is there a windows compiled wallet i can use?

I'm currently using a wallet from myetherwallet.com, but I'm not sure if a newly created wallet from there would work or not. I also don't know if I am going to receive the coins because they are still pending.

Aside from that I don't know of any way to get a Windows wallet for Ether. I've never seen a qt wallet, don't think it can be done. idk

Maybe that will be on the wrong fork. I'm not very sure about what I'm saying here, but I guess there are two different versions this could be compiled on and it's likely compiled on the newer one. Ends in .10. I think Eth HF went off of .10 and Eth classic off of .9

I downloaded the rar anyways. https://build.ethdev.com/builds/Windows%20Go%20develop%20branch/Geth-Win64-latest.zip (note this will download a file to your PC if you click it)

I get a "geth.exe" in the build. Reading the notes it does appear to be based off of Geth 1.4.10. From my understanding this does not work with ETHC.

https://build.ethdev.com/builds/Windows%20Go%20develop%20branch/

Looks like you can pull an older version too. Maybe try with an earlier version, or maybe the ETHC devs can pull the source and modify it for ETHC.

The OP was just asking for a transaction to test his new wallet, so I don't think he really knows. I think we all need to work together to make this work.

which wallet did you install? mist? jaxx?

This is how I got a wallet.

Not mist but https://github.com/ethereum/mist/releases

https://github.com/ethereum/mist/releases/download/0.8.1/Ethereum-Wallet-win64-0-8-1.zip

You can't have the updated blockchain though. So if you already had this software you need to rename Mist and Ethereum in appdata to start fresh and choose no fork.

I don't know how they're different. Ethereum sucks compared to btc. I can't even see my transactions wtf?

Can someone send to 0xAD3567CCF6269703C36B73819199B2a9Af5130BD

I installed ethereum wallet and clicked no to fork. I've never used eth before.

http://etherscan.io/tx/0x3e1ffa4361dc85f06a47c14f8c300e7d49619c049f52667b794fcd152b20abe2

Hehe, transaction cost more than I sent. I sent all I had left after dumping my Ether before the DAO hack happened.

Thanks

Seems to work for me. It uses geth 1.4.10 and asks about the fork.

You don't even need to trust us since we're using eth code. Ethf had to get new code not ethc.

Forking crime out may have its merits. The only dapp I saw on dao is roulette. Say gambling becomes huge in ethf.

1. Fbi visits vitalik telling him to stop gambling so he forks to ethfbi.

2. Investors want their money back so they want another fork ethf2.

How many forks will it take? All the proforkers will choose which fork? Everyone will be forking everyone else.

If you have them before the fork, yes.

Yes It makes no sense to fight ethc. You already have ethc and we're trying to give you value. Anyone with 10k I'll give you $50.

Bitpop rescuing ETH. I never thought I'd see that.

Luckily I don't have any left but I'll be following this as it's an interesting precedent.
