.

I tend to forget that many people have bad or unstable net connections. I have read poor internet is common in India For example here is a ranking for India as number 5 for bad service http://www.elist10.com/worlds-top-10-countries-slow-internet-connection/India is around .25 speed vs my speed of 50/15 so I am 200x faster on download and 60x fast on upload here is the fast list http://www.elist10.com/worlds-top-10-countries-with-fast-internet-connection/so if the poster sunny163 is under 1megabyte speed and more traffic is on his service or the service sees his 24/7 online with the miner it could be simple throttling by his net provider.

Usually if something works fine for a period of time and then stops I think overheat. Do you have another PSU to try?

hi again all,
still having issues with this S9, I have rebooted it about 6 times now, it keeps restoring to factory defaults then just disappears from the network???
then when you reboot it, its network lights, light up briefly (and the coinciding ones on the switch) then go out after 1-2 seconds, it cycles this over and over, on and off with both the "fault" and "Normal" LEDs dimly lit,
It also doesn't respond to having its reset button held in for 10 seconds,
Any advice or should I just contact bitmain again

Also done the usual, swopped the PSU's about and given it a brand new APW3+ (the new ones) as I have had 3 of the older style ones fail so I was kinda hoping it was the PSU Regards Alex
