Giving up gambling is not easy

There is really no such an "easy" when you already used to it and started to being addicted to it, but the real issue here is that if someone could this obviously you also can. It's about accepting defeat and move on.

Right, it is really not easy to give up, socially for addicted person. I know that i am not addicted person but instead of it i never accept my lose. And in this way, i was doing more bets to recover our lose, Than i realized it was more bad way, better is that accept our lose, and don't play again and again to recording lose, Just quit it on the time. Next day, play it with a new hope and forget the past.     

Thats really not good mate because it will bring more and more loses i guess it is needed to make some more assessment if you cant handle to stop better to limit loses by placing little amount of money to spend.

Going to the professional who can treat your gambling addiction should be the last option to do. We still have our family that's willing to help us and we can ask for their guidance on how to quit gambling. They will heartily help us since they are our family and you do not need to pay anything.

You may have a point,that a family must have a big part for your big change.There are also professional counselors you can ask for hep like a pastor,priest or a  person you trust and respecetd. I think are are also support group and hotline numbers whom you can call for an advice.

I do  hear  of  this   gamblers too  on  which they could  able to manage their  losses. Some gamblers  dont really matter  on  lossing  as  long   they gain  profit  in the end and   i do  know  that they are  playing  poker and   sports betting.  They are actually making money  with that, only experienced  gamblers could   only do that. Giving  up  on gambling  is  not easy  as  long as you  know  you  can make profits with it.

well it's not really easy to give up your habits just like cigarettes for me. gambling is my life when i was on senior high school and still it's my life. maybe i can give up gambling if there will be a two option between to choose. it's either wife/family or gambling. now that i'm currently working . gambling for me is an entertainment today. I'm just gambling because my friends and I bonding each other in a casino with a goals like if i lose 50 usd i will go home . just like that.

yes no doubt that these source can help you but i think the most important thing is your own wish and your own determination, which can really help you in controlling gambling.

Yea you're right there. As long as you're benefitting from what you're doing, it would be very hard to quit. Though that mostly is not the case as majority of gambling people seldom win. But it depends on the effects of gambling to the person if they would find it hard or not

Indeed.. perhaps divert your interest into something that gambling is not involved.. try to stay away from things or places that will lead you to think about gambling. Have some fun activities with your family / friends that may help you to forget about it. It's really hard to quit but if you're really willing to give it up then it's up to you.

yes that is something very easy to say but very difficult to apply, i have my own experience in this situation, i tried my best for so many times to stop gambling but useless, although for quit gambling but not for a long time. i start is up again after some time, and still playing gambling.

It is not easy at all to give up gambling because of its very attractive nature which always gives hopes to players that someday he will win and all what he is loosing is some type of deposit what he will take once. there are times when we would give up and quit gambling forever. just a matter of time I think. maybe if you already have a family that can make you stop gambling.
for the moment I am still playing because I still feel good with gambling and really did not ruin my life. mainly, I was young and yet still have a family, so sometimes I feel free to do so. indeed gambling is not easy, because it requires luck in addition to a good strategy.

It's all about the will, if you have the will there's always a way. Just think that your future would not be better if you will continue to gamble.

Yes it is really hard to give up gambling especially if you have fallen deep into it. For me, if you really want to exit your addiction in gambling, you need to know what re your priorities like think of the thinks that you want to lose by gambling. Also, think of the profit that you can earn if you will invest your money than to make it lose in gambling. You need to ask yourself if gambling is really beneficial for you or not. If not, then it is really the time for you to quit gambling

The thing is we like to have fun, a different kind of fun as we also threat this a competition. If we win, it's something we can be proud of as more people are losing in gambling but we have a chance to win. Although sometimes are just temporary but we were able to enjoy the moment.

it is obviously hard especially for those who are extremely addicted to gambling and are in debt up to their necks because of gambling and all the money they have lost in it.

but good news is that gambling addiction is a known problem and there are even support groups for that to help you give it up.

Yeah gambling addiction is so common right now that it would be easy to find professional help in case you need one. But it would be a lot better though if it starts with the people close to the person. I think it's rare that it would come to a point that professional help is required as having your family and friends around can be a very big help if you want to quit gambling. Of course there's the part of the person himself and how bad he really wants to quit.

I disagree with this any addiction must be treated by a professional, the help of friends and family members is necessary but a professional will be able to dig deep into the reasons behind this addictive behavior.

But most of the gamblers will not allow someone to handle their money because if they know that you will not do anything with your money but to gamble.

So it tends that many of them will just hold their money at their own pockets but if they have the own willingness to totally forget gambling.

If someone is winning from gambling then I am sure he wont consider reading this thread because when winning in gambling we feel like boss and personally I had a purple patch where I hardly loose any bets (betting in sports) and that time I remember I used to behave like rich people and now when I am broke I remember those days.
Impossible to quit once you are starting winning.
