USA, Russia, Ukraine, Iceland and other limited service location are primary repairing the original item send in as the priority, however, if the damages are extensive but repairble, to reduce the mining time loss, the repair cost estimate be issued based on the actual damages but the replacement PCB may be send out to you to save a few days.

Main goal is to return the same PCB the customer send in.  Also, if we do ship out the replacement, BitmainWarranty.com will offer 30-day limited service guarantee (workmanship guarantee) on the item or retain the original warranty duration of the unit whichever the longest.

Usually, bad S9 hash PCB can be repaired and ship back to the customer the same day or the next business day.  (common duration be 1-3 days but the main backlog be after the repair is confirmed, the time delay while the customer service rep wait for the payment from the customers.  Item will not be send out until the payment is received in full.)  Some occasion, notification email seem to end up in the Spam folder of the customers.  Other few days delay from customer opening the new ticket (sometimes with a different email address inquiring the same repair on another ticket number)

Hello,

I Have B2 S9, so it should be hashing 12.9 TH/s but for the past 7 days one of the boards (chain 4) is not hashing as fast as it should... Any ideas?

ATM it is hashing around 10.5 TH/s

BTW why am I missing chain #2? Never noticed this before...

Thanks

those r some good lookin temps my dude! maybe they are TOO GOOD. i know bitmain support emailed me back saying my temps were too low and that might cause my miner to run slower because they said it needs a hotter temp when starting. they wanted me to raise the temps where i was running a bunch of machines which all of the other ones worked fine it was just that one that hashed slower. did the temps where your running the miner drop in the past week or so? idk how true the temp claim is to be honest because i wasnt about to raise the temps on the room and on every miner in there just to get an extra th/s or 2...not worth the risk imo.

maybe i missed it....has anyone tried the manual freq firmware on the new s9's that auto clocks itself??

I know on my S7LN when the temp dropped below 48degress it would drop a board. 52+ is better and runs with no problems at all.

Has anyone had luck making the S9 a bit more silent? under powering them seem to help at all?
And does the antminer software have the ability to change it's hash rate based on time of day? ramp up during day when I'm away, be a bit better when I'm home etc.?

Since Avalon gave us the finger by not accepting BTC  Huh just ordered a B23 which will now put me at 10x of the s9's.

Canaan/Avlon's loss as I would have rather spent the $1700 on 2 of their miners but oh well.

Read back in the thread. Been discussed ad-nauseum here. To all the above - no.
Pre-autotune firmware you could tweak them a little for speed and fans, now that is impossible.

I tried it.  Didn't work.  Nearly bricked the unit.  Had to reset and reflash to get it working again.

Bitmain's price on these things drops faster than I can mine BTC with them.  Hard to imagine anyone who has purchased an S9 up to now has come out ahead of those sitting on the sidelines.

Are the issues you guys have been seeing with the S9 related only to certain batches?  Trying to decide if it is worth the risk to buy one.  Thoughts from S9 owners?

I just ordered my first S9 today, but with all the reliability issues i've read about since I am now a little worried.

Wouldn't it be in Bitmain's best interest to fix all of the simple issues rather than have to spend time and money on customer support and repairs? I mean, is Bitmain profiting off these repairs and warranties?? Seems like they must be if reliability is as big a concern as it appears.   Huh

Hi guys,

I was hoping it would not happen to me, but I got a broken S9 blade.
Shows up only 16 asics and will not mine, using another port on the controller, same problem with the board on the other ports.
However I do not have warranty any more, I still would this board get repaired.
I know about Bitmainwarranty but it is the US, is there a repair service in the EU?
Some here have (too bad) maybe good experience shipping for repair...

bitmainwarranty said they have places in other countries too if I understood him correctly.  Email them and see.  I thought he said they had a place in the Ukraine.

Chain 2 wise, it is not missing, data port you are connected to is 1 3 and 4

hash rate wise, may have to try power it off. then power it back on.  if that did not fix it, please try the newest firmware November 8.  (if your firmware version has fan control, this will take that option away)

One option is to reset the current firmware on your S9 first, before attempt any firmware upgrade to the newer version.

If you can ship it cheaper to Ukraine in a very good protected packaging.  (5-6 times bubble wrap and place in a big box with enough bubbles or popcorns)

it can be diagnosed for repair and it can be returned to you

Please email request to support@bitmainwarranty.com   you will be assigned a ticket number for the repair request case!

its not so much related to certain batches. its more related to how alot of people chose to run their miner which was outside in the heat of summer and or in a tiny room at over 90 degrees room temp lol. usually if you run them under the proper conditions you will be fine. i havent had a miner die yet *knock on wood* but some miners just fail for no good reason other than stuff failed....it happens. but the ones being abused dont fall under this category.

im just glad bitmain came to their senses on the price of the 12th model....they jacked that price up so high even after btc prices dropped by $50. it was clear that it was a price hike based on total greed. i have a bunch of s7's i need to upgrade but the room those run in cant have the fans whirlin up and down up and down every second like the new batches do so i cant really upgrade them unfortunately....unless i wanna pay out the butthole for avalons 6th/s miner which i deff dont at those prices.
