Buying back into ETC after the huge dump on 27th is going to be the smartest thing anyone can do right now. I started mining ETC again and thats what you should all be doing.

LOL how will realworld investors/stakeholders/business and even everyday users take crypto and alt coin seriously with ETH/ETC actions and craziness happening like this?!?!  It's like BTC stupid annoying lil bother that keeps fucking things up always for the family!  Nobody will take seriously now!!  LMAO.  I can see poloniex taking a big hit too.

LTC is just the retarded lil brother now for BTC haha.

This is the software people were running last week, DAO theft and all, and it was worth over a billion. Nothing changed except who is using it. ETC is the new name for what we were calling ETH last week.

All that actually happened here was that a new fork was created based on an earlier state of the ledger and a significant group that includes main devs, miners and investors left to follow that new creation. They were also backed by strong voting majority, but in a very low turnout vote.

What we are seeing is price discovery for ethereum without its previous big investors or devs. They brought ETH over 1 billion in the first place...BUT...the spite money will be hard to predict. There are a lot of rich BTC and other alt coin supporters who are in competition and would like to see the ETH devs and their investors fail.

Nice summary although I don't quite agree with the conspiracy part. ETH devs and investors dug their hole entirely on their own and I doubt someone hates them so much that they would spend millions of dollars to make it fail. Some opportunist pump-n-dumpers might fuel the mayhem but I'm quite certain ETHers are fully capable to self-destruct if they try hard enough.

Volume is incredible! 13,000,000 ETC 13,000 BTC

Seems like they dumped all they could and the smart ones bought ETC.

Keep it up, more exchanges coming soon! Poloniex supported us and did extremely well.

Whether those buying ETC were "the smart ones" will be seen in the future.
There are still a hand full of ETC eventually soon owned by the hacker waiting to dilute ETC value.

Polo didn't "support" ETC. Polo has been making a lot of commissions on trading ETC.
BTW: Polo's interests are not congruent with folks trading at Polo. Wink

Nanopool opened ETC pool.
Now you can mine Ethereum Classic with us!

http://etc.nanopool.org

Would it be possible to get the stats page calculator updated on etc.nanopool.org?  Looks like it is estimating ETC earned based on the old ETH numbers.  This would be very helpful when tracking what is going on. Thanks.
