Giving up gambling is not easy

Nah. Giving up this addiction is not so easy buddy. Its a one type of virus which cannot be vanished.  Whenever you will see someone winning a huge amount , you will automatically get diverted to it without thinking about the loss you will suffer .

Hi guys and girls! After making quite a lot of money then losing it and crying about not hapfmthe afternoon I have decided to give up gambling for good.  Its not for me in have a much too addictive personality. So now I just plan to work for casinos but not gamble.

The thing is you know you should cash out but you always want just that little bit more and then u lose the whole lot. I'm stupid and greedy. Right after I lost i put more in and doubled it then I went all in and lost it. So yes u can make a killing gambling with such a small about like a few dollars but then u lose all u make and waste a lot of time and energy and end up getting upset. Also i shake like mad when I gamble and I hate that. I tremble. When I lose I can't believe what the screen is telling me.

So any thoughts ? Ways to stop ? Ways to gamble with play money ? Maybe there are dust ga!going casinoes I can use? U know just for fun and for the fix.

gambling addiction is a little bit hard to stop, but trying to think of it, and comparing it to other addiction gambling are still not that complicated to others like drugs.

Best thing to do is to find some other hobby rather than using the internet sitting and putting your money at stake.

try to play some online games, or offline games,.. join some sports group, or try to do some studies in advance usage of computer like ethical hacking in linux.

There's a lot of way and it depends on you which way should you take to put stop on your addiction.

we all know that it is hard to give up gambling. because gambling is addictive and when you start playing it you get sucked in and it becomes harder and harder when you keep playing and get more addicted to gambling. the only way to give it up is to just close the browser and leave.

But gambling is not always bad but some people makes it bad for themselves .

To be honest controlling is even much difficult than leaving something, so yes better to leave gambling if you have lost control over yourself. I think your story is something that every gambler experienced in his life, more then once for sure. I can't count how many times I was on zero.. but that is gambling. You need to be prepared for that. Maybe now you understand how much is important to have self control in gambling, to have patience, and to know when to stop. This skills are good for life itself, I mentioned that many times in my posts. Cause of that, and other things I see many similarities between gambling and life. Both are full with ups and downs.

Now you have time to practice this skills, and when you have some extra money try again, and always just with extra money, never with all in! I wish you good luck!

Bad idea. Don't work for a casino if you have an addictive personality, being around something potentially addicting is just going to be a recipe for disaster. It's like having a gaming addict station a stand at E3, all that's going to do is get them even more addicted to video games. You need to completely disconnect yourself from gambling, not just reducing yourself to wanting to work for casinos.

I agree that if we addicted to something to come out from that is not a easy matter but if you are really try hard nothing can be impossible but for that you should follow the methods that what you preferred to come out from that. Other wise it is not possible there are many people are quited this gambling and now they leaving happily.

Believe me human beings have abilities and will to do and to quit anything they want to do.First you need to convince to yourself that what are you practicing is bad thing and you are addicted to it.Then comes next step which is to take help of people around you and have healthier activities which should be alternative of gambling.

get into playing mmorpgs it's basically the same thing and you can't really lose anything but your time. many many many mmorpg games have items or currency that people will buy at an agreed upon rate.

if quieting gambling was easy everybody would have been doing it and nobody would have became addicted to gambling, and in that case none of the casinos could make any money. all of this business is based on people losing money and keep coming back to lose more.

Not really, gambling was made to give people something to relax , not everyone has enough time to go to bars and enjoy ( apart from weekends ) . So yes they can enjoy with gambling. And yes, truly said that addiction cant be left behind easily.

yeah it mostly works all of the time, like in other addictions.

finding and diverting your hobbies to a different one helps you forgot your current addiction.

Actually in all of the addictions there are no easy way to quit.

All must take it slowly and step by step to just get away from it, whether looking for some other things to divert your addictions in some hobbies, or just by giving out more time to your family.

Most people that are addicted are lured into the greed that gambling stimulates. It's sad to see nobody can be really immune since many people are attracted by money and wealth.
