Wherever it makes sense to do so, the "true" version of any deployed contract related to the Digix or Maker contract systems should be interpreted as residing on Ethereum (ETH) "pro-fork" chain. Any system updates will proceed as planned on ETH.

We are not responsible for any ETC stolen via replay attacks against our systems. Users are encouraged to be cautious of replays on ETC and to use a splitting contract such as the one published by Kraken to preserve any ETC they care about.

From my perspective, none of this matters. This coin seems like a great candidate for a pump by scavenging off ETH fomo and offering "cheap" ETH to those who missed out on the bubble. Probably more dumpage yet to come, but to hastily dismiss this coin seems unwise.

Do know if the ETC balances were granted to ETH holders on poloniex, who were lending all of the coins when the "gift" was sent out?
I guess that happened to me.

i hope this pumps so hard...but i got a feeling it will be skilled traders trading on a permanent downtrend that will take all the btc and hold the etc at the same time...then once its real cheap it will go back to current price...rinse repeat until coin dies

How do I know what chain my wallet is on. I have followed all instructions on creating new and backing up old, yet I see all history of transactions going out but old wallets not listed? I have created new wallet but on old fork or so How do I check this is correct?

I guess that happened to me.

I've asked the Poloniex support about my ETH placed in lending at the fork time and got the answer:

"When you loan funds, you forfeit possession and control to a borrower in exchange for a debt owed to you. If your funds were on loan when the fork occurred, whoever was in possession of them at that time received the ETC. This may have been the borrower, or it may have been another trader the borrower sold the ETH to. A trader buying from the borrower may even have withdrawn that ETH from Poloniex before the hard fork."
